Dont forget the action war scenes

>beta MC
Pierre only officially becomes MC after Andrei dies. Before that Andrei is MC and he's a total chad.

Yeah, especially considering Les Miserables had anime adaptation and that book is way less appropriate for children-oriented medium.

I want brother Karamazov anime with Okada-tier love hexagon.
>slut who is actually pure
>pure and proper nice girl who is actually a bitch
>yandere wheelchair girl who NTR the MC

I want an anime adaption of Crime & Punishment

>Beta prontagonist who's poor as shit and who constantly fights with his mind if the murder he committed was justified

There is a manga IIRC

By Tezuka himself, actually.

Great book, though it was originally called: War, What is it Good For?

Who needs an anime adaption when it would never be able to surpass the song? youtube.com/watch?v=sOz5w8Lb1m4

Oshit link me

If we're talking Russian literature, you could easily make fujobait anime out of Eugeni Onegin.

What a horrible title.

There is also one japanized version with MC being a NEET, Sophia work in soap land etc.

This one? I have seen it some time ago but never picked it.

Weird, I can't find a source of such name. I found several versions Tolstoy went through: "Decabrists", "Three periods", and "Everything's well that ends well", but not the one you bring up.

>tfw your favorite book got an anime adaptation

>I TOLD YOU NOT TO MESS WITH THE PAST MARTY

>NTR
That's haram, Akhi. Don't do this. It's against god.

There are very few media that don't target under-25s. Most adults lose interest in fiction quickly.

>tfw in my thirties and still watching anime

It also doesnt help that everything starts getting repetitive
There are only a handful of stories out there, rehashed to infinity

Nothing wrong with being a manchild if you keep it to yourself.

Once you're old enough to consume adult content, that's the end of the road in terms of 'aging into' different genres, so you might as well stick with what you like.

Now thats pathetic.

What about The Idiot? It's 100% animu approved Romance.

>Tsun/Yan Love interests
>Classic protagonists
>Classic antagonist
>Good ending.

Anime is not that bad compared to other parts of television.
We live in the era of reality shows and where Game of Thrones is considered highbrow.

I want Silmarillion so goddamn much

People in their mid thirties don't want anything that is better than anime.

It's also weakest dosto

Also forgot
>Christmas Cake accepting her fate
All in all a good book.

This sounds pretty good.

Nah, fuck you, Crime and Punishment is the weakest: it has barely any story progression, too much Raskolnikov's whining, and its entire moral and character development comes down to "you must cower before god and only then will you be allowed to not be as miserable as you are by default". Idiot's not as good as Brothers Karamazov, but it's better than Crime and Punishment.

>yandere wheelchair girl who NTR the MC
I don't recall this

There was a bitchy little girl among those kids Alyosha befriended (and who were supposed to become revolutionaries in the sequel), but she was not a love interest.

Thing is that people now a days have a variety of entertainment options available for them that do not require much thought, effort or otherwise "education" to enjoy Anime being one of them and vidya the other one.

Why isn't there an anime adaptation of pic related yet?

You just wanted to watch the anime instead of reading the book.

>it has barely any story progression

Isn't LoGH just War & Peace in space?

>kill granny
>whine for a thousand pages
>give in and go to Siberian labor camp
That's the entire story of that pile of shit.

>adventurous setting
>coming of age
>MC grow and fall
>pure prostitute
>sad moments between comedy moments

Just take the disney characters and put some anime models and you have the AOTC

>comparing a short character study like Crime and Punishment to longer novels like The Idiot and Karamazov
are you going to complain how light on narrative Notes from the Underground is next?
Crime and Punishment is an excellent book in its own right, paced very well and without unnecessary detraction from the core subject matter. It's a story about one man in a hopeless situation losing and then regaining his humanity. Fair enough if it's not what you look for in Dostoevsky but it's flatly disingenuous to call it a pile of shit and attempt to condense the plot down to three lines in a poor attempt at a strawman. You might as well say Macbeth's plot is
>want to be king
>become king
>get kille

Ivan Karamazov is literally me. Uh... wicked, nihilistic, intelligent sense of humor?

No, LoGH is on Reinhard's side is literally Napoleon but the FPA is not at all like Russia and it would be more accurate to say Reinhard's side is more like it too. Besides, W&P often attempts to debase Napoleon but Reinhard is glorified throughout

See you in 15 years.

How about an anime of this?
>it has a childhood friend tsundere love interest
>an insane woman
>and a good ending where the childhood friend wins

Entertainment is not supposed to require much thought, thats the whole point.
You get into philosophy otherwise

It's too fundamentally sadboicore to be attractive to nips. David Copperfield however is just meme enough to work.

Im already past 30 son.
Anime is pure trash Im only here for the occasional manga

Only if it has killer robot monkeys

t. pseud

> often attempts to debase Napoleon

doesn't it get..almost too comical at times?
like Tolstoy just really comes off a salty af man, who provides 2 pages just to show "HAHAHAHA BONAPARTE WAS SHIT KID XD"

>retarded long plot
Neck yourself, brainlet.

It would be so boring.

Is there anything better than Tolstoy that literature can offer?
What?
Fiction is not interesting because of the story it tells, it's interesting because of the way it tells that story.

First guy you replied to;
I totally agree, and would argue that people lose interest in fiction only when they lose their intellectual curiosity.

>First guy you replied to
>new IP

Mmmmmm

I'm travelling

>Is there anything better than Tolstoy that literature can offer?

There is.

The ways to tell a story are also the same few every time.

t. frog
Better than Tolstoy or good?
No.

Yes.

>I read bestsellers and they're all the same
Who would have thought.

>I made assumptions when I have no point

Who would have thought.

Why is there no anime adaptation of pic related?

>public domain
>progenitor of SOL genre
>stereotypical moeblob characters

Japan would eat it up.

Isn't it full of drama and misery?

You can only explain a poor post like yours that way.

There is.

The more you know

I'd like this done by SHAFT.
