YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Is this fake?

No, but it's just a short animenewsnetwork.cc/news/2017-09-14/cowboy-bebop-shinichiro-watanabe-directs-blade-runner-anime-short/.121376

Glad he's still active at least. I dig both blade and Watanabe but the idea of a short movie sounds meh.

>Black Out
>main guy is black
>main girl is white

...

if cygames puts some decent money like the first bahamut this might be magical

>just a short

Son of a bitch

Would be cool if we could get an Animatrix type movie, but in Bladerunner universe.

A bunch of different directors doing shorts vaguely connected to the universe.

Could be a cool 15-11 minutes series.

That would be the tits. I definitely want to see the world through the perspective of different detectives or regular dudes in that world.

Blade Runner sucks

...

This really didn't need to happen. And neither did the sequal

...

It doesn't NEED to happen.

But since it is, might as well try to enjoy it

I am ready for a Deckard who is both moe AND dandy

...

i honestly coudnt give a single fuck about the squekel but im exited about this short film

>bladder unner

The short is about the gap between the real Blade Runner movie and the shitty sequel, fag.
If you're excited for this your excited for the sequel because the sequel is the only reason this faggy short exists.

Meh.

Yes, it's only being made as a promotion for the new movie, but that doesn't mean you can't just enjoy it for it's own merits. Whatever they may end up being.

im gona apreciate the animation and cinematography of the sort film and im not gona watch the sequel, unlike you i can contain my sperging

>implying Denis won't make a better film than the original

That is true

Villenueve has a pretty great track record right now, so I'm giving him the benefit of a doubt.

Did this movie need to be made? Not at all, but they are at least getting a top notch director to do it.

>It's okay when Japan does it

>just a short
Goddamnit, I was hyped for a second there.

im not saying it will be bad but the original blade runner had this cyberpunk feeling everything looked rusted and old the strets feel full of life and realistic, this new fill just look like another cyfy flick whit stale scenarios made in cgi

fucking watanabe need to get his ass whiped back out to the cotton fields of series instead of making unfunny ovas

>we want the weeb audience!
this movie is going to suck ass, sorry to disappointed you.

>Bladerunner for the weeb audience
Oh, you mean GitS?

Not a single one of his movies is really great, they're all good looking and somewhat interesting but as it goes on you realize it's another Denis whatever film that does the same thing as his previous one. They all feel the same and all rapidly decrease in quality down the line. He's very much along the typical "upper Hollywood" class directors that try to be a bridge between, what their fans like to imagine as art house cinema and pop culture. Absolutely dull to me. I know he'll make a decent movie, one that looks good and has a little attention to detail here and there but is extremely safe at the end of the day. That's it though, nothing exciting at all.

As for the actual topic of the thread, the last time Watanabe did something we got high school super soldiers stealing nuclear material from a highly guarded facility and then trying to reenact 9/11. He's obviously done much better but ZnT was just too bad.

i hope you are being ironic son

>blade runner 2049 is a thing
Why do they keep making sequels of things that don't need sequels?

holywood run out of ideas a long time ago

...

What did he say in response?

>you are god damn rigth
something like that

live to his motto

this is the state of hoelywood shits
easy bake capeshit, reboot and cheesy adaptation. No different from LN.

you dont have to watch them mate, they just want your money afther all

Wonder what happened to him, I guess it's just the age? All that energy and wit he used to have.

Haven't really been following the new Bladerunner news. Are they adapting the second book or is it entirely original?

>These official and authorized sequels were written by Dick's friend K. W. Jeter. They continue the story of Rick Deckard and attempt to reconcile many of the differences between the novel and the film.
those sound like ass, have you read them?

Nah, was considering if they were the basis for the new movie. Didn't know Dick didn't write them either.

He's, like, literally 75 years old.

...

>Flying Lotus is composing the music.

>and meanwhile Palmer Eldritch will never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever get an anime
I'd pay for a Ubik animu too. DADOES wasn't that great of a book to begin with compared with Dick's other stuff and doesn't even justify nine billion even shitter adaptations.

Are you ready for replicant pussy?

Can someone fucking kill me now

>Its true

What the fuck.

Isn't he figuratively 75 years old?

I'm pretty sure he's objectively 75 years old.

It's okay, MLWA and YoI started with shorts too.

HOLY SHIT FLYING LOTUS IS DOING THE MUSIC!?
