I feel like the officer who "failed" to enter the school and stop the shooting is being used as a scapegoat for a larger cover up. There were reports of multiple shooters. If he heard what he thought to be multiple shooters, then he'd recognise that if he did enter the school, it'd likely be the end for him, and he wouldn't be able to save anyone.
I mean if he heard multiple shooters he wouldn't know how many there are, so for all he knew, if he entered the school and took any number of them out, and attempted to remove some of the kids from the classrooms and extract them from the school, that he could very well run into another shooter and end up with the kids being gunned down alongside him.

I went to school with a few libyans back in the days and I was amazed by how they were allowed to study abroad (USA) and have their education, lodging, rent, clothing, food, books and tuition fully paid under Gadaffi. These cats were very kind and always had positive things to say about their country, the way things were progressing and was blown away when I found out that all married couples in Libya would receive a free house and furnishings to get stared in life and create a family. I found that interesting as free housing and furnishings/appliances would create the ideal situation for any married couple to establish and start a family. If you not only have every set for you and you have an all expenses paid education in the discipline of your choosing in any country that offered your program...WOW...WTF...of course, this free education/boarding/food/clothing/books deal was only if your degree was not offered in Libya...they would still give you a free ride in Libya...but how fucking exciting to be able to travel to another country and come back with an ivy league degree...fully paid.

I'm not one for the state myself, nor am I one for socialism, but I think if there is a general agreement that something like that is in the best interests of the people and it's not FORCED on people via taxation then it's ok. Like that's my main issue with socialism over here in the west, the fact that it's forced on you with the threat of violence. But yeah all of that sounds very national-socialist desu. Which I find kinda interesting. I've often wondered if a form of national-socialism, perhaps with a non-statist twist is the answer all nations need. Only if it began from the bottom up though and wasn't pushed by an already present establishment. Government is corrupt as fuck, the CIA lets the drugs flow out and the guns come in. If you stay away from the major cities, Brazil is not that bad at all. I live in a very small region, so I don' have problems...I would not visit this country as a foreigner unless I had insider knowledge however cause you could get killed. It was way worst until 5 years ago when the federal police finally decided to crack down on child prostitution...you could literally be sitting in a mall a few years ago and some creep would show up with a with pictures of underage kids.
