What did you think of kara no kyoukai Sup Forums?
What did you think of kara no kyoukai Sup Forums?
i want a piece of dat boipucci
I love Shiki.
Haven't read/seen her but I hear she's even more of a fucking Mary Sue than her cousin is
Nasu-verse is so fucked he really needs to chill out on fucking OP mc's
the sub-conscious will of humanity exists inside her i shit you not
lighting and animation were great, story seemed to lack content
The first movie was a giant snorefest
She has an OP power but she's just a good fighter, she would get rekt by any servant.
meme anime in every possible way. The only good thing about it is the art. but even then we're talking about a few still shots every episode.
She's not OP nor is she a Mary Sue in the literal sense of the word
Noice
Slow-paced and confusing at times, but goddamn. It's a masterpiece.
Fifth movie was the best. Seventh wasn't half bad, either.
Lio needed a better, clearer goal honestly.
it's like you didn't watch movie 5
The one movie with the locks. You know the one. The ending dream tugged my heart strings like you wouldn't fucking believe. The music went so perfectly well with it too
Tomoe was the fucking MVP of the whole film
>Family Dead
Gotta find a hideout
>Girl offers shelter
Takes it
>Romantic feelings stir
Confesses his feelings
>Rejected
Take it like a man
>Revealed to be a clone
I'm alive right now.
>Fading away into nothingness
"I...was here."
they fucked up so hard the 6th movie!
Has one of the best loli's ever written
...
typemoonshit
Chuuni shit.
Great serie
It's decent though Chapter 5 is the most overrated piece of anime in history.
It's good
The true greatest love story ever told.
Not very good honestly, fifty movie is overrated
>It's decent though Chapter 5 is the most overrated piece of anime in history.
Even though I hate typemoonshit with a passion, this tight here is the right answer.
this
And I would have preferred if they had left out the "lel, I was just pretending ecks dee" reveal at the end regarding her "twisted nature" and "bloodlust". Less of the wordy exposition would have been okay, too.
Otherwise, I would have enjoyed it more.
And without further ado, I must bring up the question burning in everyone's minds, that one mystery that grips and violently shakes the fanbase:
Can Shiki kill Servants?
Pretty good. 6 has the most elegant soundtrack and the manga has gotten great, too.
It's really fun.
Tomoe best boy
>I...was here."
Fuck...
One of my favs. When I was younger I was fascinated by it. Amazing music, visuals, mystic dark story, what's not to like?
Why did they cuck him so hard in the anime? He was one of strongest mages and had extremely powerful fire magick which he actually used in a fight but he died like a bitch in the animation.
Still my favorite anime of all time (and part 5 being my favorite movie in general) for reasons I can't explain aside from it being so beautiful.
But in the novel he casts his strongest fire magic and Touko just uses it to light her cheapass korean smokes.
But at least it shows he's a competent mage not some crazy idiot.
I enjoyed it enough to buy the blu-ray box set
Time constraints?
2deep4me
But shiki is cute.
Even though he was a fake he was more real than most people.
Agreed, Mikiya is a stalker.
It's pretty fucking good, especially the fifth movie.
Why did you not like it?
If you had the chance to date someone exactly like Shiki, would you do it?
Overlooking View > Murder Speculation Part 2 > Paradox Spiral > Remaining Sense of Pain > Oblivion Recording > Murder Speculation Part 1 > Future Gospel > Epilogue
>cheapass korean smokes
They're rare smokes from Hong Kong, they don't make them anymore, after all.
Shiki, SHIKI, 「」, Shiki, SHIKI, "Shiki" or Shiki?
It's better than the rest of Nasu's shit.
Aren't SHIKI and SHIKI the same?
One is a Boy (female) the other one is a boy (male).
Liked the 3rd and the other one with fake Shiro a lot. The rest was meh and felt utterly pretentious at times. God tier OST. I still listen to Shiki's theme once in a while
I definitely mean the 5th movie btw
Yes.
what about hollow shrine
Babby's first philosophy approach, but still good action and animation. 5th movie is fucking great.
Oh right, that's the one with Shiki in the hospital, isn't it?
The fact that I forgot about it should tell you what I think about it.
Nice.
But I prefer the superior Shiki.
Shiki is moe.
So, how many Shikis are there? I know there's Shiki (male), Shiki (female) and Shiki (mix), are there any others? I barely remember something about a fourth Shiki.
Boring as fuck 2deep4u shit. Nice visuals though.
There's also the Void.
And that's about it afaik.
Only good parts are the music, the visuals, the rooftop scene, the directing of the 5th movie, how cute shiki is and her 10/10 design
I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure even To love-Ru had character interactions more realistic than anything in this series except maybe the fifth movie
Red haired dude was okay too I guess
You guys cant even fucking pay attention while watching a film
>Muh 2deep4me
Its not that complicated, just simple dot connecting
...
I loved the books and the movies, despite 6th's butchered plot.
I suppose Sup Forums is not able to use a brain while watching anime. Serious =/= 2deep4u.
Are they saying this while reading books?
>and her 10/10 design
Now, I love Shiki as much as the next guy, but that design with a red jacket over a kimono just looks silly.
Best tracks from the OST?
the ost is nice
Fucking Type-Moon, just use a different name for every character for fuck's sake.
What went wrong? Serious question.
The light novel is so bad, unbelievably bad, like you've probably read Fate fanfic better than it.
The only magnum opus of anime for me.
The music.
The lore.
The character.
The plot.
And the studio chosen to publish the anime.
Solid 10/10
The conversation in the 7th movie about the difference between murder and slaughter is the most pretentious thing I've ever seen.
But yes, the 5th movie is fucking great. Might be my favorite anime movie desu, either that or Princess Kaguya.
It's been too long to remember clearly, but I recall being a bit shocked when watching it, as the other movies are quite faithful to the books.
God's Word isn't blockable by earbuds, as it's magic, and the main plot of the previous teacher has some differences too I think.
Is it worth reading?
I recall it being a quick and enjoyable read at the time, but since I'm a typemoonfag I'm probably biased.
I guess I'll give it a try. I'm not really a TMfag, but I like the lore.
It's my favorite and Shiki is my waifu.
>despite 6th's butchered plot.
explain
> shiki
> mary sue
She only has the power to kill literally anything, and still gets rekt at least once per movie.
You don't know what mary sue means if you think Shiki is one.
Mary Sues don't get raped by literally who.
I hate newfags.
Don't we all, user, don't we all.
Saliva showers don't count as rape.
Every TM franchise, ever.
It does if it's 10 times more potent than marijuana.
I'd do anything for that chance.
Since the eternal Fate milking and neverending destruction of that side of Type-Moon, KnK (movie series) has surpassed Fate/stay night as the best product to come from TM in my eyes.
Honestly just fucking masterful all around, it's a miracle that a niche, dark urban fantasy LN for young adults got such a great adaptation.that mostly pulled all the stops. Movies 5 and 7 are some of my favorite animated features of all time, all the others have something unique to offer too. Movie 1 is underrated and you come to appreciate it more in later viewings.
Paradox Spiral > MS 2 > Overlooking View > MS 1 > Hollow Shrine > Remaining Sense of Pain > Future Gospel > Oblivion Recording > Epilogue > Extra Chorus
At least you had good taste on the top 3.
Shiki was delicious, but I thought the 5th OVA was the only genuinely good one, and that was more due to the director's efforts than the writer's. 3 was pretty decent.
I enjoyed Lio but that scene made zero sense.
it's literally an anime masterpiece.
Is liking 3 and 5 the most the sign of an actionfag who couldn't appreciate Mikiya's character, and the fantastic main romance?
I'd also like to say that while 5 is most notable for the directing, it really stands out for how well implemented the Nasuverse lore is. It presents interesting, unique concepts, that also compliment and build up the movie's themes. But it only uses stuff that's actually necessary and relevant to the plot, rather than indulging in in-universe refences like every shitty TM work loves to do nowadays (partially because it was one of the first to be written).
Another show that tried to be deep but failed
Cocteau is best boy even if he had zero screen time in 5.
The scene with her trying to open the ice cream with one arm is the hottest scene in any anime I've ever seen. Not even fucking hentai has such impact.
Everything else was neat too, except maybe the one about the sister.
