That kind of law threatens the whole EU, and the latest EU gun control law hasn't even been applied to any country yet. Semi-auto ban has already been done in Ireland, more countries to follow. And eventually Swizterland as well, for being in Schengen, thus having all the disadvantages of being part of the EU while having none of the advantages, 0 representation whatsoever.

Well, if norway works anyway near Finland works the government can't come and take your guns, they can ban new guns from being sold but Finland has grandad laws regarding everything. So any new legislation can only affect things from the date the law is introduced.

Semi auto rifles are not banned, the mini 14 is banned as a hunting rifle. you can still get semi autos, but you must be member of an IPSC club.

pretty much the only difference from now is the mini 14 becomming illegal as a hunting rifle (beacuse of breivik) but im pretty sure you still can own one through IPSC. but if you're a IPSC member, you can get much better rifles.

All of legal firearms in Europe are restricted behind hunting or sport shooting clauses or government permits. Yes even in Switzerland, firearms are registered and you need a permit.

Joined IPSC, not just to get access to AR, but it is pretty fun as well. And the threshold to get in is not that high.
It is surprisingly easy to get weapons in here, if you have clean record.

Losing my property makes me pissed, losing it without compensation makes me more pissed. They give you three years to sell your rifle, but you suddenly have 2000 rifles on the market and no buyers since none wants a banned rifle.. The only option is to sell it to another contry for a huge loss and tons of paper work.
