Kaguya

How is he gonna write himself out of this one?

He won't. This will get axed soon and he'll make that IB remake that he wants so much. I mean it's pretty obvious he lost interest in this series already.

Dropped if nothing happens

>This will get axed soon
Hahaa. I've got to bad news for you sunshine.
Please please please

Is this rape?

His face there is fucking priceless.

> no dump thread

Kaguya threads are dead

Just please continue translatting, tl-kun

>This will get axed soon
You wish

Dump has come and gone, you missed it.

High level b8

They both will be too embarrassed to bring it out, probably.

If we nevermind the ending it was a really good chapter

and that's why "Kaguya threads are dead", user

more like he'll make kaguya into IB.

I want that IB remake too.

I don't think much is going to change, I was expecting their relationship to pick up the pace after the fireworks chapter yet, it only improved a bit.

0/10 no ("You") for you

They are afraid of screwing up. And that fear is stronger than their desire of being together. However they welcome any advance the other party may try, as seen in this chapter.

It's complicated. They're in the annoying wishy washy part of their relationship, which probably won't end until either Kaguya or Shiro are reassured by a third party. Someone has to go on the offensive.

It's like you people were never teenagers. How much did you hesitate before asking your crush out? Or did that ever even happen?

It's actually advanced a lot since then. The fireworks was the biggest step, but every arc has had smaller but still very noticeable advancements. It looks like an athletics festival arc is coming now, so something will probably happen.
It was actually active until the end, and only died because threads weren't getting bumped for some reason.

> athletics festival arc soon

O-OH

>It's actually advanced a lot since then. The fireworks was the biggest step, but every arc has had smaller but still very noticeable advancements. It looks like an athletics festival arc is coming now, so something will probably happen.
This. It never returns to status quo, it's not doing a circle, it's an upward spiral.

If it gets popular enough he probably could pull an Akamatsu and turn it from a romcon into IB2.

It´s certainly an upward spiral for Kaguya´s thirst for Shirogane´s D.

How is Pres gonna get out of this one? Kaguya is not on his side for now, and it did look pretty implicating this time around, more so than the other times.
And Aka cares about continuity, so he probably won't just dismiss it easily.

Also, I really hope that Miko gets character development sooner rather than later, since she doesn't fit in well for now.
I also hope the reason she was a gag for the last few chapters is because she'll be a harbinger of huge plot developments when she does get it.
Really, while I actually like even episodic chapters, I still kinda feel that developments between Kaguya and Pres have been kinda stretching thin for the last few arcs, and the stage of the relationship they're on isn't particularly interesting either (they already don't fuck with each other for giggles, but they also don't help each other or fuck each other with each other in the way couples do either). It just doesn't feel natural, really.
I guess maybe he does want to end manga on confession, and is stretching the manga for anime to happen or something? Which would be an unwise decision, since he has been developing them way too quickly for that option. I think only post-confession developments can really both justify more chapters and not feel stagnant, otherwise you have to pick one of those.
Aka's been managing for now, but people do feel the tempo has been slow lately, so they're annoyed. He can only keep that up for so long.

>How is Pres gonna get out of this one?
It's probably gonna be swept under the rug for a while, like the chapter "Kaguya wants a confession" was. Also did Prez realize this wasn't all Kaguya's plan? He did see her crying.

I don't think Shirogane will have trouble because of this- Kaguya was honestly scared, but once she calms down and starts thinking again she should defend him. Since she didn't actually say he was the reason she's scared, she could just tell Iino it was because they were locked in- that much will probably be resolved off panel.

More importantly, they both think the other was going for a kiss- and Shirogane clearly saw that Kaguya would have accepted it. That should lead to some big development in the new arc- since Shirogane avoids confessing now because he's afraid, will this be enough to push him on?

I think he realized she hadn´t planned this when Miko showed up.
He´ll probably make it up with Kaguya during the athletics festival with headpats.

>headpats
Last chapter was pretty funny with how Kaguya imagined kissing, while prez imagined cuddling

Kaguya pretty much outright told him she would reciprocate if he confessed to her. I'm not sure how accepting a kiss is more certain than that.
But, well, it's possible he just doesn't trust her words completely yet, due to how often they use touching moments in mindgames. Accepting a kiss was an action.

She parted her lips and closed her eyes. If Prez realized this wasn't her plot, he should take this as an indirect confession. That'd make it a fourth indirect confession in the manga. 1st being in volume extras of French chapter, second in fireworks chapter when Prez admits to partaking in the 'game' in pic related, and third in Kaguya wants a confession chapter. We need something new.

How can one boy be this pure?

I have never even talked with a girl for more than 30 seconds.

Do you think Kaguya will make up a reason for why Prez hesitated? Will Miko try to escalate this issue? If Kaguya tries to back him up, it'll be like she's approving of it.

I don´t think she´ll let this one slide, Kaguya is gonna have to support his side of the story.

She's gonna need to determine why he hesitated so she's gonna try to put them in lots of almost-kiss situations and try to gauge his reactions. Then they accidentally kiss for real.

The only thing Miko will ever be the harbinger of is a shit gag. She was a mistake and should have fucked off after the election.

Woah, I want this. Send this to Aka.

It's an option too, and it would be sad. Miko can't just be swept under the rug like Kei was, since she's in student council and had a huge arc introducing her, not a chapter.
I prefer to be hopeful. I do trust Aka enough for that. Even if he didn't think including her through, it doesn't mean she can't develop. Her character idea isn't bad, it just has been used only for gag, one gag, until now. I do think it was intentional, since I can't imagine Aka just going "well, I guess the new student council member we just spent the entire arc should be a one-gag character forever, yeah, makes sense". He probably just overestimated just how funny her walking in on student council antics would be for the fifth chapter in a row.
A common mistake, really.

We're probably gonna get lots of sweaty lewd shenanigans during the athletics festival anyway.

How does Aka know people hated Kei? Back when Kei was introduced we were raided by nips who complained how unpopular Kaguya is there and how hard it is to find a place to talk about it. Is Aka, dare I say it, lurking these threads as we speak?

>He probably just overestimated just how funny her walking in on student council antics would be for the fifth chapter in a row.
I think it can be one of those things that get funnier the more you do it, but she needs to have an actual role in the story aside from that.

Why do people hate Kei? I thought she was alright.

I get the feeling the author wanted to end this series around the fireworks arc or at best the star gazing arc but due to all the attention the series has been getting recently he's been told to milk it a bit longer.

Dobut it, his ultimate goal is the IB remake so having a long lasting popular series is good for him.

Does this mean we'll get another round of Subject F playing mommy because Prez signed up for an event he isn't good at?

I hope so...

IB was shit. It's beyond help, and I'm sure Aka's realized that already. He was just bitter.

Doubt it. Aka really likes Kaguya, he was very happy when it won the award and puts quite some detail into backgrounds and story.

He even self-inserts as Hayasaka

I'm sure she will. Remember that Ishigami started out as a gag character two, with every appearance either focusing on his fear of Kaguya or him getting depressed and leaving to die. Now he's a beloved, well-developed character, and he's progressed to the point where he's grown out of his original gags completely. Iino just needs more time, her stuff in the election arc even gives her a great basis to develop from.

I figured nips had the same reaction for Kei as we did, and she was probably talked about at least somewhere. Or maybe he's just naturally in sync with Sup Forums despite never having been there, and came to the same conclusion independently. Or hell, maybe a friend with good taste told him. Not like problems with her were hard to see.
About lurking these threads - honestly, I wouldn't put it past him. He does seem at times to be almost responding to what the people are discussing at times, but it's possible nips have the same major reactions as we do, or he's just really good at predicting his audience. So, flimsy evidence for that.
Well, he needs to not do it every chapter either. Comedy is often about pacing. A running gag needs either a little "time" to breathe or lots of variations plus smaller size (kinda like "how cute" is). Miko bursting in and misunderstanding every chapter is just way too complex a setup to abuse it like that.
She's alright, but she's not fun. I didn't hate her, but I didn't like her either.
I also just didn't see where Aka was going with her, honestly.
Also, the "same tastes as her brother" wasn't a good joke either, and both of her chapters were pretty much built on that one. It was confusing if anything, since you don't even know how seriously you should treat it.
I wasn't one of the people shitting on her after her first chapter (which was underwhelming), but I did get kinda worried when the second one came out much later and was more of the same. And since then he seems to have dropped her, so my opinion couldn't really get better.

Well he managed to become ok-ish at volleyball and i think he's good at cardio stuff due to driving his bike everyday. Kaguya could teach him martial arts if they do that kinda stuff there as well.

Kaguya does archery as well. This might be referenced.

But Ishigami's gag was actually lots of fun because of Kaguya's yandere tendencies. Also he never cockblocked or insulted prez.

The dump for this chapter was incredibly shit. I don't want to fault the TL team but posting the chapter to batoto first was a bad idea.

I agree, but really, whoever posted that spoiler could have just as easily used the raw. There's no way to prevent it completely.

The faces are getting too cutelewd, we must put a stop to this.

Kei had potential. She could've been used to explore Kaguya's inexperience with familial love (although Hayasaka has taken over that role) and Kaguya's delusion of meeting the Shirogane family was hilarious.

Embrace the lewd, user. Lap pillow next chapter?

I think the chapter was uploaded to Batoto just as the dump was underway, I say this because I checked Batoto when the dump had just started and the chapter wasn't there yet. My guess is that the TL decided to upload the chapter while he was dumping it here to save time or whatever but the upload to Batoto finished before the dump did and that gave some shitter enough time to post spoilers before the dump ended.

Who is the most perverted person in the student council? Fujwara, followed by Bakaguya, Ishigami, Prez, and Ino?

Is Kaguya really all that unpopular in Japan? Or was it when Kei was introduced?
I can't imagine it just being completely ignored by Japan. Especially since it got this reward recently, unless Sup Forums shitposting somehow promoted a manga in fucking Japan of all places, indirectly at that.

Bakaguya might surpass Fuji soon. She was ready to mount him after the hand massage.

>Pure
>Hand on lower back

It's one of the biggest sellers in its magazine and constantly being advertised by them + 1.2 million sales. It's certainly doing fine, it's just no huge title. I think it's starting to gain some really big popularity now though.

Kaguya's always been popular. It gets good volume sales (iirc it's the best ever for a Young Jump romcom, and comes close to series with anime), usually ranks near the top, and even got promoted to a weekly magazine within the first volume. Any talk about it being unpopular is just shitposting.

user who spoiled could have used raws as well. There's no real way to stop someone from spoiling a chapter.
If anything, it's weird people are sure he's gonna do it again despite this being the first time somebody even did it. But then again, there was so much shitflinging in the thread over him, I wouldn't be surprised if he tries to repeat the "success".

Raws wouldn't have the same impact or cause as much confusion.

I-it's just to keep her warm, prez is a pure gentleman.

>ib was shit
It has its flaws (general edginess, rushed last two volumes because the axe is coming down) but the Maria Drug Arc and Witch arc is really fucking good. It's a story with a lot of potential and I'd like to see it in full.

What's the point of those threads anyway? They're not live dumps, and all of them are shit until we get to the actual discussion, at which point they turn good. This thread has been great, so if they're not gonna dump early like Jag did, why even bother?

She's all over him in that panel, where should his hand go for him to be pure? Should it be extended forward instead to push her back?

I don't care as long as it's consistent. Either do a live scan or upload and dump and then make it a discussion thread, pick one.

At this point, they're really just flirting with each other.

Where's her eye?

>bakaguya in full power

I want more of this

Outside of the cop-out at the end I thought it was a really cute chapter

Yeah their awkward flirting and Kaguya getting ready to be kissu'd was very cute. Also that track suit looks great on prez.

So since Aka needs to put a twist on everything, are we gonna get an arranged marriage arc but with Shirogane getting a fiance?

You think his dad will try to set him up with a rich girl because they're so poor? It actually sounds quite possible.

And then Kaguya gets flustered because if she interferes she'll show that she loves him.

When is Shirogane gonna connect the dots on Hayasaka?

He already saw her both as a student in Shuuichin and as maid several times. If she tries some weird stuff again he'll see right through her.

They're poor as shit, but Prez is the top student in the rich people academy. He could probably get something out of this.

Is mega still up?

Thats kinda sad user

Where do you think you are?

I think this manga is kinda losing sight of itself.

Yeah, I could see Kaguya's dad wanting him for his skills. It's unlikely, but it's the only way an arranged marriage arc could really be good- although it kind of ruins any potential of Kaguya and Shirogane working together to get his approval. Unless they work to get Gan'an's respect so he'll allow them to date, but it works too well and he wants them to marry immediately?

I think this phase of their relationship has lasted far too long. The way they transitioned from being cold and mean spirited for the sake of victory to friendly was great but this is dragging.

What's Durga/Parvati and Saraswati's powerlevel?

I want the arranged marriage arc to be them actually being arranged with each other, but since neither of them knows, they both end up sabotaging themselves.

>Gan'an
Good job remembering his name. I had forgotten it.

...

Calm down, Monster-virgin-kun.

Didn't an Sup Forumsnon draw this? Wish he made more.

Gotta update pantsu to pink.

I mean, it makes sense. All that's left is the confession, and even with all their progress, that's terrifying.
Plus when you consider how much time has passed in-universe, it really wasn't that long. Everything up to the fireworks took around 5 months (April-end of August), plus there's the 6 months before the start of the series. Since then, it's been maybe 1.5-2 months? The election was in September, so a month and a week at most, and it's been at least a week since then... but I can't see it being much. To them, they've actually been moving forward very quickly.

I'm surprised we didn't have a "does he/she still like me?" chapter after the summer break
