Fuck Google Megathread

Google has banned Alex Jones and are in the process of strangling everyone right of Karl Marx on their platforms.

They have made it obvious that the majority of people in the world, are not welcome on their site.

Therefor this thread serves two purposes:

1. Brainstorming ways to royally fuck over Google by any means necessary(Ideas for competing platforms/destroying their credibility/etc.)

2. A place to post how retarded Google/YouTube has become.

Why should I care about this thread?

A: For many reasons, first off, Google is the authority in how most people are learning today, which means if they choose to change the definitions of words, try to rewrite history, or anything in between they will be largely successful.

Secondly, this thread should be ripe with ideas and research, anyone willing to create alternatives for Google's many platforms may be the very person to become the next Elon Musk. Tech is the future, but we need people to innovate, by sticking with Google we have allowed them to become an evil monolith with no competition. The time is ripe for competing platforms to be flooded with eager users, basically millions of people are pissed at Google/YouTube for a variety of reasons, from the adpocalypse on YouTube, to Google targeting political enemies. Google's hope is that everyone just simmers down in the coming years and accepts getting fucked. Their worst nightmare is a competing platform, powered by the users that are sick of their shit.

Finally, Google is such a pile of human garbage fueled by angry man-hating feminists, they are doomed to failure because they forgot about meritocracy, so consider this a front-row seat to the drama.

The biggest problem that you may want to look at is monetization. If you can get advertisers on board, also make them accept ALL of the content, then you are good to go.

I think that there may be a point in the future when even blatant racially inflammative ads like "how are you going to catch these niggers in your shitty shoes right now? Get nikes nigger killer chaser edition #3 teee em and win that race war!" as a bit more extreme example. But srsly, the chinese have these washer advertisements where they turn a nigger into a chink with laundry deterrent and a good spin in the machine.

Since we have a large nigger, jew and whatever hating amount of people here. Maybe advertising to this willing crowd these days could work? I mean if we control the content, the site, and the goods...circumventing national racial laws with foreign proxied ads is going to be ez as heck.

There is an answer to this google coonery. It's coming this summer. You are not ready.
You monkeys have to 'think up' ways of subverting google like google isn't tracking ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING YOU POST HERE. Theorizing their demise here is like going to have a smoothie at the Google mess hall and complaining that it's not cold enough.
Monetization is how the jew got here. Advertisers will attempt, at every turn, to enforce their morality upon content. The idea is MYTHOLOGICAL COMMAND AND CONTROL. Mythological command and control has its absolute basis in narrative command and control.
OP Paperclip was about getting the television advertisers to put pressure on the newsmen to get approvals from the sponsors, after they were used to that, then they got approvals from CIANIGGERS who spoke on behalf of the sponsors.
Now the sponsors have CIANIGGERS in their c-suites. Look how many of these (google) threads are hunting for the next big in-q-tel investment.

I thought that McAfee was designing a search engine to compete?
What if we trolled Yahoo! back into power for luls? At least their security is shit and they would not be able to come up with effective AI, etc. etc. While I know that they are globalists we have the upper hand in that their social media / mail / other apps are so shitty. They would not have the influence that Google has on those matters but just for the search engine itself... It cannot be that bad.
Yahoo! was originally THE place to search for things on the internet, back when.

alex jones naming the jew just proves that it is possible...that some people are turning. You have to remember that we are now at 13% or less of MSM usage with republicans.

And I am looking at the banners here on 4ch and also the doubles of best chan, and I find them funny! Now what if those banners were something in the line of "kill all niggers with item X" or something like that. I would not disaprove and I bet a ton of other people wouldnt either.

You forget that the advertisers, but also the manufacturers can hold average societal views and may want to jump on new trends to make use of them. And if the majority of the people wants nigger genocide, then by heck they are going to go into that advertiser mode! Though this is still far off but you got lite, "identitarian" things that you can advertise now for without problem: Fitness and fat shaming, gun right supporting companies, companies who are nationalistic, companies which are old and hold traditional views of all sorts.

Again, the data showed that there is now a huge majority of people who potentially can accept right wing advertising. We dont need to use their frameworks. All we need to do is go around them, make our own, circumvent the jewed national control and just say "fuck you, we will make our own shit" and then you get even more right wing e-ecelebs.

McAfee is an idiot. A charming and hilarious idiot, but absolutely an idiot.

I've been saying this for a long time.

Google is literally, LITERALLY run by communists. They are open about it, they celebrate the birthdays of famous violent commies on the google homepage.

This, they do for sure. I'm installing Brave and setting Yahoo! as my homepage. I've waited too long to do something about all this.

Fuck (((Google)))!

the reason why he is getting kicked off now of jewtube. Was like a week ago, boy are you late to the party.

If they didn't have search, they'd already be done. The other services are inferior to most substitutions.

You wanna take Google down a notch, you have to hit them in search.

DuckDuckGo

What is the alternative? We can't meet up in person, and even if we did the nature of individual cells coming together over the internet is easier so more people are willing to contribute.

it's duck duck goose you goose

Qwant or DuckDuckGo?

i use qwant since it's the default for the Iridium web client

This is a stupid post and you really need to re-think your understanding of 'the web'
You're not even on the internet. You're stuck in the web. There's a reason they call you goyim.
EXPLAIN TO ME THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN INTERNET AND WEB , I MAY CONSIDER YOU READY

This whole canard of individual advertisers giving even a single fuck about the politics of their customers just doesn't fly. It comes from ad networks, and if you look at the internet advertising space it's basically a few bad goys and those who suckle up to goog. So when goog says some shit like 'muh hate speech' the good goys cant help but go with goog.
Right Wing Ad Squads is the purest answer, but not necessarily a solution.

Of course setting up our own manufacturing is much harder than it sounds, but

Make-on-demand companies do exist, such as createspace (for books) and the one for t-shirts. Is it possible these kinds of companies could be used, since they are open to making anything?

Searx is better than both.

Report every single video. Keep them busy.

>1. Brainstorming ways to royally fuck over Google by any means necessary(Ideas for competing platforms/destroying their credibility/etc.)

lol yeah, go right ahead. A few retards on pol think they can take down the biggest corporation in history.

It has terrible branding, and short of places already angry at Google is has no reach.

I was considering this, taking a search engine like duckduckgo and figuring out a way to drive its usage up, but as it stands it is too ugly for normies to use. Google has the feminine "elegant" look to its experience that people like nowadays. I think search engines should be focused on the "packaging" more than the actual searching, like how companies can sell anything as long as the package is pretty.

Another thing is driving female traffic, women flocking to sites generally drives up the value since men follow and if women are doing it it is going to be palatable for most people. This would have to be an iterative process but these two points is how we could at least get into the ring with google.

Honestly it’s too late now ,google is too big and powerful for us to do anything.

(I can't believe it's still up)

The party started too? Damn slide threads

We could really use someone like you then since you seem to know a lot.

I think it is an illusion, why were they so quick to shut down james damore? Because they are building on a flimsy foundation and the bigger they get the more unstable they are.

ITS EASY! You want to destroy Google? Stop using it and tell everyone you know to stop using it.
There are equal alternatives for every service google provides:
google search: duckduckgo
Youtube: Vimeo, hooktube
gmail: protonmail

Just search for "degoogleify" yourself (on duckduckgo!) and follow the instructions.

Yea half started, he is mellow about it and has a jew wife...but he is no fool, he probably saw an upcoming trend and decided to start to get a hold of it, like he did so of other trends in the past. Him going down this route means that there is a high probability that right wing advertisements are possible right now, if someone wanted to make such a thing...probably would mean tons of easy cash for that person if he does it right.

Really good, adding it to the list

Has anyone watched The Circle?
I highly recogment that movie when you feel happy or content with your life and need a reason to be angry again.

create software to run on routers that turn these routers into internet switches. they connect to their neighbors router next door to them. there are enough routers in this country to provide coverage to all major urban areas. this would create a new internet. bridge the gaps to the rural areas by having gateways that run on the existing internet.

give those that turn their routers into switches incentives to participate. they should get paid a percentage of revenue from banner ads that all sites on this new internet are required to have. or if this new internet will cost money for users, give them a percentage of that.

this creates a new internet that is ran for the people by the people. completely decentralized from cooperate and government control. it is a first amendment wet dream

next, bring back the old peer to peer software like Kazaa, but instead of just files, it also contains websites as well. this software could be loaded on every person connected to the internet or just on the router switches. but the more the better. completely decentralized searches.

most importantly, asap, hire as many lawyers and engineers as early as possible to make sure the government and corporate influence doesn't start regulating the shit out of this to destroy it.

Android is an issue

Apple phones are generally too expensive for the many

landlines are cheap
and phones are just a shiny toy governemtns and companies can use to track you and your behavior

>fuck google!!!
>voluntarily using their platform

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

What is even the difference in the interface between Google and DuckDuckGo. I'm not seeing what you see, but then again I might not have those feminine eyes that you might.

>Google has banned Alex Jones
I'm watching infowars on youtube right now. Have they just not banned him yet, or has the meaning of banned changed?

Landlines are not a solution for cell phones
Even if they are shiny toys, they are popular and a massive platform for Google (alphabet). They aslo track and send juicy user info

They also repress left wing channels on YouTube. Secular Talk is one of the most popular political channels on the site, but Google manipulated the algorithm to keep it and other provocative channels further behind in search results. Based Lesbian found a way to somewhat cheat the new algorithm though.

LMAO you guys think you have the power to bring down Google, keep dreaming

the same solution that exists for the banks exists for google, once a multinational gets too large, the people should take it over/turn it public/a utility institution, or it should be broken down into smaller businesses owned by various people around various countries

suck it google and big banks

>1. Brainstorming ways to royally fuck over Google by any means necessary(Ideas for competing platforms/destroying their credibility/etc.)
Lads, money is the name of the game here. You want to fuck Google? A based Georgia lawmaker has shown the way by quadruple fisting Delta over their cheap NRA virtue signalling.
We need to get the cat out of the bag by forcing fucking everybody to take sides in this war. We do this by hitting where it hurts, that is, on the wallet
We need to list Google key partners, companies they make money from. I know, Google is a state-owned enterprise that makes money out of their undue monopoly on online ads, but this is not where all their money comes from. They have contractors, suppliers, business partners. All the ecosystem that feeds Google needs to be clearly identified at the chans level, the word spread, and these companies mercilessly and ruthlessly attacked by anybody not left-wing until they feel the heat.

Google is feeling strong enough to act like Tencent and enforce censorship on behalf of what they believe is the actual power in America. Let's show them that unlike Chinese SOEs, they don't have the institutional support they think they have.

It's not an OP. It's not a Sup Forums prank. It's an all-out war, and we are going to SLAUGHTER them.

Just use vidlii.
vidlii.com

Got a non JewTube link?

I switched to Bing about four months ago. I am considering buying a 4 chan pass, so i don't have to do google captcha. Any thoughts on this?

fuck that merchant
they are all kikes , (((prager))) (((damore)))
((((wojiciki))) (((brin))) (((page))) (((schmidt)))

fucking gas them all

another fucking kike
wew

you should drop everything google related altogether
Bing is ok but Microsoft is still swamp-tier. Use DuckDuckGo or StartPage.
For the browser, Brave is alright

DDG and most "alternative" search engines just pull their results from Google and Bing/Yahoo anyways. None of them implement their own crawlers or algorithms.

Thx, will check the other ones out. Especially the browser.

Well, there are a lot of lawsuits coming about tackling this, but how do we go about finding Google's business partners?

ad nauseam

Advertisements should be for useful things or things that people want. If they weren't so annoying and filled with useless stuff nobody wants, then people wouldn't want to block ads so often. In fact, ads would be a way of learning about new products.

Here's the issue: people are lazy. They want to rely on algorithms rather than rational manpower, which leads to incorrect assumptions. Just having "gun" in the title doesn't mean much. You could be pro or anti gun. But if someone were to watch the video and decide that the content is pro gun, he could for example put in an ad for the new Death Wish remake or gun magazines, or even places to purchase guns. But nobody wants to go around watching videos just to decide which ad goes where. Apparently that would cost too much. It would be a cool job though.

Apple isnt any better as far as having a track record of not being complete asshats. Plus their products just plain suck. There needs to be another alternative.

They have basically just become a surveillance tool and people are actually beginning to turn on fb and google now and their stock prices are slowly beginning to reflect that, so they try to prevent any negative dialogue to stop this.
unfortunately most people are to lazy to use another search engine.

This is also a big issue. I remember trying out some of these and they just weren't effective. Why doesn't someone just make his own algorithm? I wish I knew how these things worked. Maybe some guys from Sup Forums could make a new search engine.

...

We need insiders, people who know the tech ecosystem well, which is not my case.

What was the add on that clicked on every add on a page multiple times and then kills the process immediately after in the background? With enough people this would kill Google, or at the very least make them scramble to find a new way to make money as advertisers get pissed.

>setting Yahoo! as my homepage
They're owned by Verizon, don't trade one Jew for another.

AltaVista went open source and died anyway. But I think Microsoft had already stolen the code by then.

Has anyone looked into the Sherman Anti-trust Act?
Where is all the leftist outrage at the "corporations"?

finally pulled the trigger yesterday. Very easy if you don't use chrome (don't!)
>adnauseam.io/

Also Options>Search>Duckduckgo

Takes 5 minutes. Seriously if you've been putting it off, it's very easy and you will feel 1 million times better.

Also since you're on an image board, you don't want to use a search engine that doesn't allow you to view actual images anymore.

There's only one solution.
theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/aug/30/nationalise-google-facebook-amazon-data-monopoly-platform-public-interest
For the briefest moment in March 2014, Facebook’s dominance looked under threat. Ello, amid much hype, presented itself as the non-corporate alternative to Facebook. According to the manifesto accompanying its public launch, Ello would never sell your data to third parties, rely on advertising to fund its service, or require you to use your real name.

The hype fizzled out as Facebook continued to expand. Yet Ello’s rapid rise and fall is symptomatic of our contemporary digital world and the monopoly-style power accruing to the 21st century’s new “platform” companies, such as Facebook, Google and Amazon. Their business model lets them siphon off revenues and data at an incredible pace, and consolidate themselves as the new masters of the economy. Monday brought another giant leap as Amazon raised the prospect of an international grocery price war by slashing prices on its first day in charge of the organic retailer Whole Foods.

The platform – an infrastructure that connects two or more groups and enables them to interact – is crucial to these companies’ power. None of them focuses on making things in the way that traditional companies once did. Instead, Facebook connects users, advertisers, and developers; Uber, riders and drivers; Amazon, buyers and sellers.

Also, if youtube becomes strictly moderated, don't they become liable for all the copyrighted content illegally posted on their site?

Reaching a critical mass of users is what makes these businesses successful: the more users, the more useful to users – and the more entrenched – they become. Ello’s rapid downfall occurred because it never reached the critical mass of users required to prompt an exodus from Facebook – whose dominance means that even if you’re frustrated by its advertising and tracking of your data, it’s still likely to be your first choice because that’s where everyone is, and that’s the point of a social network. Likewise with Uber: it makes sense for riders and drivers to use the app that connects them with the biggest number of people, regardless of the sexism of Travis Kalanick, the former chief executive, or the ugly ways in which it controls drivers, or the failures of the company to report serious sexual assaults by its drivers.

Network effects generate momentum that not only helps these platforms survive controversy, but makes it incredibly difficult for insurgents to replace them.

As a result, we have witnessed the rise of increasingly formidable platform monopolies. Google, Facebook and Amazon are the most important in the west. (China has its own tech ecosystem.) Google controls search, Facebook rules social media, and Amazon leads in e-commerce. And they are now exerting their power over non-platform companies – a tension likely to be exacerbated in the coming decades. Look at the state of journalism: Google and Facebook rake in record ad revenues through sophisticated algorithms; newspapers and magazines see advertisers flee, mass layoffs, the shuttering of expensive investigative journalism, and the collapse of major print titles like the Independent. A similar phenomenon is happening in retail, with Amazon’s dominance undermining old department stores.

These companies’ power over our reliance on data adds a further twist. Data is quickly becoming the 21st-century version of oil – a resource essential to the entire global economy, and the focus of intense struggle to control it. Platforms, as spaces in which two or more groups interact, provide what is in effect an oil rig for data. Every interaction on a platform becomes another data point that can be captured and fed into an algorithm. In this sense, platforms are the only business model built for a data-centric economy.

More and more companies are coming to realise this. We often think of platforms as a tech-sector phenomenon, but the truth is that they are becoming ubiquitous across the economy. Uber is the most prominent example, turning the staid business of taxis into a trendy platform business. Siemens and GE, two powerhouses of the 20th century, are fighting it out to develop a cloud-based system for manufacturing. Monsanto and John Deere, two established agricultural companies, are trying to figure out how to incorporate platforms into farming and food production.

And this poses problems. At the heart of platform capitalism is a drive to extract more data in order to survive. One way is to get people to stay on your platform longer. Facebook is a master at using all sorts of behavioural techniques to foster addictions to its service: how many of us scroll absentmindedly through Facebook, barely aware of it?

Another way is to expand the apparatus of extraction. This helps to explain why Google, ostensibly a search engine company, is moving into the consumer internet of things (Home/Nest), self-driving cars (Waymo), virtual reality (Daydream/Cardboard), and all sorts of other personal services. Each of these is another rich source of data for the company, and another point of leverage over their competitors.

Others have simply bought up smaller companies: Facebook has swallowed Instagram ($1bn), WhatsApp ($19bn), and Oculus ($2bn), while investing in drone-based internet, e-commerce and payment services. It has even developed a tool that warns when a start-up is becoming popular and a possible threat. Google itself is among the most prolific acquirers of new companies, at some stages purchasing a new venture every week. The picture that emerges is of increasingly sprawling empires designed to vacuum up as much data as possible.

But here we get to the real endgame: artificial intelligence (or, less glamorously, machine learning). Some enjoy speculating about wild futures involving a Terminator-style Skynet, but the more realistic challenges of AI are far closer. In the past few years, every major platform company has turned its focus to investing in this field. As the head of corporate development at Google recently said, “We’re definitely AI first.”

All the dynamics of platforms are amplified once AI enters the equation: the insatiable appetite for data, and the winner-takes-all momentum of network effects. And there is a virtuous cycle here: more data means better machine learning, which means better services and more users, which means more data. Currently Google is using AI to improve its targeted advertising, and Amazon is using AI to improve its highly profitable cloud computing business. As one AI company takes a significant lead over competitors, these dynamics are likely to propel it to an increasingly powerful position.

What’s the answer? We’ve only begun to grasp the problem, but in the past, natural monopolies like utilities and railways that enjoy huge economies of scale and serve the common good have been prime candidates for public ownership. The solution to our newfangled monopoly problem lies in this sort of age-old fix, updated for our digital age. It would mean taking back control over the internet and our digital infrastructure, instead of allowing them to be run in the pursuit of profit and power. Tinkering with minor regulations while AI firms amass power won’t do. If we don’t take over today’s platform monopolies, we risk letting them own and control the basic infrastructure of 21st-century society.
