Pedos are vile af. The current laws in MI are terrible for convictions of incestual child rape. The SoL on 2,3,4 degree crimes are low. Often the vile pedos start molesting their own kids really young to create a DID alter. The alter dies when the father is done with the kid and the kid has no clue what is wrong with them until years later because the trauma is in the unconscious mind.
These laws correct for that problem by allowing victims to come forward after the memories surface or the kids puts the pieces together about why they fit the psych profile of a rape victim but have no memories of it.

I would think corroborating statements from enablers who at the time were quiet and helped silence the victims. They thought they would be out after the SoL was up, but now they face 15 years of living in fear of when they will be called to testify. They would probably give a statement quickly to get it over with. Also, psych reports showing C-PTSD. Recovered memories from EMDR.
The internet didn't exist in some of these cases. They quietly went about enabling these monsters. Now, the can be named and shamed properly. That is good motivation to come forward to give a J. Doe statement to the police.

Historically, yes cases were thrown out. However, the false memory syndrome foundation was started by a child molester who was attempting to silence his victims. The Establishment supported him because birds of a feather. The corruption is very real.
Yeah okay. Repressed memories are largely a legal fad, like multiple personality disorder, etc. There's no basis in scientific evidence here, its all just bullshit. There's studies showing people have worse reactions to being "treated" by therapists, and even evidence of having little-to-no trauma prior to being told their experiences were bad. And that's not even the important thing, most cases are false allegations.

Lawyer here, pretty sure the federal rules of evidence allows this also now. Generally its not because its so prejudicial (letting a jury think one is of a certain character and thus they must have acted true to that character is dangerous) but they allow it in certain sex crimes.
Tons of push back by lawyers who deal with this, but muh feels > due process.
