Do guns kill people?

>guns dont kill people
>people kill people
I agree with this but I seem to see a lot of people treating this argument as fallacious, is there a proper argument against this?

That isn't an argument, that's just rhetoric. To reword it as an argument might look something like, "there is no statistical correlation between gun ownership rates in a nation and homicide rates."

An opioid sitting on a shelf with no human interaction will likely kill no one.

An otherwise healthy fetus, not interfered with in the womb, will likely come to full term - resulting in a live birth.

The guns involved in the Chicago genocide do not randomly aim & fire themselves at humans.

These are all responsible for more deaths than 'rifles'

> It's the people stoopidt

Yes but so do a million other things. Christ sake you can die by bleach, by car fumes, by knife, bus/truck of peace.

Any fucking thing can kill you.

I mean guns do kill people but no by themselves, guns also save people but no one seems to give a fuck about that.

People don't kill people, I kill people.

People die.

I thought every day was a genocide in Chicago, Satan.

semantics

my car is sitting outside, but unless some wacko steals it and starts to play sidewalk bowling, it won't be killing anybody.

so no, not really.

Lack of guns has killed 100 million people in the last 100 years.

And on the off chance that there WERE such a correlation, what would that mean?

My argument is that things are falling apart and they aren't going to be fixed and I want my gun for when it all goes to shit

Guns kill people and that's entirely their purpose.

I wonder why a person would “exclude the third world” in creating such a table? Would doing so not support a certain agenda? Looks to me like Lithuania makes a pretty good case for “lack of guns” being more deadly than guns.

>guns dont kill people
>people kill people
someday guns will KILL innocent ppl ban now assaultgun

It's hard to take that argument seriously, it's overly simplistic. People with guns kill more easily than people without guns, and countries with fewer guns have fewer mass killings

Delightfully devilish Seymour

>I wonder why a person would “exclude the third world” in creating such a table?
To control for socioeconomic factors and the violence and lack of adequate law enforcement that comes with a lack of development. You wouldn't want to compare US and Russian murder rates because Russia is a shithole in other words.

It's the fact that the people who say
>guns dont kill people
>people kill people
don't understand the fact, or deliberately choose to not understand that easy accessibility to weapons makes it considerably easier for individuals with ill intentions to gain the required tools to commit their crimes.

What do you think would happen if Europe suddenly got the same gun laws as one of the more liberal US states like Arizona.
Gun violence and Gun crime would skyrocket.

Guns kill guns. Only intellectuals will get this joke. It's the pinnacle of topical humour.

White poeple kill poeple.

i hope they put a torso and head on that thing, and have it walk the dinosaur when it opens fire

Read anything published by John Lott. The fact is “More Guns means Less Crime”.

>Do hammers break things
>do screwdrivers strip screws
>do spoons make people fat
>do cars cause crashes
>do knives cut people

>tulashit

You literally need arms to walk the dinosaur you fucking idiot.

Guns absolutely kill people. That's the fucking point.
They also are effective in stopping crime before it happens just by brandishing one.

>“More Guns means Less Crime”.
There is no proof for that.

semetics*

>stopping crime before it happens just by brandishing
RIP user's arsehole

I've never had to do it.
There are no stats on it.
You better be ready to pull the trigger if the weapon comes out
Having said all that, I can guarantee that this is something that happens a lot more than people realize.
It is also a very realistic crime deterrent.

After Aussie government stripped you of your guns your gun deaths went up. Lol

In other words, to make the US look as bad as possible

this graph doesnt even look like it proves a correlation at all

...

incorrect

she looks on 56%

Guns don't kill people, the government kills people

Nope. Correct

So what happened in Ruwanda was a “false flag”?

It makes leftists ANGRY when you remind them of those stories.
