Why do people say Boku no Hero Academia is better than Naruto even as fights go? I do admit Deku vs Todoroki fight was pretty based, but it was short and the ending was kinda disappointing, what's the point of losing to todoroki if he's just going to job/throw in his fight agaisn't bakugou?
Here are Naruto moments much better than anything from MHA:
Hum,no? MHA characters are much more ''anime'' like so it might be easier to like them
Christopher Diaz
You're not wrong, but you're wrong. Naruto had some great fight scenes.
If we're going to be honest with ourselves, Bleach and One Piece have had some killer fight scenes too.
Boku no Hero Academia is just a better show at this point. It might have something to do with how our tastes are these days or that we're early in the series.
Naruto, Bleach, etc suffered with the extreme length of the them, making the later story arcs convoluted and shitty, regardless of the technical execution of the fights.
All of that plays into how you FEEL about the fight scene and how much you enjoy it.
Caleb Martinez
But does having a shitty arc or ending make the first arcs bad? There's nothing in MHA that I haven't seen before
Connor Morales
>what's the point of losing to todoroki if he's just going to job/throw in his fight agaisn't bakugou? It shows that character's won't change immediately but gradually when learning new things.
Oliver Thompson
No the girls are just more interesting and cuter. It's fairly straightforward.
Gabriel Barnes
honestly, a lot of battle shounen make fights drag on for too long. in real life, fights don't last forever. in bnha the fight against stain lasts 10 minutes in-universe and it only takes 3 episodes -- and that's one of the longer fights in the anime thus far. in addition, they typically don't spend time saying "the reason i got the upper hand there was because of x and y plan!" instead opting for internal monologues or things during fights. i think the fights in bnha are mostly concise; their brevity is a strength honestly.
Daniel Hughes
You have to consider the fact that this anime hasn't been promised a seed like Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, etc. where they can literally prolong a single fight for 5-7 episodes and continue to do that yet not have the story progress until maybe 10+ episodes or so.
You also have to consider that because the anime is only seasonal, they have to make a good impression with these fights and entice viewers and garner fans. Fact of the matter is, despite how much fighting and cool scenes these other big anime's have done, Boku No Hero has done a tremendously great job of story, animation, and background with how much time they're given and how fast they've progressed through the manga.
The comparison between these titan-titled anime's to one that's just picking up incredible steam—possibly more than the last couples of anime's—is undeniably impressive. Sure, not everyone is going to like it because everyone has their own taste, but you really can't deny how well this anime has done for just 20+ episodes.
Kevin Carter
reminder that the BNHA cast is the worst cast in shounen
Levi Ward
1. No. The arcs are fine. 2. Just because you've seen it before, doesn't BNHA isn't going it better. Because frankly, we've all probably seen it but I feel they've done it so much better.
Nathan Long
I was under the impression that people on watched this for the girls?
Sebastian Sanders
this execution is a pretty critical component of anything, and can make or break a show.
Cooper Bell
I hope not because none of them are particularly good
Cameron Roberts
I mainly watch it to see Allmight deflate and spew blood out his mouth. It's retarded, but that plus Deku's reaction to it never fails to make me laugh.
Nolan Lewis
>what's the point of losing to todoroki if he's just going to job/throw in his fight agaisn't bakugou? Talk no justu doesn't work here. Todoroki needed time to think
Leo Howard
>what's the point of losing to todoroki if he's just going to job/throw in his fight agaisn't bakugou?
To show that things just don't heal because some person said how to get over it. He wouldn't continue using his fire power unless he bonded with his mom
Samuel Nguyen
What made Naruto become a non-stopping/every week show from the get-go? Were the investors that saw gold or some shit?
Jayden Bailey
Hunter x Hunter >>> FMAB >>>>>> MHA > nardo

That picture just reminded me how much I hate all of the girls in MHA

You have extremely shit taste.

You have extremely good taste.

shippuden started well sakura and chiyo vs sasori
i could continue on
imo naruto went to shit when they took the dragon ball route they kept using power up to defeat opponent instead of using their brain or going 2v1 3v1 etc
that's why hunter x hunter jojo one piece boku no hero academia got better fight scene
nobody give a fuck about some armor plot char getting buffed beyond ridiculous
look at sasuke getting into susano like a power ranger into his mega zord this is stupid
people's want to see the struggle the thrill the hype
introduce the strongest char early show his strengh and never go beyond their power whitebeard from ONE PIECE all might from BNHA netero from HXH
they did it right and people are still following those after hiatus and shit bleach faild because of this boruto is on the same pass dragon ball is making it only because of stuborn fanbase

>pander to waifufags >all your waifu are mediocre
Parker Peterson
No competition, aimed at children that don't know any better.
William Gutierrez
ESL?
Matthew Fisher
Naruto was not that child friendly in the beginning,MHA is clearly pandering to that demographic though
William Torres
The girls are cuter. Especially Uraraka.
Noah Perez
so this is autism
Jaxon Howard
But the 3rd hokage and itachi were already god mode...
Josiah Miller
The first arc, the Zubola arc, was actually pretty decent and hooked a lot of people. As far as my decaying mind can remember from those days.

Its all relative honestly. Size difference is hard to convey sometimes without proper sources.

>tfw we live in a world where not only naruto is no longer banned on Sup Forums
Juan Reyes
Fuck, I fucked up what I was trying to greentext >not only isn't banned anymore, but other anons claim it's good, which may cause problems on unsuspecting anons.
Leo Howard
I like the fact they are more focused on side characters than Naruto.
Sure Naruto had great side characters, Lee, Shikamaru, Negi, Kakashi, Gai, etc. but they didn't really use them much especially in later chapters when it was all about Sasuke and Naruto
Naruto is about Naruto, Boku no Hero Academia is about, well, the academia. Not just Deku and Bakugo but also the arcs of Ochako, Froppy, Shogo, Iida, Grape, Yaoyorouzu, All Might. Even the fucking villains like Shiggy gets their own character arcs. When Deku came to UA there's really isn't a completely Deku-focused arc after it even Stain and AfO's arc were more Iida's and Bakugo's arc's respectively. It is to Naruto what One Piece is to Dragon Ball, whereas one introduced these concepts but was a bit clumsy with them the latter polishes them.
Now lets see if the series can hold on to that quality (BHA hasn't passed the chapters when Naruto truly turned to shit)
Luke Parker
So you not only fuck up your own shitpost, but in doing so displayed how newfag you are to try and fit in.
Lucas Cox
This picture just reminded me how much I love all the girls in MHA
James Roberts
There has never been a female character in this series I didn't like. Even Sirius is perfection, and she was a filter character.
Carson Campbell
back to gaia
Liam Thomas
BNHA is inferior to naruto. Naruto had alot of potential. Literally everything was laid out for kishi by the first arc. However he decided to be retarded. Bnha does alot of stuff naruto should have done but ultimately does not deliver on the hype. Something kishi seemed to sacrifice good writing for. This and many other reasons is why Bnha will NEVER outrank naruto or bleach in sales.
Gabriel Gonzalez
I love this artist’s style. Unique but not tumblr-tier bullshit
Michael Turner
Part I Naruto >>> BnHA Hell even all of Pre-War Arc Naruto is >>> BnHA
Juan Nelson
Decided to be retarded? The show is 15 years old and it's still going(boruto)
Elijah Johnson
>filter character She can filter out bad sounds because of her good-ear quirk, clever. I thought you meant filler. Of course you you meant filter, and not filler. Clever user.
Anthony Morales
They were testing all sorts of anime out to western audience
Naruto Bleach Kekkaishi Inuyasha One piece Beyblade Ghost in the shell Bepop Big O Death note Etc etc
I think the only anime that flopped in the west was one piece. Even digimon and beyblade did well
Hudson Watson
Reminds me of IG's Dead Leaves
Parker Cruz
combination of Toei and 4kids killed it
Carter Nguyen
What do you mean by turning to shit?Like racking up amazing sales and audiences both in manga and tv?
Christian James
It’s a different time, user. The era of Saturday/Sunday morning television has passed
William Reed
The west's view on pirate themed show is set in stone to be more romantic, and gritty.
Wyatt Sanchez
Digimon had more sales and was more popular than 90% of what you put in the list
Christopher Wood
I agree. Hori has a way with consistently making 10/10 girls.
Tyler Martin
no like taking all that was good about the series and throwing it into the garbage.
The people who made Naruto get a lot of money were like the people that made the Star Wars prequels get a lot of money, hoping the new shit would rekindle the love for the old (then have their soul crushed when it doesn't).
Evan Nelson
Every fucking girl in this series has man hands. It's gross.
John Turner
Now I have a thing for dragons. I blame hori!
Carter Harris
Like what? Were you really expecting a show with 700 episodes to have no progress whatsoever? The powerlevels make sense. Naruto sage mode is pretty credible,Naruto nine-taios mode was expected since the beginning. The susanoo is the only thing that you could call absurd but it's still in the realm of possibilities.
Luis Wilson
>"I think Naruto is better than BNHA" >"I've compiled these clips to prove it" >literally every clip is an action scene >only the first two have any real hype or weight behind them >all of them are littered with constant pace-breakers for exposition where the visual quality drops >frequent flux in visual quality in general >team sasuke vs KB is especially bad; an overly long blowout between unlikable, cliche characters
BNHA isn't a masterpiece. It even does some of the things I list above and probably won't ever completely escape bad shounen tropes. There's a reason why people like the show, though, and it isn't for bloated fight scenes with trainwreck pacing, jarring quality changes and no narrative weight. It's for the complete opposite.
Samuel Ortiz
i would like to see a manga in this style
Nicholas Morales
>comparing BnHA to Naruto Why is this bad? Because I can name more fights that Naruto did WRONG than right. Naruto took a million shots at trying to get a good fight that it's reasonable that it hit the mark once or twice right? But for BnHA they're on the money 100% of the time. And it's because Horikoshi understands what a fight needs to be/mean. He knows that dragging out a fight is ridiculous, go further ahead with the manga if you want to understand what I'm talking about. Very few fights last more than a chapter, they're short and straight to the point. The only fights that last are because the characters are purposefully prolonging the fight, as seen with Stain. More importantly every fight ensures character development is happening. The same can't be said of every fight that happens in Naruto.
Let's also not forget how shafted all the side characters got in Naruto and pray it never happens to BnHA
Noah Evans
>pirate rap
John Kelly
Unf
William Bailey
No, when the power levels escalated to the point where they reached Dragonball level, the canon stuff started to feel like filler, an entire arc focused on characters who we barely care about fighting characters who we've never met before and are already dead, killing off the main villain with an asspull and making the final boss someone who was barely foreshadowed and had no personality, and retroactively ruining all of the good moments from earlier in the series by saying that free will basically doesn't exist and everything that happened was the work of that one Akatsuki member who you forgot about. But it printed a lot of shekels, and since we all know that profitability is the sole indicator of quality, I guess late game Naruto actually wasn't shit.
Joshua Moore
>it makes sense for a story about an underdog ninja becoming a god and having Super Sayian battles because of his superior genes
no just no I liked Naruto, but it was probably the biggest betrayal in anime/manga history.
Blake White
Deku vs Todoroki was legitimately boring in the anime, it was Deku flicking his finger at ice waves for over 5 minutes. All Might vs Noumu was a much better fight, quick and to the point, and featuring a character we've grown to care about over an entire season instead of some edgy faggot who got an episode of character development in the middle of a tournament arc.
Camden Green
Dreamin', don't give it give it up give it up give it up give it up give it NO!
Nathaniel Powell
The comple lack of her lewds is a fucking crime
Ian Cook
I was able to connect more with naruto then with deku. Naruto was a loser with no friends in the beginning (before they retconned everything) and didn't even have a harem. Hell even his crush didn't like him. No one thought he was cool and even choji made fun of him. All his fights where he did cool shit was never in front of the asshole who looked down on him. I remember how sad I was that sasuke wasn't there to see the neji fight. Naruto also managed to squeeze one through till the very end. And it wasn't that ridiculous to wear a kid could go and say "asspull". Now this is pre timeskip naruto of course. Bnha on the other hand is difficult for me. I can't relate to deku at all. He's a loser yes, but only bakugo seemed to be the one that bothered him. He also gets girls. Deku also has it much easier. Unfortunately he loses for some reason. I love AM and I was very disappointed when I realized he was gonna become more luke nana (another loser)
Overall there are some things I love from naruto that Bnha doesn't have and vice versa. I do believe howevr Bnha will decline in quality like naruto and bleach. It's already shown signs of stupid retarded nonsense.
Kayden Edwards
Naruto had flashier fight scenes but BHA has more emotional depth
Ryan Ross
All Might vs Noumu was legitimately boring in the anime, it was All Might punching an anthropomorphic bara penguin for 5 minutes. Deku vs Todoroki was a much better fight, exciting and meaningful, and featuring a character we've grown to care about over the an entire tournament arc instead of a homunculus with no personality or independent thought who was literally just created for that one fight, both in and out of universe.
Ayden Moore
>signs of stupid retarded nonsense AKA the entire provisional license arc I wipe that from my memory on a regular basis, contributed literally nothing.
Daniel Smith
>Unfortunately he loses for some reason he beat stain with todo and iida also he deafeat muscular on his own, he lose to bakugou cause plot armor
Henry Stewart
Are you retarded?Do ninjas have chakra in real life? Do martial arts fighters have KI in real life? Settle down bitch, you're looking for straws
Cameron Edwards
Naruto is better than deku Ochako is better than sakura Tsuyu is better than hinata Sasuke is better than bakugo Kakashi is better than aizawa All might is better than jiraiya Madara is better than AFO Orochimaru of the sound is better than AFO
Furthermore Bnha doesn't have the obligatory shikamaru character but that is to be expected
For a foolish authour cannot write great keikakus
Carter Campbell
>chakra >KI i mean those migth be real if you belive in that kinda crap
Samuel Thomas
Not trying to be a contrarian but everything powerlevel wise and story wise was wonky but still good and workable until the 4th ninja world war arc. That arc alone felt like a punch to the gut
Alexander Hughes
>Implying the Doc won’t be a keikaku moment
Isaiah Allen
Jiraya is better than All might...Jiraya already knew naruto was the 4th hokage son and refused to train him because he felt bad for not being there the day Naruto's dad died. This was not clear because people back them had no clue about naruto's parentage.
Henry Richardson
God I still love that and the GT rap.
Christian Reed
Bakushit getting hit by his own bitch was the best anime moment.
Joshua Cox
Does bnha have any characters that are just amazing? Like guys who other weebs or even people who don't watch anime will recognize? I mean naruto had sasuke which became a meme. He's the #1 edgy guy. He'll always be memorable. The only guy I can think of in bnha is All might.
Kevin Adams
Jiraiyas good but AM is just better. At least AM has never been focus of absolutley boring arcs such as the search for a 5th hokage arc where tsunade was introduced. Also jiraiya never did finish his beef with his rival.
