What are your opinions on the series so far?
I've been enjoying the facade of simple characters that overlay a deeper story.
What's your take on it? I think the Anime is clever, for as much of it I've seen, though I wish that it progressed quicker, though I guess it creates more suspense.

I like the Main character. He isn't a clueless chick magnet, but he has a stoic personality.
Ayanoji is just there, as opposed to having every girl flocking to him.
His personality is consistent and the writers don't try hard to make him look cool. He doesn't have a cliche as far as I've seen; in which I hope it stays that way.

Nah, I think thats what makes it great. If it had more romance in it I'd feel like it would cloud up the "Deep story" behind the characters, it might take up more room in my opinion as opposed to more proficient story telling and character development.
Then again; you can story build with romance, but in my opinion, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

The show has this tertiary thing about Romance. The show is a lot more complicated then from a stand point. I'm not saying it's shakespeare tier, but there's some details and characters that you need to think about.
There are scenes which make you question certain character's pasts.
It isn't just another "Harem and clueless protag" anime. The show was originally a light novel and it has some critical thinking involved. I highly recommend you continue the series as the Ayanokōji isn't just a cliche.
Sure he has a mysterious past and somewhat quiet attitude, but the romance that does occur is more of a red rabbit to sneak up on the viewer.
In my eyes, as some one whos seen a lot of cliche anime; this one here shows some potential for some very interesting twists.

It's difficult to explain; for myself. Though there are moments in the show where you'd make an assumption of a cliche; but no it gets you. I can't pull any specific examples but if you'd like to watch the show you're free to.

Fate doesn't need low-brow fanservice and harem in place of plot and storytelling and entertainting action. Youkoso is generic guilty pleasure. It's fine to enjoy it, but don't treat it like it's actually good.

What's so nice about her is that her feelings towards him are so genuie, with no stupid in between conditions or twists.
