Not him. But killing All Might would've been an objectively better way to write the story. As it was, his survival was stupidly anticlimactic and it's not like his character was of any use since then.

Not necessarily since he already beat the shit out of Chisaki using his quirk. If he gets dequirked then finished the job in a punch of two it could be believable since Chisaki is worn out already.

Now if Chisaki is/was fresh or if they have a long fight sequence then yeah it would be bad.

Not really. All Might living is better because his character of being "the no. 1 hero" is stripped from him. He gets to guide Deku's path away from his own. Even though I hated it, he mediated between Bakugou and Deku so they would reach an understanding. He gets to deal being the one protected. etc.

It could've been disclosed without his partisipation easily. The same goes for his past. It would be even more interesting, if Deku had tried invistigating it himself agter All Might's demise

I think very small chance he dies, small chance he gets retirement injured like Ingenium, medium chance of medium permanent injury like losing an arm or something, then medium he's hurt but will recover.

I thought all for one made a good point, it would have been more motivating for Deku if All Might had died just like it was more motivating for Shigaraki that he got permacaptured. So really it was all according to plan for All for One.
