Same goes for mass shootings here though. And the argument will always be "If it saves even one life" and that's not THAT bad an argument, until you realize that the solution to all of these problems will involve the use of manpower and money which you only have so much to allocate. So yes, it may be more valuable to the bigger picture to focus on any of those top issues. Same in the US.

Also, there is no way that airplanes kill more of us than cars is there? Hell, damn near 90% of people who do crash survive, and that's saying nothing of the fact that plane crashes are pretty rare.

The problem is terrorism has a bigger effect than just dead people. Also every civilized country does whatever it can to prevent all those causes. Why shouldn't they try to prevent terrrorism?

In 2016, only 374 people were killed by rifles in the US, of which the AR-15 is a fraction. This is a pretty admirable record for a tool designed to kill people.
If the anti-self defense crowd actually cared about saving lives, there's a long list of causes of death in the US for them to work on.
