What makes incest so damn good?

What makes incest so damn good?

Go back to Sup Forums you piece of shit.

It isn't, you fucking faggot

Angsty, intimate, passionate adolescent romance. When you're boning your imouto the social circumstances necessitate a seriousness (>edginess) and exclusivity about the relationship that is hard to duplicate with other circumstances or fetishes. "Serious" because the relationship has dire consequences (>mom's gonna freak) and is required to be kept entirely secret. "Exclusive" because ""you're"" the only man suitable for the role, and ""your"" imouto is the only woman, likewise. Everybody wants a relationship like that; everybody wants to be a youth with a beautiful girl, is first and only, who is his whole world.

>Everybody wants a relationship like that; everybody wants to be a youth with a beautiful girl, *his first and only, who is his whole world.
Well, I shouldn't say "everybody." Maybe that's not true. But this kind of romance (angst) is absolutely my cup of tea.

>who is his whole world
Is "whom" actually correct in this sentence?

Posting pic related for an example of a similar type of angst that is not an imouto. "Older woman" and to a lesser extent mother are two fetishes that can carry similar (but not identical) emotional connotations. Ryoko being a demon, for example, has a similar effect.

Moral/normalfags tears.

Pretty much and also there's a taboo surrounding incest so it's sort of like a "forbidden love"

Posting another example of a distinct but similar archetype and context. I.e. 'she's a ghost.' However, both these examples are notably different in respect to the female generally being the dominant one in the relationship. This absence of the dominant male role was, in both cases, required to be remediated by having the female be extremely clingy and needy on the otherwise bland noodle male.

>defending this shit fetish

>sort of like a "forbidden love"
>sort of

I made an effort to avoid using the phrase "forbidden love," because it's become cliche in both western and east Asian culture. It's been around for hundreds of years at this point. Classic examples like Romeo and Juliet, or (to a lesser extent) 'the princess and the pauper,' just doesn't cut it anymore now that the class structure of our society has been largely obscured behind disingenuous plutocratic capitalist idols of social equality. It's not taboo anymore to cross class lines in society (not unless you're part of the super, super rich class, anyway. Maybe they still get a kick out of 'the princess and the pauper'). It's actually now far more taboo to condone such ideas of class distinction, as it's something that is now intended to remain out of sight in culture.

It's in 2d, all fetishes look good in it

And since it's 2d it isn't real, so it's not a big deal.

I don't see the need to jump to that argument defensively when the usual provocation is completely absent in the post you're replying to.

I want Born Again Betty to save me from hell!

>This absence of the dominant male role was, in both cases, required to be remediated by having the female be extremely clingy and needy on the otherwise bland noodle male.
The same dynamic came up in Rah Xephon, now that I think about it. And when it did, it felt very awkward and forced. This is an example of why imouto has so much more appeal than cake: it lends itself to your being able to self insert into the relationship as a more independent, more emotionally competent male.

And while I'm on the subject, I have to say that Ryoko's character portrayal (from an older, dominant, sexually assertive female to a blushing, clingy waifu) also felt awkward. In my opinion, Ryoko was best as a character, and most memorable, at the beginning of the series, before she was 'emotionally nerfed' to the extent that she was for typical waifu self inserty. And I strongly suspect this opinion about her character holds true for most of the relatively large demographic of young men who watched Tenshi Muyo on television back in the day, and were so influenced by her archetype.

that feeling that they are the only 2 people in the world

yep. its kind of like being that cool guy in school who is dying from cancer (before the symptoms set in) so he does cool shit for the whole class because he has no future and chooses to burn bight while he still can

What? also she is a zombie topped "she is ghost"

or in other words its like the rich girl doing the stable boy
yep its the omission rule, you just remove everything disgusting about it/ don't accent it, that way even corpses look hot (that is what vampire romance is all about)

lol cancer isnt' romantic. Make it some kind of edgy curse. But even that I don't like too much, because the plot development is extremely predictable from the get go, and the story is required to be purely held up from creative and cute writing in isolated circumstances and character scenes.

>or in other words its like the rich girl doing the stable boy
Yes this is what I meant by 'the princess and the pauper.'

Was it incest?

>cancer
Im sorry, I meant "unspecified sickness with symptoms of coughing and onset of dizziness when plot needs it for maximum drama"
>plot development is extremely predictable
How so? it usually is but it does not have to be, he is dying so he can do anything. usually it goes the same way as great teacher onizuka but there is no limit set by the setting.

I wish I had a cute imouto to impregnate with my steamy seed.

It was hygiene

Josei might be the only "genre" actually still portraying class difference seriously from time to time, even if it's just an obstacle on the road to true love (TM) I'm now realizing that harsh social criticism is slipping through the cracks in that
You gave me a good idea for a couple of rereads user

Even if I support incest, I wanted Akira to be happy with him.

Is this a prequel to lady innocence?

>Im sorry, I meant "unspecified sickness with symptoms of coughing and onset of dizziness when plot needs it for maximum drama"
lols

When you start the story from page one with "this guy's going to die," it sets a limited frame for what you can do with the character, at least in a romantic context. It's hard to surprise or interest the viewer when they know the tragic ending right away, and that in itself detracts from the tragedy as well. One thing I actually liked about the changes from the manga to the anime of dusk maiden was their having her come back after 'dying'. Her being a ghost, from the start, implied the manga's ending. I was no the least bit surprised to see that come about in the plot. But I absolutely did not see the alternative ending coming. Caught me completely from the left. But, then again, that plot device can very easily become cliche as well.

>I'm now realizing that harsh social criticism is slipping through the cracks in that
What do you mean?

That's a very good way to put it. Lol, it's so juvenile. Romance is juvenile.

I'm a big proponent for incest in anime.

...

The seriousness is incidental. Remove the taboo factor, remove the angst, remove the seriousness, and it's still as appealing, at least to me. One thing you can't remove is intimacy that is already present even before you actually start boning your sister. Because it starts off intimate, the fucking itself seems like a logical continuation, a harmonic and consonant conclusion to this dynamic, and it's prevented only by superficial, outside considerations like the social consequences or the innate irrational repulsion to the idea of having sex with your sister, which some insist exists. The exclusivity is right on the money, but there's more to it - the perfect compatibility that is implied by the closely similar genetic makeup is as important if not more..

>ywn have a mother and daughter compete to earn your sexual loving

Mother and sister I meant, but daughter is fine too.

>It's hard to surprise or interest the viewer when they know the tragic ending right away
some people love it because of the tragic ending. how many yaoi stories do you think I watched just for that moment when 1 of them runs into the rain and gets hit by the bus?
>at least in a romantic context
It does not have to be a romantic context. like I said he is the cool guy, aniki to all the little faggots in school. He does not fall in love, he gives love advice and is the support for 2 side characters who are the romantic aspect of the story. Its also a good story if you want to do a story about self sacrifice, you can make your character do things that would usually be viewed as dumb but reader will go along with due to the setting.
>their having her come back after 'dying
That was dumb. it felt like "ha ha just kidding, read the manga faggot". There was 0 need to bring up that subplot of her dying, the whole show could have passed by without it. it is already a cliche, numerous stories end with "hero sacrificed themselves but not really, here they are in the final shot going towards the main cast" there is even a subset of "He died, not really, yes really the finally shot was an illusion or symbolism"
>implied the manga's ending
How many stories have you seen with ghosts starting new lives in some comatose body. being made solid by spiritual power or any other number of paths where one can avoid such implied ending?

Korean manga are still going strong in that aspect
>not blood
dropped, may as well be banging the childhood friend

depends on the dynamic of the characters.
>irrational repulsion
There is such a thing as "knowing someone too well". Its one of the reasons some people don't hook up despite not being related by blood or law.

Well put and on point.

>at least to me
I suspect your opinion on the issue has become politicized as a result of the typical resistance against it. That is to say, really? Are you sure about that? If you take all the angst out of the story- which would be a tall order from the first place given the taboo. But, theoretically, if you subtract all the angst, you're left with a much calmer, more mature romance. Essentially, nothing different from a story about a boy falling in love(tm) with his childhood friend. Can you really say that such a story, the childhood friend archetype, has an equal appeal to you as imouto? I would even go so far as to argue that, because of our being a part of these societies, being raised here, our interpretation of the imouto genre is it is inherently angsty. Are you sure you haven't denied that to yourself in response to the hostility about the subject?

this. basically set a story in a blue lagoon type situation just with more people and watch your dick go limp (not accounting from regular arousal form sexual situations of bunch of people on an island )

As in keeping their bloodline clean? Poetry, as expected of Nisio!

like any true art, it works on multiple levels

>It does not have to be a romantic context
Oh, okay. In that case we're just on two different pages. You're thinking outside the box, here. I am 100% only interested in angsty, juvenile romance. It's honestly a crippling obsession of mine. >Yaoi
>He does not fall in love, he gives love advice and is the support for 2 side characters who are the romantic aspect of the story. Its also a good story if you want to do a story about self sacrifice, you can make your character do things that would usually be viewed as dumb but reader will go along with due to the setting.
Sounds like it could be a solid story.

>it is already a cliche
I can easily see that happening for obvious reasons, but at least to me right now it was fresh enough to not feel hakcy.

>numerous stories end with "hero sacrificed themselves but not really, here they are in the final shot going towards the main cast" there is even a subset of "He died, not really, yes really the finally shot was an illusion or symbolism"
I probably drop those anime before seeing the end. I need alot to stay interested, or I need angsty romance.

>>implied the manga's ending
>How many stories have you seen with ghosts starting new lives in some comatose body
I don't know. I just saw it coming from very early in the story.

Although the writing in Dusk Maiden was often fairly weak, another thing I liked in both installments was how the tone was switched between tragedy and (quality / actually cute) romcom. I would have liked for the tragic themes to have been handled more subtly throughout the first 3/4ths of the plot, with more tonal ambiguity. Then maybe I would have been more surprised during the final events of the plot. That's a slower story, and much less marketable, though.

A distinction I didn't address was the aspect of genetic similarity. From an emotional point of view, I personally just can't see that having any significance without the angst. That is to say, barring the angst, it doesn't add anything to the emotion of the story that couldn't be easily replicated with the childhood friend archetype. For example:

>They have extremely similar genetics, grew up together, and well suited for each other
vs
>They have extremely similar personalities, grew up together, and are well suited for each other

The only thing that makes these two concept frames so different is all the angst stuff related to the social taboo. Otherwise, they're emotionally identical contexts.

And, for further reference, politically speaking I personally am an avid racialist, and will be for the rest of my life. But I'm looking at this from the perspective of purely the romantic and emotional qualities, not the political ones.

I was alluding to the oft invoked memestermark effect.

I can't outright deny it of course, although I never met any resistance against it, and in fact I think people are becoming more and more accepting of it, seeing how the west is becoming more and more liberal, how incest is displayed and romanticized on HBO, that shining reflection of our cultural zeitgeist, and how the slippery slope is real and will inevitably see us to the very bottom. One thing I can say in my defense and that is if your suspicions were true, I would probably also deny the importance of taboo in yuri, but in reality I can only enjoy it if there is some sort of societal pressure palpably present in the story, so there's that.

On a related note, there is a notion that unites lesbos (and admittedly fags, but who cares about them, they're gay) and incest, and that is the idea of refined love without any practical purpose in procreation, even as a (reasonable) possibility. That is, the kind of love that is by design undiluted by any considerations beyond the selfish desires of two individuals. I'm not sure it's something the majority of people articulate as they jerk off to incest doujins, but I've been keeping that in mind ever since I realized it.

>I think people are becoming more and more accepting of it, seeing how the west is becoming more and more liberal, how incest is displayed and romanticized on (((HBO)))
Great. It's going to be completely fucking ruined now.

>On a related note, there is a notion that unites lesbos (and admittedly fags, but who cares about them, they're gay) and incest
Lol, 3d incestfags are going to be ugly freaks walking arm in arm with faggots at "pride" parades. What have we done

Yeah, it's hard to defend this, because whatever I come up with you can easily and rightfully dismiss as a proxy for angst and taboo. When they have similar genetics they also look alike, which I think is important. When they have similar genetics they relinquish their ability to procreate. When they're blood-related there is a bond they share that is objective and quantifiable in terms of genetic distance, and they cannot deny it, or forget it, or change their mind and make it disappear.

Then again, as you said, it's not like I can possibly analyze it outside of my frame of reference, which of course includes the taboo well ingrained through years of passive conditioning.

>I never met any resistance against it
>if your suspicions were true, I would probably also deny the importance of taboo in yuri
Yuri threads typically aren't frequented with normalfags flipping out about it and personally attacking other anons

Ever since they legalized gay marriage, the salty commentators have been constantly bringing up this idea that you can take any widely used defense for homosexuality and replace every instance of "faggot" with "my little sister", and it would be just as convincing and valid.

It's two consenting adults after all. What do you care what they do in bed. If they love each other why can't they get married?

Incest is shit.

It's true though. If you can fuck with your same sex partner, why can't you fuck with your sibling?

>When they have similar genetics they also look alike, which I think is important.
Indeed. I'd accept that as a contradiction to my argument. It's interesting how many nuances there are to this archetype. Just to bring up another idea, yuri incest could be portrayed in a similar light, although even more so. Literal identical twins.

You can do that with anything. Any society, any culture. A good term for it is "cultural marxism." This is the essential difference between what incest is in Japanese culture, vs what it would be in western culture. Japan isn't infected with cultural marxism.

Taking that one step further, there is the idea of literally being in love with oneself. Although that's hard to portray romantically, and is getting too abstract. So, dialing it a little back, you could do "clones." Yuri clone romance.

Btw to whatever gooks are reading this: I want a cut of whatever garbage LN you write from this idea

Oh yes they are. You can also try "yuri" threads on Sup Forums for the ultimate experience.

even as a fetish the sexual tension is the main draw for me, they know that society doesn't approve that kind of relationships, that they are "wrong" and they are horrible people for having suchs feelings, but still go for it anyway, it's one the ultimate fuck you's to society, their very first true kiss is the best moment for me, if I wanted raw sex I could watch other kinds of porn, but incest is the only one were the I enjoy the build up, sometimes even more that the sex scenes

>purest form of love
>shit

>even as a fetish the sexual tension is the main draw for me
That's the definition of a fetish

Going out and seeking conflict isn't the same as being targeted here

...

Honestly makes me wonder how fucked up was she before becoming a born again christian.

Don't post that shit on here. Use your god damned anime reaction folder

force me

>yuri
Why? When you can clone yourself of the opposite gender and it would be even closer than twincest.

>closer
Depends on what you mean by that

You'd be more closely "related" to your opposite gendered clone than a twin sister/brother, wouldn't you?

I don't care about incest, but Sora can make any kind of vanilla relationship hot.

You'd be more "closely" related to a same-gendered clone than an opposite gendered clone, is the premise here.

did they really die?

There is a sequel that was never adapted.

united by blood

I'm not a faggot though.

>yuri

>death penalty
what? can the goverment simply go and kill you if you fuck your sister?

...

This show was underrated.

...

...

Cute families doing cute lewd things together, thats what.

no but they can arrest you i'm pretty sure

Having your mother sexually attracted to you while her also being your sister is apparently a mainstream fetish

Family wont ever betray you.

Choose your imouto, she will stay with you forever. They wont likely to change
the way they love you.

When the world becomes flat everyone is connected and social become bland, you just want someone who is private about you share something special with only you.

Breeding and have descendent is no longer necessarily only love matters and who can I love more than my family? These feelings they are kind of like that

...

>not impregnating your imouto

Its cute

Sakamoto :_:

>we are NBR btw haha
Fuck this trope.

...

Do you have any idea how great it feels to have someone who isn't related to you call you onii-chan?

...

NBR "imoutos" are fine, as long as you know that's the case from the start.
