The richest doujin artists I know are a Touhou doujin group from Taiwan who are making those 20 minute to 30 minute Touhou anime episodes you could find on youtube, complete with music soundtrack and also mainstream voice actors they hired with their own money.
It's not cheap making anime and this doujin group had enough funds to hire VAs.
They managed to hire Kana Hanazawa I believe.
Meanwhile, Raita barely has enough money to fund a full episode of his Mahou Shoujo series.
And they look like they break even enough to keep producing more Touhou anime.
Being a published porn artists seems like a decent life in general. Never seen any of them releasing their stuff more often than once every 2-4 months. A lot of them don't even have twitters/pixivs etc so it must pay good enough to support a living and then there is a bonus of receiving your share from tankoubon sales and possible franchising through figurines, anime adaptations etc.

As far as I've seen, Mine Yoshizaki's doujin work only had nudity, no actual sex, so it was rather light.
I think you might be talking about how the Space Policewomen have similar skirt design to some UFO girls that he drew for some old game doujin where he replaced the enemies with cute girls wearing skirts based on the enemies, including UFOs, and nothing else, so topless. They aren't really the same characters though, it's just a reused skirt design, and the ones in Keroro wear shirts too. Most of his doujin were based on random games, so the characters couldn't be straight up reused anyway.
He has actually reused characters from his professional one shots in Keroro though.
