I can't help but wonder. How practical is it to get hair dye for your highlights in the middle of bumfuck DemonLand. Does Minerva or whomever goes between worlds get him a new batch of hair dye every time he crosses?

This is getting really shitty, killing Norman was a mistake

He's not dead. The series has lost its shine, though. I hope we get back on the vibe soon.

He's dead until we see what they do with male geniuses

I'm pretty sure this guy just waits all day sitting in the same pose hoping to impress any escapees by looking like some intimidating mob boss, he probably has all the time in the world eating cookies and weird hair styling

My first thought when I saw these pages was about Steins Gate and Okabe
Anyways, I have not been feeling these last chapters, the only interesting thing since they left the farm was how the friendly demons were not all that friendly
Let's hope Minerva saves the manga

is so obvious that the "adventure" part didn't work(seriously 10 chapters) so the author had to rush everything until Minerva, I hope it gets better from here on

This fucker is shaped like some sort of British caricature.
Large pear shaped body, thin as shit limbs

>is so obvious that the "adventure" part didn't work(seriously 10 chapters)
The weekly rankings and CPs say the opposite.

Anyway, what I do not understand is the people who say the series went bad after Norman left, as if he was a great character. Even if he was with the others, everything would still be bad. And why? Because what ruined the series was the exaggeration of keikakuing. 51 chapters and no stakes.

On the contrary, he's not dead until we see a corpse. Having no information on how he could live doesn't discredit the fact that he literally wasn't shown dying while every other victim was.

This. Norman not being there is not the problem at all, even Mama was more entertaining to watch.

While I don't think he's a great character or anything, it's easy to see why people would be upset at his absence. He's popular because he's the token character in love that people love to root for and he's also a "pretty boy" and that gets the fangirls panties all wet for the eleven year old shota.

>He's popular because he's the token character in love that people love to root for
I disagree. This love he has for Emma is just a plot device, far from something really engaging.
>he's also a "pretty boy" and that gets the fangirls panties all wet for the eleven year old shota.
In terms of sales, this is quite plausible.

But to me he's a pretty dull character. Like a robot with blond hair.

That kind of character is shitty in all types of media, if he was going to become even more one dimensional with being "in love" his only characteristic then I'm glad he is gone for a while.

>I disagree. This love he has for Emma is just a plot device, far from something really engaging.
Yes but that's you, user. You know a lot of people don't look that deeply into things. They see a character loving another and they root for it and that's that. I'm not saying you're wrong or anything but people do buy that sort of thing. Just a quick search of his name on nip twitter and half of them talk about his love for Emma.

I don't think Norman's characterization is great but I still want him back purely because I'm curious what happened to him and what role he could possibly take from here on out. Like would he just stay the same, waifufagging and plotting and nothing else? Or would he actually get some personal goals that aren't just related to Emma? If he can't change that radically, have him do something morally questionable that puts him on the spot with her or something. Make some conflict where he can grow as a character - individually but through her.
I don't know, maybe I'm too hopeful even though I don't think Ray's characterization is stellar either. Emma's pretty good but one good character doesn't cut it.

Half of the fanbase are shipperfags. Of course they want that shit character back.

>all this bullying

I get it. You're right.

I find myself at odds. On one hand I want the tense moments and high stakes to come back so we can get the characters to do some thinking, planning, and playing multidimentional chess. On the other, I want some slow moments so the other kids can be fleshed out.

What do we know of the kids other than Ray and Emma (And to an extent Gilda?) Next to nothing. Don and Anna come close to having a few character traits but that's it. The rest of the kids are just that. Kids.

I think they should just leave the smaller kids behind at the base (if it's trustworthy) whenever they go out to do something. Take Don, Gilda and Anna since they've said more than two sentences and focus on that smaller cast. As it is, it feels like a way too ambitious goal to develop all these small children when they probably will have a ton of shit to do so cut the amount of them down and focus on what's left.
Adult characters should be easier to handle if more come this way.

>On one hand I want the tense moments and high stakes to come back so we can get the characters to do some thinking, planning, and playing multidimentional chess. On the other, I want some slow moments so the other kids can be fleshed out.
I think it has a way of balancing both. See Urasawa's stories, for example, tense thrillers with great characters.

Would Emma be okay with leaving the kids at all?

If the place proves to be safe then it's better to leave them than risk their lives out there anyway. She might get a little upset but I think she'd be willing.

True. It would be nice to see Emma having to compromise her goals again.

We already know hes alive from the volume release. They showed black mama crossed out, Norman wasn't.

this

thats the problem when a manga gets popular.faggots will care about the most unimportant shit instead of focusing on the plot
