No, I loved it all the way

I liked it. Everybody cheering as the heroes return home is a nice ending.

It was a good ending which could have been better executed

Showing some aftermath would help.

Uh, nice to hear, i just marathoned the manga and liked it too. I started reading it in the first place because in a Sup Forums thread about the new movie a bunch of anons said the ending was crap and called the author a hack, before that i didn't even know it ended

But then again it's fucking Sup Forums

Speaking of the movies, are the live action ones worth checking out? I think the second is original material or something

>guy paints himself black
>goes on a shooting spree
fucking dropped

Don't bother. Just watch O and listen to super shooter.

it kinda just trailed on at the end.

He just wanted sum kinda suicide squod

I liked it.
The entire final arc was pretty bad imo though.

Same with Inu Yashiki, I liked the ending but the arc it was involved in was awful.

What didn't you like? I thought it dragged on for too long and that the last giant was kinda boring but i liked the general idea

I disagree. I think Gantz has always been about big, heroic moments, and very little else. That's why there are vampires and psychics and a muscleman delinquent out of nowhere; the author thought they were cool, and they were used for cool moments. An epilogue would be superfluous.
>The company behind Gantz gets in legal trouble
>Something with the remaining aliens on Earth
>These characters get married, these characters have a kid

Pretty much what everyone said before, the ending by itself wasn't that bad.

However it could be greatly improved but I felt it was rushed, also the last arc and final chapters had a super slow pacing and I was very salty about it because I was current since '06 and the final chapters were very deus-ex machina

The pacing went straight down the shitter with the Osaka arc, and everything else afterwards, just got worse.
Many questions were not answered like the Vampires, while others were pretty boring, like the Gantz ball origin and what the aliens were.
Also, the God aliens scene was easily the worse moment in the manga by far.

What's super shooter

tv series op
youtube.com/watch?v=832L1Ph1aTk

It's a good ending, but there are so many loose ends: 1) The vampires 2) Kurono's brother 3) Kurono 2 (which had a very anti-climatic ending) 4) The annoying plot-armor of Tae
In the end, Gantz has a great premise, but Oku did not know how to develop the story in a good way, as if throwing what he thought was cool, but without thinking about how he works it. Good to see that in Inuyashiki he learned from the mistakes.

Akira was killed by the vampires for his betrayal

I hated when he put vampires in Gantz. It was like "What the hell?"
And then I hated when he forgot the vampires in the final arc.

>The real MC and friends died and only copies of them survived.
Always spooped me somehow.

Yeah, but even after Kurono revives, he does not even touch the subject once. Honestly, I expected more from this plot, but it disappears like the vampires after the Osaka mission

They were in the crowd watching Kei fighting the last giants. I think he wanted to imply they turned good or at least uninterested in hunting humans/gantzers, but then again don't they still need humans to feed? In that seminary thingie the guy was explaining to newcomers they could eat normal food but it would make them feel sick

n that seminar, they say they are enemies of the hunters, and for some reason need to kill them. Why? In the end no answer is given and the plot is cast aside, to the point that I wonder why it first crushed the vampires in the story.

>True villains of the series show up, gloat a bit, ressurect and then kill some characters and then blow up Clone Kurono and fuck off.
I'm still mad.

Pretty sure they're the bad good guys. If it weren't' for them humanity would've been driven instinct or in slavery.

>villains
They were kinda dicks, but I wouldn't call them villains. They did give humanity a fighting chance, after all.

>True villains
explain. I thought they were literal on the side of humanity just to fuck the bigger aliens.
Like Allies to us and bad to them.

>censored
I would love to fap to some kind of human with Hilter in "her" chest.

Well, supposedly that doesn't need a specific answer because the last arc reveals every alien race they fought were space refugees, so if they were to know a group of super soldiers were hunting them down then they'd retaliate

But that begs the question of wether the vampires were actually aliens or not, because if they were how was Kei's brother among them. Were they humans corrupted by the oni alien or something and used as cannon fodder against Gantz?

I liked it, I'm happy they sticked to a theme and made them too big to care about humanity instead of involving them in another sword fight

The other aliens tried to fuck with them first so they decided to fuck with them by providing us with the shit to make Gantz happen. They could have easily destroyed the other aliens but decided to be cosmic dicks about it and create another huge war between two races for fun.
They basically just show up to be assholes about everything and reveal they were the mastermind behind everything

The only character who might have stood even a remote chance was an even more developed Cherry, he was quickly becoming some sort of god Esper but died before he became even more powerful.

They weren't really the mastermind, as they explain they gave us the tech but it was the corrupt politicians of earth that decided to implement it like they did

These super-aliens were asshole but they didn't really have control of anything, they didn't care to

nah, his body couldn't handle it like the glorious god race

So was the first Koruno also a copy of the one who died in the subway?

But vampires were not aliens. Kurono's brother was human by the way. So why were they in conflict with Ganzt?

The vampires were just there to give a outside threat to the Gantzers, when the game wasn't being played.
Kurono's brother, the disease, the blood parties, all of that was just wasted pages for a group that could have easily been replaced by an alien enemy.

Yeah, they were all copies. Did you forget, Kishimoto was copied by Gantz too early and when she went home she found out her original self survived the suicide attempt and went on with her normal life

Reread my post, I'm suggesting the vampires were humans corrupted into monsters by the Oni alien which seemed to be their boss

>Did you forget, Kishimoto
I literally did. Wasn't she only relevant in the first few chapters?

I wish Fra had survived

Well yeah, she died relatively early. But she was resurrected for about two seconds by the alien gods, and Kato meets her original self sometimes before the final arc. It's funny, back when the series started it was all about her and her huge knockers but eventually Reika overshadowed her in all material. Can't even find decent porn

No just salty that they didnt kill off Tae

>dat scene where it looks like she's considering confessing to him

>The Osaka guy raping a ghost and the final boss
>The literally who raping one of the giants
I need a spinoff just about this shit

I liked it all, being able to binge read the entire thing probably made it much more digestible.

Tae deserves happiness

Osaka guy was alpha

binging it really helps.

come home angry from work and think reading gantz would be a good idea to chillax.
tfw it's suddenly morning

Tell me there's doujinshis about this

Is that Stanley Kubrick over Hitler?

At first i thought it was Charles Manson because of the evil men theme, but yeah, must be Kubrick

>that part where it starts the exposition and turns into Morgan Freeman

This image came to mind

I didn't hate it, but I was glad it was finally over. I used to love it but it dragged on too long. The last arc was too ridiculous to me and most of my favorite characters had been killed off except for Muscle Rider. I really hated Kurono and Tae at the end of it. Would have been a great ending if they both drowned.

>TAE
>TAEEEE
>TAEEEEEEEEEEEE
>TAE TAE TAE TAE TAE TAE TAE TAE TAE TAE TAE TAE TAE TAE TAE TAE TAE TAE TAE TAE TAE TAE TAE TAE TAE TAE

Was TAE the reeeeee of their time?

my god i completely agree with you. that god arc wtf i think he made it so scientologist could cum into that crap of a scene what the shit

>reika fucking dies
>even in death during a supposedly sad scene every panel is focused entirely on her tits
bravo Oku

Yeah, that was odd considering how toned down the sex started being at some point

>tfw this part really fired up my neurons

i forgot, what happened to the alien civilization?
did the humans captured them or destroyed them?

I hated most of it.

destroyed them and captured them

Didn't the morhership get away because Kei refused to blow it up leaving only a military one to be captured?

i think the mothership got destroyed because of that last soldier's suicide, exterminating the whole civilization

I really enjoyed when the final invasion ocurred and Kurono goes ham on the aliens and reveals that he's a goddamn beast to a bunch of kids that thought nothing good of him and the entire school ends up following.

>Many questions were not answered like the Vampires
they were fucking explained, why the fuck do people keep asking this question? It was fucking explained how they came to be, and the reason why Oku wrote them out cause he's a bad writer and didn't know how to write them in.

Yes

I enjoyed the entirety of the manga. The spore thing that makes you turn into heads was pretty neat and creepy.

Now that's the stuff

>Delicious brown, busty, short haired, giant, alienfu

He was the greatest.

is that guy sucking on her nipples?

There was a lot of unresolved shit.

I didn't like the beginning so I dropped it after few volumes. I don't really get its appeal.

Wacky aliens, violence, mystery, boobs

How could you not love how much of an asshole the protagonist is?

What's a good chapter to just start reading Gantz? I don't have the patience to read from the beginning.

If you really must, start at the end of the second trial and get into it with the third. That's when it starts to get really good.

Watch the anime's first season or the new CG movie, if you like it then go on with the whole manga. I don't think there's really a good starting point in the middle, things always change gradually (in fact when i first saw the CG movie i got confused because the rules of the game changed, and i didn't know if it was the movie getting into OC territory or what)

>alien invaders massacre literally millions and millions of people
>"government" and aliens sign peace treaty
>everyone suddenly forgets about it, is interested in them and their culture and hate on the ones that keep fighting them
That was completely idiotic.

Not a bad ending, just rushed. The giant Hitler-Dog thing was basically the author saying "here's all the exposition that I don't have time to give in a more organic manner" and the whole arc with journalist in Germany was dropped midway so he could just appear in the ending and say "lol I discovered everything!".

I didn't mind it. But the entire giant alien invasion thing seemed like a completely different series from what came before it.

Interesting, people usually love the beginning and begin disliking it as it goes.

Then don't fucking read it, what kind of retarded idea is that? Forcing yourself to read it just for the sake of saying that you read it to Sup Forums?

Well not really, if you see a super advanced civilization destroying your planet you'd be pretty relieved that a peace treaty was being signed. After all as far as the common people goes there's no way in hell humanity could possibly win the war. Being interested in them and their culture is definitely retarded in such a small amount of time but hating on the ones that kept fighting is somewhat understandable since they'd basically be terrorists and you wouldn't want the peace treaty to break and for the aliens to start killing humans again would you?

I still want to read it.

I want to be loved by Sup Forums

Go ahead, vol.1, ch.1.

The end is just the final spit, the disaster started way before in the vampires introduction.
