Stop shitposting with my favourite series, you double nigger.
>series ended
There you go.
Pointing out perfection isn't shitposting.
Its boring. There's nothing making me watch the next episode. Just relaxing, episodic adventures and a lot of people (including myself) dont like that. A series without a way to hook people in is in my opinion, flawed
It'll never end in my heart
But you have to admit that what it sets out to do, it does brilliantly. Sure if you're not into that stuff it'll bore you, but if you are, there's pretty much nothing to complain about
Same thing every single episode?
Ginko probably still virgin
Don't kid me man you know he's had some trippy mushi-fueled sex adventures with qt female mushishi
Using a OP in English when the theme of the show is about Japanese folklore
b-baka
It didn't save its studio from dying.
>no pantsu shot
into the trash it goes, amirite user?

Boring. If I wanted 20 minutes of forest and weird bugs, I'd go outside and take a walk.
Some episodes aren't as great as others
It wasn't bad though.

no minority representation
Its episodic format and reputation as high kino can make a lot of people confused as to what the big deal is. Upon first viewing I concluded it wasn't really for me. Only to somehow be drawn back into it a month later, and I realized I was focusing on all the wrong things. To this day we see people saying that they can't get invested in Ginko, that he's a Marty Stu, and that the solutions to the Mushi diseases aren't properly explained or built up. None of these points are presented to troll, people legitimately go into the show with the wrong outlook and many leave with the wrong outlook. It's completely fair to call these people plebs, they are. However it is perhaps a failing of the show itself that it can't win them over.
It's more just food for thought. I can't possibly think of a way the show could be clearer with what it sets out to do. Portraying ordinary people coping with extraordinary circumstances. The only way it could make it easier to understand is by dumbing itself down to the levels of other anime. Now, I wouldn't be on Sup Forums if I didn't love me some anime, but it does tend to have an instant-gratification element to its storytelling. Anime tends to wear its heart on its sleeve, making sure none of its themes or characterizations are lost on the audience. I don't think a lot of the plebs who didn't like Mushishi are outright stupid, but they have been conditioned with certain expectations from their anime. If I had to put it into an analogy, most anime is porn while anime like Mushishi is sex. Porn makes me feel good but I can't let it effect my views on sex in an unhealthy way.
For some reason I can imagine Tanyuu being fun in bed.
The awful, uninspired directing throughout Zoku Shou's first cour which consisted of 90% close up face shots in front of gradient backgrounds.
Thankfully the writing carried the show.
I can't, it's literally perfect.
It's probably because she has a deep connection with life so she probably wouldn't be prudish about much
>good series ends
>hurrrr why can't it keep going
>good series keeps going and turns into literal shit
>hurrr it should've just ended while it was still good
there's no satisfying you people
>no minority representation
???????????????????
Male.
And the fact she's bored and stuck most of the time, she'd probably let loose.
>A series without a way to hook people in is in my opinion, flawed
That's what fucking commercials and reading the synopsis is for.
No one's forcing you to watch the show but yourself, the show doesn't need to dedicate a few minutes of its time to "hook you in"
The only thing they establish is the setting, what the mushi are, what the fuck the mushi-of-the-week is doing to fuck people up, and Ginko. If at that point you don't feel like watching a short story per episode then don't fucking watch, simple as that.
The animation and production is well done but in the end I just got bored of watching a bug collecting hobo.
It was pretty damn boring, I kept almost falling asleep in every episode after the first two (when the premise had been established).
He doesn't bang the mushi-leg girl, not while the series went on anyhow.
The series covered everything. He should have banged the ear Mushi kid's older sister.
I know the series covered the manga in total. But the adventures of ginko presumably continue after the events of the manga.
the solutions were weak though, no sweeping that under the rug
The OPs are great though
Mononoke was better
its bait
A cute.
It does perfectly what it sets out to do, so I can't
Not enough best boy.
Manga format suited the stories and art style much better than anime.
>smoking
he only puffs nigga
It's acts as a mushi repellent bro

Many complain about the lack of a red thread.
To me, it's part of what makes the series so strong. It doesn't have to push toward some epic conclusion or ramp up the stakes. Each episode is free to build tension and give time to new characters as it pleases.
Mushishi
>Mushishi
Erp, posted by mistake.
The episodic nature gives viewers a broader insight into the world and the everyday life of people living alongside mushi. I enjoy it immensely.
Many of the episodes feel similar in structure though.
mushishi? more like mushit
He got us boys
Faggot
...
Mushishi is my favorite anime. That being said, a flaw is that it's a bit like a moving manga, and sometimes stops giving us gorgeous backgrounds in favor of plain white backgrounds for "emphasis". This flaw is amplified in the Zoku Shous.
The massive plot hole in the very first episode.

As much as it might not have made since I would have loved a crossover with Kino
dialogue sucks pretty hard. thank fuck the stories are good
;_;
I agree.
Probably the series that got me into anime. Though I had watched Cowboy Bebop years before, that was a one off thing. After Mushishi I started looking for new stuff to watch.
