Elon Musk to team up with Germany on nuclear fusion

With the German breakthroughs in fusion research at Greifswald with the Wendelstein 7-x, a 99.7% German funded fusion stellarator, even Elon Musk is trying to get some share of the pie.

"The best fuel the German stellarator can get is right there on the Moon and Falcon Heavy is the best rocket to get it from there", said Mr. Musk talking to the German nuclear fusion association in Berlin on Thursday.

Asked whether Germany will cooperate with SpaceX and Musk's The Boring Company on mining Helium 3 on the Moon, the chief scientist and CEO of the Wendelstein 7-x operations, Prof. Thomas Klinger said, "We welcome all cooperations with Mr. Musk and SpaceX, even though I must say, Germany cannot and will not share its fusion secrets."

ITER pisses all over it desu... and the fact the a shill like Elon Musk is getting on it just makes it look more like a money grab...

>Germany cannot and will not share its fusion secrets

Nice secrets you have there, Germany.

>Germany cannot and will not share its fusion secrets."

what are they hiding?

they discovered how to improve their nuclear capabilities by using melanin. thats why they brought in the refugees

>Multi billion dollar money pit
>Will never break even
>Oy Vey, submit to our financial hegemony or we won't share our secrets!

No thanks Germany, you can keep the secrets to the worlds most expensive paperweight.

The secrets are in German, so your NSA is useless and Google translate is not good enough for complex technical descriptions.

Its a time machine, we will go back in time during WW2 and fix all mistakes that were made.

they discovered a way to fuse black sperm with white eggs, the destructive energy released is enough to wipe all trace of civilization from a continent

Fusion technology is already a thing, or can at least easily become a thing, but the USA won't let it happen because it'll threaten the petrodollar.

Think about it, how little time passed from the Nuclear bomb to the nuclear powerplant? How much time has passed ever since the Thermonuclear bomb/H-bomb was invented? It doesn't make sense that such energy potential hasn't been harnessed yet. Only plausible explanation is strong political factions such as the USA and Russia benefiting from it not being invented.

Nah you're just an autist

Fusion has to be the biggest energy meme after thorium
gizmodo.com/japan-wants-to-ring-the-moon-with-solar-panels-to-power-1474946201

Musk and Japan team up to buils a giant ass solar ring on the moon.

BFR can carry 300 tons to the moon.

Uhh, you know a good portion of the US speaks German as a second language right? Hell, the Amish speak it as their first language.

>hey Hans why not build a fusion power plant on the moon
how does he plan on bringing all that cheap and clean energy back to earth? Is he going to fly batteries back and forth for charging or transfer it back through a 6 gorillion gigawatt laser pointed at Jerusalem? Elon Musk is a fucking meme.

checked and rekt

>implying humanity won’t end itself by way of the LHC, KEK.
yeah ok sure guy.

This totally isn't a deathray guys

wow they aren’t even trying with this garabage anymore holy shit.

>inverse square law
why not just wrap the whole moon in copper wire and use the current generated by the flux as it's passes through the earth's magnetic field. Of course the moon will eventually decelerate and crash into the Earth but we'll be luminous internet space beings by then right?

On the moon?? What?

Alphabet agency -backed Musk just wants to steal any actual scientific findings that Hans has made.

We're definitely not going to aim all the beams at Korea when the guide computer bluescreens and redirects the beams to the default axis coordinate 0x0 which has been centered on Seoul for arbitrary reasons

I would laugh

Tesla Energy Coil

nuclear energy is the future

This would make me so happy you have no idea

>son go stoke the reactor

>ok dad but just to give you the heads up theirs only a couple of niggers and Muslims left in the barn

...

> germany wont share tech secrets with non-germans
> is currently in the process of totally replacing the german people with arabs
What did he mean by this?

>Master Plan

why not?

>how does he plan on bringing all that cheap and clean energy back to earth? I

infinitely less energy and fuel required to launch from the moon 'down' to earth because of gravity.

could literal build oversized railguns on the moon to launch cannisters to land into predesignated areas of the oceans.

>german nuclear secrets
>can't even fit their reactor in the back of a truck

And these rail gun would never be used as a weapon, right?

>wont share it with anyone
>here mehmet have our nuclear fusion technology turkey best ally
>mehmet your always welcome to germany and EU
>mehmet NO what are you doing MEHMET CAREFUL WITH THAT FUSION REACTOR
>big explosions in europe, several cities leveled

whew based germans up to it again, maybe this time they can finally destroy europe sucessfully.

Having an extremely reliable and high energy source on the moon would jumpstart the colonization process 100x.

A fully functioning city would be built within a few decades

Space Elevator would be achievable by the half century mark or a bit after. definitely within the century.

After that it's all game. Asteroid farming, Mars, Alpha Centauri. All within another 200 years if modern western civilization doesn't deteriorate due to the degenerate culture we've cultivated.

>And these rail gun would never be used as a weapon, right?

only if the uppity earthsiders tried to screw the moonies out of a fair food:helium ratio

I'm working on it.

>amish code crackers make possible Fusion power for the US.

what timeline is this?

broadcast energy. microwaves.

moon has the best helium

>Wendelstein
>(((stein)))
NICE TRY NEO-KRAUT

This guy is really trying to profit off of the accomplishments of everyone who is successful.
We don't yet have fusionreactors that can burn He3. At the moment D+T fusion is the best chance we've got.

>Being pro-moonrace
Off yourself.

#FUSIONCOLLUSION

...

Germany will not share its plasma secrets.

fucking germans why don't they make more gen 4 nuclear power plants for their people???? germany has the highest electricity prices in europe.

kek

nein, forget it

Underrated

I'm betting on Lockheed Martin to win the fusion race

>not this shit again

>The secrets are in German, so your NSA is useless and Google translate is not good enough for complex technical descriptions.

you are hilariously dillusional for multiple reasons muhammed

~ to think the NSA only spies on americans LMAO

~ to think we can't translate your shit when wikileaks has literally leaked NSA software that can even re-write any software source code to to look like it was written in any spoken language they want

~google has services that can automatically isolate and translate live audio streams in crowds, let alone text

~also final kek at thinking germany is not an american vassal state. there is more american military based in germany than most other countries in the world. when you fucking google 'germany military bases' it brings up a list of AMERICAN military bases IN germany. we own you

~ vassalized germany is the mechanism america has been using since the end of WWII to crush and control europe to our will

~ u dont even know nothing lol

>Germany cannot and will not share it's fusion secrets

Hey kraut breath, better share them secrets or we gonna paperclip your scientists again.

Fuck this South African welfare nigger

lel

that would be marvelous

this was a failure i remember
Turns out it needed to be enormous

>I'm betting on Lockheed Martin to win the fusion race

nope, I'm not even interested in thinking about fusion.

so there's nothing for them to steal from me.

>D+T fusion
D + He3 is actually way better than D + T from all kinds of perspectives including energy output, radioactivity, smoothness of running the reactor etc. The difference between tritium and He3 is a neutron vs. a proton.

Lockheed Martin is already ahead in the fusion race.

Their "Compact Fusion" program, run by the Skunkworks (area 51) is within 5 years of being commercially released.

Their plan is to make a system small enough to be useful. How useful? The big plane in this image is the C5 Galaxy. The CF power plant will fit on this plane and will allow it to fly for a year on "a few bottles" of hydrogen.

>implying American assets aren't working on the project, fucking employees, and haven't bugged every computer and phone in the entire building

>Lockheed Martin is already ahead in the fusion race.
Wrong, they had to admit they were bullshitting and just didn't think their design through ... so it ended up at least 100 times larger. And that makes it unfeasible.

dailymail is legit source of info for top secret area 51 skunkworks mini fusion reactor news

Musk is banking on CV instead of lidar so maybe he's not that different from a standard venture capitalist.

But you need higher plasma densities for He3 fusion. We have problems getting to positive energy territory as it is.

>implying germany doesnt have a Giant Mirror up there

>We have problems getting to positive energy territory as it is.

that is what we want the Americans to think. No way we would shut down our nuclear fission plants and coal power plants without a backup plan!

That's dumb. The advantage of using He-3 for fuel in a fusion device is high output and low waste and byproducts, that's true... but we're still at the "get it fucking working" stage of development here, that's why everyone's trying to make heavy hydrogen, D-D and D-T fusion, work, because they're the lightest, lowest effort options to try and prove that sustainable fusion can work. You don't start processing high-end gasoline before you get the internal combustion engine working.

ITER is a clusterfuck and the odds of it yielding viable results for sustainable fusion grow slimmer every day. The budget is probably going to blow up to $40-50 billion before the first plasma, and the deadlines are stretching from months to years to decades as progress continually slips. And even worse, the fusion community is already seriously talking about what the bigger, bulkier, more expensive replacement for ITER will be like. You cannot make fusion sustainable if every fucking reactor costs 10, 20, 30 times what it costs to build a conventional uranium fission plant and takes 5-10 times as long to get it up and running.

ITER was a mistake and the fusion community needs to go back to basics and come up with ways to make smaller existing platforms like W7-X and DIII-D more effective at confinement. This entire attitude of bigger is better is crippling the fusion community and drawing billions away from other plasma science.

If only Elon Musk and Germany could collaborate on solving the non-white crisis.

>that is what we want the Americans to think. No way we would shut down our nuclear fission plants and coal power plants without a backup plan!
The person who approved that idiotic plan in the wake of the Fukushima incident is the same one who approved giving millions of refugees a permanent home in your country. There is no backup plan - you guys are already buying surplus fission power off of France and surplus coal power off your other neighbors.

>like in my chinese pictograms

Anytime anyone mentions Elon Musk's name as part of some sor tof "breakthrough," I know they are full of shit. The dude is just a hype man: the world's greatest hype man. All he wants is government dollars at Tax Victim expense.

> accidentally microwaves China

>Germany cannot and will not share its fusion secrets."
I bet Germany has hyperdrives and shit built in deep underground secret labs, ready to mass produce and deploy insane new weapons when needed.

Additionally, if the Germans have developed new scientific concepts we haven't then there's no translation possible anyway.

The rapefugees were the backup plan.

No way we have no backup plan for the refugees!

Unless Merkel was playing the long game and her backup plan was burning refugees as a source of power, then she just sold you out.

You know, the last time you even kidnapped German scientists and you would still be unable to make something work.

Kraut space magic only work if a Kraut is doing it.

>tfw you have to stuff yourself into a tin can to warn earth before you die because your whole life has been a lie
(you only think you've been in your mom's basement for 3 years)

don't forget, US scrapped not only all their funding for molten salt reactors, but also destroyed most of their researche materials that would've allowed them to pick up where they quit.
it's like someone was not happy what they discovered

>Germany cannot and will not share its fusion secrets.
We gonna have to paperclip you fucks again?

The crossections are pretty well measured. You'd need either higher energy or higher density to make He3 fusion viable.
It's of course what we should try to accomplish: a fusion reactor that can even burn pure hydrogen but for now we have to be content with Tritium from Lithium6.

>No way we would shut down our nuclear fission plants and coal power plants without a backup plan!
We already pay huge prices for our energy. Germans are just dumb. Just read the newspaper. At the moment everyone spergs out because some tiny NOX amounts from car exhausts. A total fluke. There is nothing to worry about NOX in the concentration that we currently have.

It just happen that atmosphere is not homogeneous (no homo) and that electromagnetic waves does not goes in straight line in it.

>moon-based doomsday weapons
>controlled by a southafrican nigger-hater (probably)
>africa burnt to a crisp by 2050 with sky beams much alike God's punishment for being shit
my dick. It hurts.

Can't risk the petrodollar's supremacy, even if it's for the sake of mankind's future.

Space 1999 predicted this.

REMINDER FUSION IS NOT SELF SUSTAINING EVEN IN THE SUN, THE SUN IS LITERALLY POWERED BY ZPE

>Germany cannot and will not share its fusion secrets
Your country is literally under military occupation by 56% untermensch

>Planet dry its oil reserves
>No more petrodolar
>New petrol is ITER
If you want you energydollar to be in the future, you know what you have to do.

No they didn't - they just stopped working on MSRs because the conventional reactors developed at the time were seen as good enough - uranium was plentiful and times were good. It's only post-meltdown and with the looming scarcity of uranium that we've started taking another look at MSRs, and there are still some major issues to overcome.

The Oakridge experiments demonstrated that Thorium-fuel cycles and MSRs were viable concepts, but never successfully combined everything into a single package to demonstrate whether the in-situ aspect of the LFTR concept (transmuting Thorium into U-233 in the device itself rather than in an external device).

There's oil enough for centuries of consumption, and only when it's about to run out and the global Jew capital has been moved to a nation with sorta-monopoly on the-next-big-thing will the world move on to it.

Not Northern Germany or Eastern Germany as evidenced from the map. The Wendelstein 7-X is located in the outmost North-East.

Deuterium? There's plenty here.

Most of them are just hospitals now. Very few are actually military forces.
The one in G-P for example is just a NATO conference room, nothing more.

The refraction is tiny and even if, so what? The spectrum would be very narrow, no spread would occur.

Germans will be a minority in their own country within a generation.

keep em comin fusionposter x

He plans to bring back the helium 3 mined on the Moon and to use it on power plants in Germany.
