I started losing weight by doing one thing really. Cook all my meals use only fresh ingredients. Nothing canned. Nothing premade. Only snacks allowed is fruit. As much as I want.

The type of food I was eating was low in carbs and sugars.

Tea and coffee with nothing added or water for drinks.

Breakfast would be steak and eggs instead of a big bowl of cereal. Oranges for a snack instead of chips or a snack cake. Lunch was baked chicken with steamed broccoli (3 breaststroke and a pound of broccoli), a few pears for a snack, and dinner was a two pound chuck roast with carrots, onions, and a potato cut up.

I eat when I want, and eat a lot, but I don't take in bullshit that is dense in carbs and calories.

It's the type of food he ate mate, it's totally believable. One of the best pieces of advice I give fatties is just to change what they eat, not even how much.
Water makes you feel just as full as soda, rice and lean meat like chicken fill you up just as much as a hamburger except with more protein and less calories, veggies have like fucking nothing except good old vitamins and minerals

That's what I mean, it's physically impossible for him to be eating more while losing weight. Granted, I tend to think of food strictly in terms of calories, so if it helps understand anything I've said, I suppose it's worth mentioning that I consider a pound of celery (calorie neutral at best) to be less than an 8 oz burger (significantly more calories).

I can get eating a greater variety of things, but I'm not just seeing it happen where a person can switch off from a 3 meals for lunch diet onto something where they eat "more" and lose weight.

I don't understand the philosophy behind being this deep into denial. I think it stems from laziness. I am obese, and not only do I also recognize that it's a problem but I am doing something about it. Working out makes me feel great and I am on track to have lost 150lbs by this time next year according to my trainer.

I really think these people have something broken in their heads that they have such fucked up priorities -- where even their life is put after their comfort and convenience. Maybe it's depression?
