It's cancer liked only by pic related

Pretty good, but watch original series first

FUCK THE NEW SERIES. IT'S TOTAL SHIT.

Its infinitely superior to the originals trash writing. Anyone who disagrees either suffers from some severe mental disability, hasnt watched both of them, or simply dislikes the remake because it has CGI. Take your pick.

One of my favorites. I loved the exploration episodes.

It's made by Xebec so it's automatically good with top tier girls

It's very good. Sad that some people like to shit on it just because it's different from the original.

It's good, but be warned, there's this one massively autistic idiot who viciously lashes out at anyone who dares to like it, before insisting the dated 1974 version is god's gift.

WHERE ARE THE NEWEST EPISODES OF 2202

REEEEEE

So if I'm going to watch only one, I might as well watch 2199?

What about Harlock, which Harlock should I watch? The CGI movie?

2199 is like Homeworld: the anime

2202 is like watching paint dry

Adding more girls to any story makes it worse.

Faggot detected.

Women are hot but they're not interesting or entertaining.

Yes, its a significantly improved version of the original. Its a reinterpretation no less, though, so be aware of the fact that the originals themes are slightly different than 2199's. You should watch both, but if you only want to watch one then you should go with 2199.

Part 2 rip subbed where

youtube.com/watch?v=ob9tvEu-Q-E

Fooking idiotic 11's that didn't include subs for 2202 when 2199 had them.

Better than the original, because it has aged badly.
One of the precious few remakes that were both a good idea and well executed.
And generally I hate and despise remakes.

>2202
Isn't there just one movie so far?
IIRC the start of 2199 was also a bit slower (not as much, however).

The guy from Central-Anime said he got the raws for volume 2 and was working on it, but that was a few weeks ago already.

Theres 6 episodes out already.

>cancer

>>>/9gag/

It's much better than the 1974 Yamato in every regard.

The "beach" scene felt a little forced as far as fanservice goes, but the fact that the characters and factions actually had depth to them makes it all worth it.

Isn't there a russian speedsub like last time?

It reminded me that anime characters can still have even a little substance, even if 99% of modern anime has cliched, boring, 2 dimensional, otaku pandering cardboard cutouts.

Playing Homeworld remaster, give up after weird enemy scaling just because I have huge fleet from previous mission.

Yeah I read comment at nyaa.si. I would watch RAW if it available at reasonable size.

...

Its so easy to pinpoint retards who got into Yamato through 2199 hence why they insist its better because they don't want to watch an old anime. We're going to get these same retards when Gundam The Origin gets a full adaptation.

The cast in 2199 are significantly worse than 1974 in fact they're exactly those cliched, boring, 2 dimensional, otaku pandering cardboard cutouts

>because they don't want to watch an old anime
Sucks for you that I rewatched the original twice. We've been over this in the other thread just an hour ago. Now piss off.

>samefagging in yet another thread
Stay here mate

What do you do between Yamato threads?

>Sucks for you that I rewatched the original twice
Cool lie bro.

I'm not sure how anyone who seriously likes Yamato and watched the original can be happy with how they handled Dessler.

>i am not sure how anyone who serioulsy likes yamato can be happy that they turned a completely retarded, uncharismatic lunatic that loses Gamilus as a result of his own incompetence into an charistmatic character who is willingly sacrificing one of his own cities (instead of losing it like a retard to the pants on head retarded building stucture) to win a conflict as assure a lifelong era of prosperity for his race as a result of it
Yea, must be a hard concept to grasp. Oh fuck, his feelings for Starsha are stronger in 2199 than they are in USY (what a shock, his feelings totally werent strong in the sequels of USY), what a cuckold XDDDD

>they turned a charismatic formidable anti-villain into a fucking cuck who fuck himself and his own people over his own butthurt
Yeah...fuck off.

>formiddable
>basically nukes his own capital DUE TO SHEER INCOMPETENCE because hes too retarded to take Gamilus horrible city structure into consideration prior to coming up with his battleplan
Compared to
>is willing to nuke his own capital to get rid of the foreign threat to assure stability and safety for his entire race at the cost of a single shitty planet

Yeah I wonder. Who is more fit to be the leader of a foreign race. The retard who cant even formulate a proper battleplan that takes the battlefields surroundings into consideration, or the guy who, instead of losing his city due to his own incompetence, tries to willingly nuke it himself to win.

Also
>original dessler
>charismatic
You havin a laugh mate?

>haristmatic character who is willingly sacrificing one of his own cities (instead of losing it like a retard to the pants on head retarded building stucture) to win a conflict as assure a lifelong era of prosperity for his race as a result of it
Nice headcanon secondary but Dessler is poorly characterized in 2199 compared to the original where he kept coming back and actually got character development whereas 2199 Dessler did no such thing.

>>is willing to nuke his own capital to get rid of the foreign threat to assure stability and safety for his entire race at the cost of a single shitty planet
Nice headcanon but 2199 Dessler didn't care about the Gamilus at all and his last gambit was just to get back at the Yamato that he winds up fucking himself over for no good reason.

>You having a laugh mate?
Yes it is funny how you have not watached the original series and are still pretending you have/

>same fagging this hard again
Holy hell mate. Why do you always do this? In. Every. Single. Thread.

>actually got character development
Uhm... no sweetie.

>2199 Dessler didn't care about the Gamilus
Really? I thought that him nuking the planet meant that he cared. Hm, almost like him not giving a shit about a single planet was the point I was making you illiterate nigger. The Garmillian empire stretches over the entire universe you fucking baboon. If nuking a single planet/city to assure your races victory is what you have to do, then as a leader you do it. This is caring for your race, but I guess youre too mentally challenged to understand that.

>him nuking the planet meant that he cared
Not that user, but I guess you only nuke the ones you love, huh?

In 2199, the Gamilas attack Earth basically as punishment for their hubris in taking unprovoked hostile action against the Gamilas first. Dessler's motivation is fairly standard imperialism.

In the original, the Gamilis homeworld is dying, the bombardment of Earth is both to conquer it, strip it of it's existing population and partially terraform it into a new Gamilas homeworld so their people can move there. Dessler, villainous as he was, was reyinf to save his people.

This lead to one of the key climactic incidents of the original, when Dessler draws the Yamato to the Gamilas homeworld in an effort to destroy it once and for all, but the resulting battle causes catastrophic damage to the already dying world and kills the entire population. The Yamato, unintentionally, succeeded in dong to the Gamilas what the Gamilas had tried to do to them - killed an entire race and destroyed their world to save their own.

Of course, the sequels walked this back a bit by having many Gamilas survive, but never the less it informed Dessler's turn from villain of the original to anti-hero like figure in the first sequel and eventual ally in following ones. He gained a measure of redemption by helping Earth and finally establishing a new home for his people.

2199 doesn't have nearly as much development or focus and comes off as much weaker in comnparison it also helps that in the original both Dessler and Starsha are diametrically opposed in the original. Starsha is willing to die along with Iscandar but Dessler is trying his hardest to live on. In 2199 his motivation is based solely on being rejected for humanity.

Maybe you should finish reading stuff prior to responding, you spastic little mongrel.

>NO U
Holy shit the secondary meme is real

>H-h-h-h-h-he's suppose to be shit

This is just sad.

Wew lad, a little sensitive today are we?

They had no idea how to justify the Gamillans bombing the shit out of the Earth. In the original, it was so the environment of the Earth matched the Gamillans since they couldn't survive on Earth normally, but this is completely ignored later on so they probably thought making Dessler evil was the only way of making it work.

Rei is a cutie.

Are you purposely trying to type like a faggot or am I missing some ebin joke.

>Dessler, villainous as he was, was reyinf to save his people
>a person who is forced into action is villainous, but a person who simply conquers because he want to expand his empire isnt
Very interesting assessment

>when Dessler draws the Yamato to the Gamilas homeworld
Look, theres the retarded battleplan again. Why do you even bother to bring this up to strengthen your point? It only does the exact opposite and shows how utterly imcompetent Dessler is in USY?

>killed an entire race
No it didnt. Its called Garmillian EMPIRE for a reason. The Garmillians do not live on a single planet retard. Gamilus is nothing but the races capital.

>more same fagging
>H-h-h-h-h-he's suppose to be shit
Not really, thats the way a proper leader behaves. Sacrificing millions to save billions, basically. Its the logical thing to do.

>didn't read lol

Yeah that's all I got from this post

>Its retarded because I say so
>Meanwhile this retarded plan is not because I say so

So 2199 fags are the equivalent of Star Wars prequel fans.

>Meanwhile this retarded plan
Thats just your conclusion because you think that "killing some of your people" equals "not giving a shit about your race/people". Guess every single admiral/general in human history didnt give a rats ass about his people, then.

>this strawman

2199 are truly the SW prequel fans of the Yamato fanbase

go back to /m/ and stay there, spic.

It's great.

>ass approved

Is 3-6 subbed anywhere?
