Race Debate Thread

Lets have a race debate thread. I am familiar with both sides of the arguments but I will start with the facts, I will provide references for any of these claims if necessary. If you have articles which refute these claims please post them:

1) There are IQ differences between races, for example 15-18 points between blacks and whites which has been static for almost 100 years (despite secular gains due to Flynn effect)
2) You can determine what someone's race is with close to 100% accuracy by looking at their genome
3) Races have different phenotypes
4) There is relatively small genetic distances between races -- there is more variation within the race than between races

With all that being said, however, I do not see why deliniating countries based on racial lines is actually a good idea. You could choose any characteristic, say intelligence (which is 80% hereditary) and deliniate a country based on that line. Or you could do it by height, or any other physical characteristic. My point is this: you can determine someone's race by their genetics, of course, but it does not naturally pop up in genetics. You can cluster people based on any characteristic you want, why would race be the best one?

The point is, however, you can't extract very much genetic information from someone based on their race. Yes you are more likely to be more genetically similar to someone of your own race, that's a fact, but not by much. I'm not aware of the exact numbers but its only very slightly preferential. Indeed it's a fact you may be more genetically close to someone of a different race than someone from within your race -- this was shown in a particular study which looked at two white biologists (one was Watson who is a race realist himself) and one korean biologist. The two white guys were closer to the korean than to each other.

Yeah, you know it's not like literally every country in the world was formed based on racial lines. And those who didn't, have to deal with constant ethnic conflicts, separatism and wars.

every country has been formed on geographic lines, not ethnic ones. Of course ethnic and geography are highly correlated. That being said you and I both live in a multi-ethnic country, and although things aren't perfect they're certainly better than some homogeneous countries (Africa, for example).

Because something tells me that they became successful only when they were Mono-ethnic, and things started to become "not perfect" once because they turned Multi-ethnic. I'm aware of this infographic, but it doesn't refute any of my claims. Again, so you can find race in genetics -- that's abundantly obvious. And why should we deliniate country lines based on this though?

OK, I am aware of that, and although I'm not an expert I could concede that although the genetic distance is small that's not representative of what matters. But regardless my point comes back: you could find genetically similar people and create a country based on this instead of purely through racial lines

races are the product of evolution, different groups of people living in different places and adapting to those places
then it becomes evident that delineating countries (which are geographic regions) on racial lines makes more sense

What you may not realize is the fact that during these 5 or more years...we have recycled this crap endlessly, to thousands of people...who then recycled it to thousands more. Racial realism has a lot of interaction with many real world problems, like water shortages, industry and science. Many of them, and things like the negro fall short of all of these categories.
