Pretty much the whole Internet hates me, but I fucking love Sonic, including the 3D games. Rationality doesn't come into it, I played through them all the time when I was a kid, so my emotional reactions to them is deeply ingrained. Crush 40 songs get me unironically hype as fuck, especially the boss battle themes. My brain knows it's all cheesy and bad, but my heart just doesn't.
I had a Pavlovian reaction to the KL ending, I started crying even though I don't give a fuck about Senketsu or whatever because I cry every time Shadow falls from orbit.
