People have always been breeding outside of their families, tribes, and nations. Even if we accept the claim that having more diverse mates results in less diverse offsprings and that mankind has been steadily converging to genetic homogeneity, what makes "races" as they are in this year of 2018 worthy of eternal preservation? How is the current state of things better than it has been and better than it will ever be? What are we putting the world on hold for?

Ah, I see you're an expert on the subject. The vast majority of the Khoisan integrated into colonial society, they weren't forced to mix with Dutch settlers, Malay slaves and Xhosa people from the East. They weren't slaves. There are as many coloureds in the country as there are whites today because of this.

Race mixing doesn't even happen much outside of the Americas. It's a bit of a meme issue.

I like to imagine a time where (nearly) all kinds of possible human are expressed in the population (aside from the ugly ones of course)

Well I could point out that highly mixed regions and countries have some of the highest violent crime rates in the world. I could also point out that they have lower average IQs than their European ancestors. But those don't deal with races disappearing. Are there even mixed countries that weren't subject to colonisation?
That already exists, we just aren't all neighbours.
Why would you want to throw it away? It is what makes us humans interesting. Different people from different parts of the world with different looks, history, culture.
