SPT

More Eila x Sanya

Hollywood live action movie.

SW S3. For the love of Fumikane god.

Noble bitches anime seems most likely.

finally kill it and make all witches use pants or jeans.

Heresy.

Die.

isn't Brave Witches season 3?

>jeans
As a denim fetishist I actually endorse this.

Just finished the OVA. Man, I missed that shameless, in-your-face fanservice.

Yeah, that's where BW really failed. That and shitty CGI action.

This.

I like the way you think.

This episode was so stupid. I hope they'll never do it again.

>What are you expecting Sup Forums?
Eila to marry me.

I just want a comprehensive history lesson of the setting. Even if it has been explored before, it probably is scattered, hard for reach and might contradict itself.

...

Holy hell, thanks for this user.

>all those wars
I-I thought mankind was friends and they only fought against the Neuroi.

More fapping.

Pants

wow
its already been ten years since i didnt even bother with this

10 years of living your life incorrectly.

Ten years and you still haven't managed to get that shit taste under control?

such insecurity for absolute patricians

I'm very secure in my love for witches, thank you very much.

Everybody loves Perrine's new tricks!

Thanks for this. Though I would also like to know just what happened where after the Neuroi did appear (and did they really appear just then, or were there any former appearances of them). It is hard to have a fact check when it is hard to say what is canon anymore in terms of pre-anime stuff.

I know exactly what I want.

headpats

Yeah, she needs to appear more.

Elma and the Suomus Squadron

Big crossover between the witch squads created so far, including stuff like the tank witches as well

S3 in pachinko form.

The previous thread from 10 hours ago which you created should tell enough. You really like guessworking, huh.
There was a big 10 year anniversary project thread also during its announcement in case you were actually curious to know desuarchive.org/a/thread/161341826/#161341826
We'll know next year.

Pantaloni Rossi
please

The Neuroi simply robbed the humanity's pleasure to fight each other.

I don't expect anything. If they make anime then I'll enjoy it whatever it is.

literally the best episode of the series

I wouldn't mind seeing the 504th or 506th. They seem to be some of the most fun.

I hope they switch back to the old CGI studio.

I guess I'll just repeat what I said from last night. I expect them to do a Brave Witches S2 because sequels make most money in general, Noble Witches anime because their novels sold hotcakes and are a popular squad in the Japanese fandom or a entirely new SW related anime, and that's it regarding the 10th anniversary project for ''realistic'' expectations. But for all we know, it might be a new pachinko or a music festival.

As this user said well expectations are dumb anyways, things happen when they're to happen and just hope it's a good product by then.
And seeing what BW was, I really don't expect anything anymore, I just wish more manga serializations to happen since they're pretty good in general.
Just a friendly reminder about the /c/ threads for anyone who likes to discuss witches and or have questions about the franchise anytime

Which series was canned because it was too lewd?
I'd love to see it animated as an OVA in the least.

i'm not sure which episode of Brave Witches/Strike Witches, but they talked about them showing up numerous times before in history in various forms and how witches always helped defeat them

>tanks witches
that sounds coll as fuck. where can i learn about them?

At the same time, the Brave Witches anime was not as successful as expected.

>504
This

soft porn

BW failed at a lot more than just that.

I'm surprised it sold as much as it did with horrendous QUALITY it had and almost 0 fanservice.

The reunion of THEM

Shitty Japanese MC is nothing new and writing in S2 wasn't much better.

BW failed at making everything feel alive, at making the characters sympathetic, making you feel like you care about them.
SW did it right, they had all these small seemingly insignificant scenes and just details that defined the characters so well, be it Yoshika's eyes following Lynne's boobs in a random conversation, be it Erica and Trude's room with the border between clean and messy, there was so much that just happend along with the plot and the usual battles that made everything feel alive.
BW lacked most of that, and so everyone apart from the main three remained bland empty hulls that occassionally appeared. Aleksandra had her own episode and it completely failed at deepening her character.

No series was ever canned for being lewd as far I remember. The first novels had explicit yuri sex and One-Winged Witched had implied butt fingering, Japan couldn't give less fucks about manga/novel things regarding what they're about.

By reading the manga and publications the franchise has? Can't be that hard to think. Spoonfeeding with these that you probably should check first strikewitches.wikia.com/wiki/Africa_Doujinshi#Tiger_in_Desert_1

You're part of the production committee to know that? The show did really well for such a low budget run of the mill money grabbing show. The sales were good (not that they matter in these days with how productions work), merchandise outsold for nearly all created products and the music festival was a full stage, as well the Petersburg OVA having several screenings outsold all over Japan running for a month.
So I don't know what your definition of 'successful as expected' is but I'd say they met theirs. If you're talking about objective expectations of the show being good, then yeah it was really damn boring and bad in general.

Not everybody watches this for fanservice.

The strange thing is OVA's were perfect. It's like they completely replaced the team that made them.

Is there more than one BW OVA?
After I dropped BW I stopped caring.

It's not strange at all. They were good additions to already established cast which we had seen for two seasons and one movie for on screen. First season of every show is what matters most as establishing characters and Gonzo did it really well for people to enjoy anything coming afterwards. But yeah they had solid budget and style and fun scenarios by themselves.

There's only one BW OVA so far. He's talking about the SW OVA's from two years ago.

Victory Arrow OVA's were made by the same studio. I have no idea what the fuck happened.

Oh yeah, those OVAs were excellent.
I'm frankly still shocked how the same team could blunder so hard with BW.
They had everything defined by the twitter stories already, they could have just built on that, but they even chose to ignore that.

I'm still hoping for Brave Witches 2, maybe they could turn it around. If they keep following the 502nd they'd end up on the Orussian frontier like in their movie/victory arrow appearance and that'd be something different.

One of BW's main problems is that they tried to make it all dark and gloomy. But SW despite how serious the plot and background were was always a light-hearted show full of comedy moments and funny shenanigans, those were part of the soul of SW.

Actually, I think the main problem was that they added a completely unnecessary generic protagonist instead of just using one of the existing characters. That, and the lack of gratuitous butt shots.

And what if Hikari hadn't been there?
You think they would magically have done everything right?

Yes.

Elaborate.

>If they keep following the 502nd they'd end up on the Orussian frontier like in their movie/victory arrow appearance and that'd be something different.
You don't have anything to base that on at all. They can and will simply ignore anything they want from previous cameos in order to pursue Hikari storyline or anything else the producers want.

It would've been far more easier from a writing standpoint to make a better fleshed out story with the established cast that had been more enjoyable than what we got with shoehorned rookie that took 90% focus and her sister during start and end.
Also, you guys sure like to repeat the same things over and over again what made BW bad, gee, even in during same thread. All of the previous posts that exist have answers in them as to what would be better if things hadn't gone the way they did.

If they replaced all the screentime she got with literally any of the other girls it would have been miles better, she's just a boring character.

More screentime would have definitely helped, but only if they also were filled with good interactions and memorable scenes.
And I'm not sure if they would have managed that even without the two sisters.

Suomus Misfits or riot

Agreed.

I didn't think Hikari was the worst thing, I actually really like her overall character - she had a goal and looked up to her sister. I think what went wrong was too much focus on the Karibuchi sisters; Takami just didn't feel right as more than a one/two time appearance character in the series.

When you already have estabilished characters, writing episodes isn't that difficult. Just start with everyone doing their thing, then a Neuroi attacks, they shoot it in the core and go relax in a sauna. There you go, universal recipe for a decent episode. Season with pantsu and two handfuls of boobies.

She wasn't bad as far as being a Yoshika clone goes, but she was entirely unnecessary to the story and really only took away screentime from other characters.

Exactly.
But I'm starting to see your point.
The 501st was defined from the beginning on with Yoshika as an integral part.
The 502nd was defined without Hikari, instead the twitter stories had Sadako playing Yoshika's role as the newcomer.
So Hikari comes in as an outsider and given that she was never a good witch or fit to be there she wasn't even able to be a full equal part of the squad ever, she did not fit in.
It could not become a story about the 502nd with Hikari becoming a natural part of them quickly, instead it could only be a story about Hikari with the 502nd in the background.

Hikari exists because Naoe needs a love interest too.

That actually makes a lot of sense now that I think about it. Hopefully if there is a S2 they can go forward with Hikari as an established character and mostly work on fleshing out the others more.

Lack of Hikari would change nothing. Episodes that focused on other characters weren't that much better.

It's like they had no idea what to do so just wrote whatever and called it a day.

An anime with Helma in it.

Question is if they would have been able to create scenes that would be as memorable as
>Sweet Duet
>Erica slapping Trude's ass
>"ah, it rubs"
>Lily Marleen
>Erica x Marseille duel

Show us Land Witches in action in the anime already. BW teased them to hell, and yet only appeared like for one frame.

why is the nueroi so weak? they haven't posed a challenge to the witches at all. there is no tension or any sense of real danger. at least make them kill a witch.

>>Erica slapping Trude's ass
When was that?

Yeah, Hikari, if possible.

I don't see how it could look good.

Killing someone's waifu wouldn't be nice.

No bully

505th anime please
Or heck, just anime some world witches articlres. Flesh out the world a bit.

This series is fucking dead. Move on already to Kancolle or something.

Of course. The most memorable scene from that episode for me is Minna's buns of steel

Define "dead"

Kancolle is fucking deader than SW. Shit is nothing but porn at this point. Anime was like 5x worse than even BW.

>nueroi
At least get the name right, and by all means they aren't weak at all. They destroy ships and anything else from landmasses to cities in easy swoops with the hives. But yeah there's really no tension when it comes to witches fighting them off, but that's the kind of anime this is. And no named witch will ever die, Fumikane would never allow that.

Expecting expectations that have 1% chance of happening over the most likely things is really wishful mindset that will just hurt you in the end.

>he didn't watch the movie
fuck no

Fuck KanColle, that's just a soulless bowl of cheap waifus.

>Anime was like 5x worse than even BW
I wouldn't say that, I thought it was better and I don't even like boats all that much.

...

I liked the end card of Ep6.
