The NRA is it's own problem on the fight for fun rights, namely it's stance on background checks and mental health.

My major gripe is that it pushes for "mentally ill" to not be able to own guns. The problem is, that kind of information tramples on the privacy rights of a patient, and is only available from the healthcare institution that is supposed to keep that private and secure.

The major problem in pushing this idea, is that people will avoid seeking mental treatment because they want to keep their guns. Now you have people with untreated mental conditions getting guns.

The NRA doesn't need more money.
