We don't suppress our patriotism but we're not taking it to an extreme. We have many traditions and holidays specifically for the Dutch which have something to do with our history as well. Also some offensive holidays like Sinterklaas with Black Pete who no one gives a crap about besides some angry black people who no one takes serious.
