>in full CG instead of the claymation used in previous Pingu series
more like WAOTY
Well I'm guessing they'll mimic claymation.
Even if they won't, Japanese Pingu should be fun.
FPBP
A huge part of Pingu's charm was in the claymation

Well he does have a cute imouto.
Please, we all know Thingu is the real NOOT kino
Fukujun as Pingu and Kugyuu as the imouto.
Oh man. Pingu.
I do hope that they'll somehow manage to make the animation not too fluid, actually.
why does his nooting always make me feel happy its so stupid
He's a cheerful little penguin.
>in full CG instead of the claymation used in previous Pingu series
what's the fucking point
Best anime character.
oh shit
DOOT DOOT
top 10 anime battles
Don't mind me, just posting the literally best anime of all time.

Why is Polygon now ruining my childhood?
Even YouTube faggots can make basic stop motion but some shitty jap studio with budget can't? youtube.com
hold me Sup Forums
Can't Polygon just make RWBY instead? Something they might improve with their 3dpd
That's Ishidate's job.
>NOOT NOOT DAZE
When's the Moomin anime
Sometime after La Linea.
So Pingu is not a meme in only my country, go figure
Literally has better ratings than your favourite anime

I can hear the 'mehhh's
It could look good, depending on how they do it.

Why is it so popular in Japan
Even Felix the fucking cat is popular in Japan somehow, I wouldn't think too hard about it.
I beg to differ.
It still hurts.
Oh wow
>Shigenori Tanabe
Well we can expect a fun show if he worked on KF.
I dunno, it actually looks pretty good here.

There's that kirby game where the cutscenes look just like clay.

It's completely lost the charm the claymation series had.

I'm ready to embrace the NOOT
They are legit kids shows unlike otaku bait stuff like precure.
>Polygon Studios
Gauna reference when?
>city
Nah, I'm not digging the atmosphere. One of Pingu's biggest appeals for me was the slightly adventurous vibe given from the vast, almost isolated Antartic terrain the penguin community lived in.

Wasn't Pingu actually the antagonist of one of the movies or am I remembering incorrectly?

My mother tells me that walrus scared me to death when I was a child.
Why is it so popular at all? This shit has a gazillion episodes, a spin off, a movie and a sequel in the pipeline.
It's actually quite decent, Flushed Away had a weird feel at the beginning for around 15 minutes then they tried to make the animation more stop motion like and it turned pretty effective in the end.
Pingu is swiss? I though he was swedish or finnish like the Moomins
>City instead of arctic
Dropped.
episode 1 leaked already

There was a bad penguin, wasn't pingu

will it be a dark and edgy reimagining?
I think you mean pic related.
This + TAWOG seem to be the most successful non-anime shows in Japan. I suppose they really enjoy quirky children's animation from the Uk.
>cute cat + weird shit
>popular in Japan >somehow
Funnily enough, there is another Moomin TV showing coming out in a year's time. It's not going to be Japanese in any way though.
I meant in the sense that Felix the cat is a washed-out has-been that hasn't been relevant in decades and appears in nothing but trashy shovelware every few years but somehow manages to still be popular in that particular part of the world.
>these voices
