I don't have memories of most of the anime I watched during my childhood. The anime shows that impacted me, or let's say, made a long-lasting impression on me are the long-running anime which I still watch from time to time.
I believe that I haven't been watching anything before I turned 12, and by that I mean I haven't been following series with a plot, watching consecutive episodes regularly. I do remember seeing Pokemon and there were Yattaman, Dashu Kappei (once know as Gigi La Trottola, we had anime with italian dub in TV, and Tiger Mask).
My parents told me to just study, and I haven't had an access to TV or computer, so everything above I saw on friends' TV once a month or so. At least I had good grades during that time, too bad I turned NEET at the age of 23 and I've been catching up with anime since then.
Early childhood: >Heidi Girl of the Alps >Dogtanian and the 3 Muskethounds (the GOAT)
Childhood: >Doraemon >Ninja Hattori >Pokemon >Digimon >Medabots >Yu-Gi-Oh >Beyblade >Dragon Ball >Sailor Moon and probably some more I didn't get around to watch much of
I never did find the alley that was painted on. I'm 90% sure it's near Neill Street in Carlton.

The only one I watched a lot of was Medabots, I think I followed it long enough to see almost the whole thing. I was following Sonic X too at one point, but I think it changed timeslots or channels or something and I lost track of it. I watched a little bit of Kirby, but I don't remember it being on the air for long. I remember watching Speed Racer when I was really young, but I don't remember it airing much after that. I also caught an episode or two of Hamtaro, which was apparently enough to convince to name our hamster that. Somehow managed to miss out on Pokemon and DBZ though despite those being popular with some friends at school.

I kind of sort of vaguely remember watching Voltron and Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs when I was really young. Then there was nothing. Then when I was like 12 or 13 Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball, Samurai Pizza Cats, and Ronin Warriors all started airing in the United States.

I also remember watching a few episodes of a magical girl show (of sorts) but for the life of me I can't remember the show's name. Maybe someone can help? This is what I remember:
- The main character was a short-haired girl that had a pendant that could turn into a sword (no she's not Sakura, the pendant could ONLY turn into a sword). - The main girl had two friends that initially couldn't use any magic but later on they also received a pendant. One of those new pendants could turn into a bow.
Anyone?

I was 13 when Toonami aired, so I didn't have a lot of exposure to anime. >DB/Z >Pokemon >Sailor Moon
I'm honestly trying to remember more, but coming up short.

My based country used (and still) airs hundreds of timeless masterpieces from the 70s and 80s. I grew up watching Sinbad, Future Boy Conan, Tiger Mask, Treasure Island, Trapp Family Story, and much much more. Those were the days.
