Why are Japanese LN so much worse than CN/KR?

What subject says. Why is that compared to CN/KR LNs/Web novels, japanese LNs are so plain horrible? I went through few dozens of them recently and my god, it looks as if most of them are written by 4 graders litterally - not just the plot/characters which at times can be quite interesting, but writing is so damn simplistic and horrible. Even in best novels that are "interesting" plotwise, writing is what kills the enjoyment as they are truly horrible from litteraturic standpoint and language wise. There are very few exceptions with actually decent language, but most seems to be written by people that not just not know anything about writing, but didnt even learn own language completely. In most cases, reading manga adaptations of said novels is lot more enjoyable and content rich (yes, its case when litterary source is in 100% more shallow than text limited graphic adaptations)

So why is such a huge contrast with JN novels compared to CN/KR - which, are actually language wise quite good mostly and decently written.

Is that specific gimmic of Japan trying to make the dumbest/lowest level media possible to appeal to 4 graders and illiterates, or is that reflection of overall state of japanese litterary standards?

No, they're not. Japanese LNs are the best LNs period, any other derivative LNs in other languages shouldn't even be in the same sentence as the Japanese one; they're cheap knock-offs after all. As for the language, most of the fan translations are machine-assisted and have poor grammar because the translators/editors aren't fluent in English or Japanese themselves. So unless you're reading Japanese LNs in Japanese, you can only criticize the translation because you've neither seen the original work nor know enough Japanese to do so.

OP the majority of that story is WN though, actually your paragraph of crap is about WN not LN, go read stuff off Bakatsuki to know what the difference is.

Meanwhile, CN novels are 'Always win the magic lottery' take 'drugs to power up' and the enemy is twice as strong as me, but that's ok, cause I can power up to three times the limit, rinse and repeat for every tier of levels cause you just randomly encounter people on that linear power level scope.

>Why are Japanese LN so much worse than CN/KR?

Implying what CN/KR have LN

>...they are truly horrible from litteraturic standpoint and language wise... most seems to be written by people that not just not know anything about writing, but didnt even learn own language completely.
I have zero confidence in your ability to read Japanese books, much less critique them

Fuck off, you read one xianxia and one wuxia and you might as well ignore chink WN/LN stuff forever.

Thanks, made me laugth.

Reading japanese LNs results in immidiate intellegence level drop. People protecting them, pretty sure never actually did read any. Even the most popular works are horribly written. And its ironic talking about "read one know all", seeing the current japanese isekai/battle harem LNs.

do you understand they are literally written for teenagers? its just pop literature. why are you expecting dostoevsky?

also reading fan-translations and trying to account for quality of writing is dumb. you didn't think your post out very well, did you?

>japanese litterary standards
>look at me i'm only reading deviantart trash OC donut steel WN/LN
This is why LN shitter should fuck off from Sup Forums, fucking disgusting piece of shit

It's the mad chink, he pops up every so often to shill chink stuff and shit on anything Japanese, feel free to ignore him or laugh at him.

Back to >>>/reddit/, 50 Cent Chick.

>Reading any chink shit gook shit and jap shit LNs results in immidiate intellegence level drop
FTFY, fucking denegerate sub human

Semantics. Speaking about japanese LNs they also cant be categorized into one thing - its different type of WNs, LNs of different publishers, LN adaptations of WNs and normal novels packaged as LNs by adding illustration.

KR/WN are mostly web novels, but also published works as well - mostly following own format, but having things in common with LNs: main factor being audience.

The major difference is chinese and korean works still feel like novel, while Japanese in 90% of cases as simplistic dumbed down scripts.

So are the Chinese/KR/Russian/whatever ones, so?

i figured he was some butthurt chink or some equal lesser asian who is mad his mom fucked a white guy.

i don't have any knowledge of those, so i didn't comment. something you should try from time to time :^)

>reading fanfiction jerk off stuff
>litterary standards
Jesus christ

>laugth
Nice argument, faggot.

Oh, that actually explains a lot.

LN in general are a garbage medium catered to kids too dumb to read books but that feel too childish to read comics

Comparison is cruel. Neither is Noble Price winning works, and they are compared to each other.

Similarly its easy to say Japenese hentai is lot better than korean porn. All thats needed is point of reference.

Japanese novels advantage is they are unrestrained comming up with original settings (but suffering from being trapped in common tropes and archtypes) - while KR/CR are more genre litterature, however the writing quality itself is abhorent.

Fuck off chink chong

This faggot is from novelupdate and he always spams crap about how chink chong are better than Nip.

Thats not necessarily true. It is indeed medium created for kids, but not all youth litterature by default should be shit.

Find me even one example of your chink or gook shit surpassing the intellectual rigor and command of prose of this excerpt:

i don't know if you're kidding or not but that is pretty horrible writing

i think you're being sarcastic

I bought a watch last year.

Yeah let see about that more genre literature

>They discovered a cave when they reached the halfway point.

>The babe that came with them spontaneously got excited, and insisted on entering. However, the moment they entered something unexpected happened.

>Yi Yun found a rectangular purple crystal in the cave — one that looked like a crystal card from a science-fiction movie. As soon as he discovered, and, out of curiosity, touched the purple crystal, the walls started to rumble and the cave collapsed!

>It was hard to describe what emotions were going through Yi Yun as he saw several tons of rock smashing downwards. If one had to use a phrase to describe it, it’d be, “Only when dying does one truly know what dying is.”

>He was still young, healthy and good-looking. And he was still a virgin…
What a load of crap

>green texting outside of Sup Forums
What a faggot

Now let me convert it into Japanese LN language:

A cave!

Tamae gave an ecchi look and rushed in. But!

Hiroe looked around. There was a crystal, it was purple. [Hmm, i sure nothing will happen if i touch it]

Bang! A rock fell on his head. [Kamisama, the walls collapse!]

[I want someone to format my HDD secret folder, i dont want parents to find it when i die!]

>Only when dying does one truly know what dying is
Damn, so much philosophy, too deep for the like of me

They're both the same, what your point?
