Virgin Soul could have been a pretty sweet first love story but overly focusing on the romance aspect was a mistake, especially when it doesn't glue with the overall conflict of the series and when fans are generally more interested in world building. I kinda feel bad for Oishi, this was really a bad pick for her.

Yeah, me too, the first cour was good anime, I would even say it was better than Genesis overall. But the second cour of Virgin Soul is a mess, I really have no hope that the last episodes will redeem this bullshit. Only if they bring Amira back, big if.

I'm honestly pissed about what the writer has done because Nina's base character is prime-waifu material for me, and Charioce had all the markings for an interesting antagonist, but the shit-tier romance sucked all their development into a deep void.
