Stable career advice for today's economy

Which career field is more redpilled, a skilled trade like welding, or a STEM field like IT/chemistry?

STEM is for Wymin and negroes.
If you're white and male, Just get an engineering degree

What do you think the E in STEM stands for?

Cuckshed designer

Senpai engineers probably couldn’t do the T or M components.

Welding or Engineering. Engineering can get you what job you want, even the finance jews love them.

IMO always have a second source of income. Nothing is "stable" anymore.

That's what I'm afraid of. You can make 2-3x more being in IT, even just being like a Network Engineer II than welding. But will there ever NOT be a demand for welders? IT and CS guys can get replaced by H1-b visa pahjeets, but you can't replace mechanics, fabricators, welders.

Can't go wrong with a trade but if you think you have the aptitude for engineering look up which kinds of fields are short of qualified people

Strictly speaking, no jobs are safe from AI.
But yes, Engineering and Manufacturing are your best bets. Learn how to do things yourself as much as possible. Learn to farm. Learn to shoot.

transport and logistics and wharehouse management for ez jobs, also any trades but prepare for it to suck for a while.

Just dont get a job you can forsee a machine doing in the next 20 years like truck driving or acounting

>Just dont get a job you can forsee a machine doing in the next 20 years
I have bad news for you.

If you're into that, you can EASILY become a flight attendant if youre not a sperg or a druggie.

They just hire any males to push for gender equity.

If the effects of AI are as dramatic as people fear, they're going to have to make sure the population is disarmed and feminized long beforehand, otherwise there are going to be uprisings when no one can work.

I'd sooner churn out Luty's.

You can work for walmart. Its not going to kill you and I can show you the ropes as I've been working there for 14 years.

Just get a ph.D. in sociology and try to out-Jew the Jew from the inside while making six figures a year

Personally going with biomedical engineering, with the power of prosthetics and programming , I will build my self a 3d waifu

>PhD is sociology
>6 figure salary
Never heard of that happening.

>Can't replace mechanics, fabricators
>What is offshoring

You have to pick something that virtually every community needs/wants and which can't be outsourced.

Basic IT stuff is what I can do, but I've yet to find a way to turn it into a job.

They don't build your infrastructure in China then ship it across the world. Someone has to put the buildings together in-country.

Nobody is going to offshore work when most welding is done on-site, or wait for custom parts to be shipped overnight when it can be made locally

Welding is a meme dude, really bad for your health but specialized metal working is/will always be in demand.

t. sheet metal worker (specialized in one off fabrication)

God tier: NEETdom

Patrician tier: astrology/healing/psychology/etc bullshit scamming

Master tier: porn producer/pimp/drugdealer (senior)

OK tier: trades/business + money laundry/housewives fucking

Decent tier: trades alone

Slave tier: """professional""" degrees, both STEM and not (ie: law/economy)

Owning your own business is the one and only true red pill.

The only stable career in the foreseeable future is government bureaucrat.

Did you do tech college, or just apprentice?

In either field you STILL HAVE TO WORK. People always think you get a degree or certificate and you are set for easy comfy. Not true in any field.

If you want to earn money you'll have to work for it.

>mechanics
>offshore

Yeah I need a new clutch, let me go to China real quick.

Welding for sure.

Depends what kind of welding you do. If you weld structural steel, pipes and the like, you can earn MAD BANK.

It's interesting concept - considering the Western economy is pretty much based on debt, if people can't afford basics like food, water, shelter then the rich are fucked.

Nuclear Engineering

apprental unit right out of high school in 2002. took 6 years to complete (fell off a building and other reasons for taking 6...not 4). Union Apprental unit programs are generally superior but you have to play the (((game))). I only work 6 months a year these days and have 2 vested pensions and a 401k. Just don't be a nigger and start a rIRA and trading account and you will have a positive net worth even with a mortgage jew by the time you are doing it for 10 years.

A trade that you can turn into a profitable small business is pretty sweet.

A STEM degree that you can use to start your own firm is fine too.

Yeah being a production manager 9-5, play on your phone, chat with some workers take some notes and collect 2k for your week or break up your back and finger joints lugging bricks and cement around 8-5 and collect 400. Really need to work hard for your money with a degree.

Reminder to young people, if you cannot find an employer willing to hire you, try going into business for yourself. A lot of posts on Sup Forums lament not being able to "find a job" and even if they get hired, they are subject to feminist HR policies. Don't get locked into thinking that you need to work for someone else and drop out of society.

You can avoid all of that if you are self employed. If you are learning a skill, it is very beneficial if you have the ability to work for yourself using that skill right away.

agree but i choose not to get into that because of the long term health risks...i fucked up and became a good SS and Alum guy. Fuck up anyway. lol

What are the long term health risks?

Look up the average life span of metal workers. Yeah we are a bunch of drunks so that doesn't help but a lot of heavy metal poisoning and lymphnode cancers and shit. Bad eye sight, chronic lung problems, etc.

If you only want stability, nursing or med school. The demand will only go up

Jesus Christ how has it not broken you? I cant stand 14 minutes in the place let alone 14 years

This is true....bought an AMD-65 kit in 2003 before the ban lift ...tig welded all the parts onto a shitty maadi receiver....5000 rds. later still ticking.

Kinda of like mechanics too, I've met plenty whose hands are fucked by the different chemicals they're constantly working with

Yes, Aussie-bro. after my tumble off the side of building when i was 19 i had arthritis in my hands before 30. I am very careful with the acids and anti-spatters we use.

There are already robots that can weld much better than humans

>There are already robots that can weld
Yeah, and one day AI will fuck and reproduce for us too, but we have to work in the meantime.

You make good money welding but it will take a toll on your health. Lungs & eyes. Not a stable career.

Honestly, go for an electrician. You can parlay it into so many things like real estate flipping. You can be a firefighter as well. If I had a chance to do it all again I'd probably go for electrician.

I just applied for a dispatch job though, I used to be a firefighter but I liked the radio work alot better. Answering 911 calls, lots of downtime, manage the resources, honorable service career, union. Can't go wrong.

My trade has been reduced to booger eaters pushing buttons but the autists like me have to decline work. You must specialize to survive.

I went for manufacture as i dont find interest in engineering, too strict for me. I guess one thing AI still can't do and wont in the near future is make products look good.

The trick to trades is specialization and building a reputation. Welding is shit pay, but if you have good rep or do pressure/underwater welding you can easily make a ton of cash.
