Every so often I rant on Sup Forums about some shit that bothers me. I've appreciated the feedback, even from the fucking leaf population. Now I'm back again with another fucking thing that irritates the shit out of me that most of these dumbasses that I run into can't seem to fathom.
Lets run down the list. Columbine, Aurora, Virginia Tech, Charleston, Sandy Hook, Pulse Night Club, Luby's, Sutherland Springs, Las Vegas, Umpqua, Red Lake, and now this shit. Every single fucking time shit like this happens it always comes down to two differing situations. Was it islam or was it some random fucker?
Of course as soon as it's established that the entire western world doesn't need to go into crisis damage control mode to protect feelings the anti gun narrative becomes CRYSTAL clear. The thing is that there is one thing all the non-islamist mass shooters have in common besides a fucking gun and it's the one thing that the media refuses to pay a damned bit of a attention to.
Just for some context so it's clear I'm nto pulling this out of my ass. There is a list of the top 25 mass shootings by victim count. Out of that list a grand total of seven happened prior to Columbine Massacre in 1999. During all the time prior we had nowhere near the gun restrictions and a shit ton of weapons that you can't get now.
Prior to Columbine the last major mass shooting was Luby's over eight years prior. That guy was literally just an asshole. Then there was the GMAC shooting the year before that where the guy who did it was a registered felon and the government failed to have him screened. From there you have to start jumping years.
But then we get to the last fifteen years, holy fuck, and keep in mind we've had high powered rifles since the late 1800's, and automatics since the late 1930's. Over half of the deadliest shootings in US history have happened in the last 15 years. 8 of them in the last 5.

Turns out the narrative always mentions the problem but never fucking acknowledges the problem. Let's use a fucking sample size of the last ten shootings.
Orlando, San Bernadino, both are islamic based so they don't count, Fort Hood as well, and Binghamton was communist based. So we now include VT, Red Lake, Geneva, and Red Lake.
So. What's common about the shooters in Stoneman, Las Vegas, Sutherland Springs, Umpqua, Washing Navy Yard, Sandy Hook, Aurora, VT, and Red Lake? What do they not share with the Geneva shooter (that I could research quickly)
Every... Fucking one of them was prescribed to mind altering drugs.
All of them. Every single one of them. No exceptions save Islam (the #1 cause of terrorism) commies (#2) and Geneva (and I don't know if it really is an exception)

A bit more context just in case you've never had the pleasure of being on some shit that intentionally fucks with your brain chemistry. I was in the military for a few years and fought in a couple wars. When I got home I had a problem with sudden flashes of light and loud concussive noises causing my heart rate to sky rocket. My wife ( bless her ) was concerned and I went to the VA, and they gave me a pocket of pills and sent me back out into the world.
I quit taking them after about a week because I realized that some of the thoughts I was thinking were, in a really simple term, insanely fucked up. Not going into details, but when I tell you you actually have to remind yourself that doing abhorrent shit is bad and then work out in your head what 'bad' even really means... Yeah. I put those bitches down REALLY quick. For me, no amount of bullshit would ever get me to fuck with my own head like that again.
How fucked up were my thoughts? Fucked. Fucked in totality. To the point where after I got clean off of the pills I was actually terrified of myself for a few weeks.
Yet they give people the same shit, in ever increasing quantities, who are decidedly not stable to begin with. If these pills could have that effect on me, and with me growing up with the moral background I had, I can't even imagine what it would do to someone who didn't have that strong nuclear family grounded in values that I did.

I think OP makes a very valid point, at least worthy of investigation.
Here in Italy physycians will go for therapy first, and then if everything else fails, will prescribe that shit. I have also heard that they are starting to resort to this more easily in the latest years, but cannot give more than anecdotal evidence.
