Tsuki ga kirei

What do you think of this show?

I've been an avid watcher of chinese cartoons for the past 4 years and no other romance has topped this for me.

Hira and Chinatsu deserved better closure, but the rest was fine and it seemed real enough to remain perfect until that fantasy tier ending sequence that gave me diabetes.

Also what's up with shotacon xmas cake

Good cgi

I usually hate romance because of all the melodrama, this was a nice change though.

Nice show, great ending, fairly overrated by some people because a lot of the interactions in the middle were pretty lacking.

what got me the most was the safe space that texting provides compared to more upfront, less realistic for today's standards communication at first.

that's how relationships work when you're 15 iirc desu

>Everyone stammered like an idiot and couldn't form sentences every time they tried to talk
No.

I like TgK but you fags need to shut the fuck up.

緊張すぎた

Kinda boring but inoffensive.

>Also what's up with shotacon xmas cake
She's fresh from college, still in her early 20s.

しすぎた*
Keep trying.

This is nothing but your personal inability to accept the characters for who they are. Quite frankly, I dont even understand how you can think of this show as good if you dont even like this aspect of it, the aspect that is its biggest accomplishment. The scenes in which Akane and Kotaro are unable to talk to each other have more power than any dialogue could ever have.

>The scenes in which Akane and Kotaro are unable to talk to each other have more power than any dialogue could ever have.

I can't tell if this is a brilliantly crafted shitpost or if some idiot from MAL got lost on his way to Reddit.

Is chinese anime comparable to japanese one? Do they cater to the same stereotype?

He was chasing the wrong girl God damn it.

think about this.
chinese anime exists because japanese anime was successful in china.
so yea, pretty much the same except the chinese are even bigger jews than the nipps so expect shittier stories and better merch

It was good. But some conflict would have been nice, because without it I felt no emotional attachment to characters at all.
Both Akane and Kotarou were great characters, realistic etc. But without any conflict I just didn't feel much about their romance.

But its a legitimate question. Whats the appeal of this show is not the passive personalities of the main characters? If you dont consider their beahvior to be enjoyable, if you dont think of Akanes and Kotaros autistic noises while throwing fits or being embarassed to be exceptionally well crafted, then what is it you even like about this show? The love triangle is filler, the ending, when compared to the overall story, was mediocre, side cast was arguable left in the dirt to conclude the main story line and you sure as hell wont watch it for the animation.

So what exactly is the appeal of this show if the main casts autistic fits and their passive behavior are a downside to you?

My god, you're actually a retarded "anime pro" from MAL.

I like True Tears. A shame it was a short 7 episode series.

hiromi a best

>basement dwellers that have no idea how actual romance works
Color me surprised.

>Borderline autist loser had one ugly female friend who hung out with and thinks he knows how boys and girls interact
I like this meme.

how did you even assume all that lmao

Easily the greatest romance anime I've ever watched. I absolutely love how during the beginning steps of their relationship they simply sit there in awkward silence, struggling for things to talk about. They eventually drum something up, mostly centered around her running and his writing, and cheer each other on. Eventually though as it goes on you can tell they get over that and end up realizing to just enjoy each other's company. The episode where they attend the festival together is a perfect example of this.

Some people will say there needed to be more drama or some obstacle (and it's almost as if the show itself tries to acknowledge this with Chinatsu and (to a lesser extent) Hira's sideplot which really ended up not being a big deal) but I think what was there was perfect as it was. The 'obstacle' of the story was life itself. Struggling for their dreams, being confronted with the complexity of love, being together then split apart, etc. etc. It's simple but that's what makes it so real.

I've said it before and I'll say it here again: Romance works the best when it's a part of something greater, not some central pillar that will eventually dissolve into a mess of misunderstandings and love triangles. And that's why Tsuki Ga Kirei is such a good romance. Because it's not JUST a romance. It's a story about two kids stumbling their way into young adulthood and all the struggles that come with that. It's just that at the same time they ended up finding each other and falling in love.

>lmao
Fucking retard. Go back to pretending you know how talking to girls works on Reddit.

except i wasn't that guy. are you a faggot by any chance?

Dropped it at episode 4. The MCs are just so bland and everything else was really boring. Only other feeling I had throughout was cringe when the male MC would quote Dazai.

You have to go back.

One of the best romance anime ever and the main AOTY contender.

It was a comfy series. But I don't even remember a character's name from this series.

It was adorable.

I thought it did a better job of painting (painfully) relatable, imperfect characters than most anime that try. The whole LINE thing felt more like an ad sometimes, but it's probably one of the best relationships-by-SMS portrayals that's been done as well.

More than anything, it was just refreshing to have a fair portrayal of middle schoolers acting like actual middle schoolers, though obviously heavy on the innocent side.

I found it extremely boring to the point I almost dropped it halfway through. The artstyle and short runtime made me reconsider.

People that claim it's the best romance anime are off their meds, though.

Aoty

Good until the moving away plotline and the timeskip.
Eromanga was a better love story.

Bad bait

Get some taste, nerd.

I miss our weekly threads :'(
this was a really comfy romance, I loved it.

That billboard in the background is terrifying.

It was good but the drama kinda died down as the show went on rather than build up, became fairly boring on the last few episodes.
