If Kadokawa managed to get away from something this big, then they will be away to get away from doing this to smaller franchises. And they would do it with glee
Everything under Kadokawa will suffer the same fate and no one would be able to notice their small voices.
Stay strong, everyone. Stay strong for the children.
I hope 2ch and 2chan can keep the pressure on these fuckers until they reconsider, until then contact the Agency for Cultural Affairs about Promoting the Media Arts other than Films inquiry.bunka.go.jp/SelectInquiries.aspx
Alexander Perez
CEO of TV Tokyo gave his words that he'll try to talk with the comitee to meet with the expectations of the fans.
A tiny sliver of hope in this falling world
Jayden Edwards
What is the issue here? That the 2nd season got a new director?
Joseph Rivera
That's good, and historic.
No, that it has no director and no plans to even be produced as continuation of season 1, rather than some bullshit new anime based on Kemono Friends Pavilion.
Henry Robinson
So they're not making a sequel to your show? Suck it up.
Jason Turner
Get the fuck back to your LWA threads, nigger.
Michael Lopez
No. They fired the original director, staff, and VAs so they can monopolize all profit and public recognition
Fans are outrage and they are grasping at straws to justify their greed. Which, by the way, made things worse
Nissin, JRA, and Nico Nico turned against them after saying that Tatsuki's projects were made without permission.
Now, they are blaming Mine and fans were outraged again. KADOKAWAの企業体質 is trending on jp twitter
It is coming. It is coming under a different direction
Ian Martinez
I wish it were that simple.
Ian Cook
Watching your despair makes me happy.
James Carter
Watching cute bitter anons like you experience shadenfreude makes me happy
Hudson Jackson
That makes me happy too.
Ian Bailey
Basically they made themselves a brand new scandal by being idiots, yeah?
I'm afraid this shit happens all the time in corporations in every industry though. Good luck with your support spampaign.
Asher Cruz
Reminder that Kemono Friends is the first anime to ruin the entire industry without spending a dime It is the first anime to unite everyone in East Asia It is the first anime to stand up against a corporate giant
If Kemono Friends became the first anime in history to break Kadokawa's will, the threads of fate will break and anything can happen
Jaxon Lee
If someone told us last year that a cheap 3dcg would do this, I would have a good laugh.
Nolan Nguyen
>I'm afraid this shit happens all the time in corporations lul You are not even worthy of being called a template
Lincoln Hernandez
That's the thing, this is such an extreme version of a common scenario that it's causing a lot of people to finally stand up and call bullshit on the whole thing. It probably won't change anything, but it's certainly putting out a message.
Ayden Rodriguez
Stop spamming the board with your garbage.
John Nguyen
They already had all the profit.
>Everything under Kadokawa will suffer the same fate and no one would be able to notice their small voices. No, it won't. It looks more and more like a fuck up by Yaoyoruzu, who seemingly saw free rights of distribution as part of their creative freedom.
Bentley Williams
>It probably won't change anything Well Kadokawa's offices might see some new fresh faces after this. I'm sure somebody right now is praising KF for creating a work opportunity for them.
Eli Stewart
Template 55
Logan Anderson
How have you not gotten banned for spamming yet?
Ian Clark
>free rights of distribution but what did they distribute? 12.1? the horse crossover? if anything, theese little things will make anyone who stumbles upon them want more, and ultimately they'll end up watching the show. no wrong was done.
William Brooks
I wonder all of this shitstorm is just a 5D-hupercube-poker-chess plan of someone inside Kado in order to change it's structure
Nolan Turner
Just PR speech, nothing new.
Kevin Russell
...
Austin Bailey
Just let him. Posting that won't bring back the director.
Jeremiah Allen
This is the same guy who interrupted the news about North Korean missle threat just to air KF undelayed.
Daniel Taylor
I think lwa fans can sympathise a bit though so why drag them into this?
Andrew Barnes
I think it was 12.1. The horse crossover was allowed by Kadokawa.
> no wrong was done. I think CR didn't have the rights for 12.1, it also causes issues for multiple members of the committee if the studio just decides to do whatever they want.
Kadokawa likely tried to negotiate with them but they probably didn't want to have to go through the proper channels. It was likely an situation with a young studio overestimated their postion and Kadokawa being forced to do a powerplay.
Christopher Jones
He just said: " It's Committee fault, not us. We just air the show, don't blame us"
Hunter Robinson
Come on, shill. We know that's an extremely stupid reason to fire someone.
Luke Wood
sounds iffy. i aint gonna believe ya until i see official's words on >the studio just decides to do whatever they want and >they probably didn't want to [...] go through the proper channels
Parker Williams
Kadokawa is now blaming Mine, fucking Mine, for everything that has happened.
My fucking sides!
Jose Ortiz
TVTokyo's president is aware of 12.1 and mentions it in a press conference back in April.
Mentions Mine being jealous of Tatsuki's success with the IP and wanted to take the reign back on it, and Kadokawa being helpless in trying to control his jealousy.
Julian Murphy
don't underestimate the stupidity and gullibility of the mob user, best we can do is fact check things before we repeat them.
Hudson Cooper
This sounds like complete bullshit.
Anthony Long
Because that's not Kadokawa the source for that rumor is the Daily News Online website, it's likely just clickbait.
Aiden Russell
Someone needs to tell that oversized rat that her ugly kids wouldn't be able to fit in her stupid little pouch.
Juan Nguyen
That's bullshit and I don't believe it.
Kayden Moore
Rude. Thylacine belongs to Marsupialia not Rodentia. She's closer to kangaroos than rats
Logan Roberts
It makes no difference in the end. Her entire dumb species is extinct. She'll never have kids. She's fated to live a cold, lonely existence.
Jacob Kelly
>She'll never have kids. why not?
Kevin Morgan
God I hope so. It's so simple and all I want. There are very few things I feel this strongly about
John Diaz
Her filthy species is extinct and there are only female friends. And even if that wasn't the case, no other animal in their right mind would want to father that things filthy babies.
Adam Robinson
>EX
Jaxson Cooper
bullying is againt the law. also, before the park staff found sandstar, the park was research grounds for attempts to bring extinct species back.
James Reed
EX means the species is dead and cannot bring itself back on it's own, only humans can. which, if you remember the lore, was the first reason the park was established. plus, that EX doesnt mean shit when she has a physical form now.
Jordan Gonzalez
Lol
Goodsmile taking cancellation on KF figures
Evan Smith
Well it's a good thing there are plenty of humans around to continue said research....oh wait.
Justin Jackson
What I don't get is, if they were planning to wrest the series away, wouldn't it have been better to do AFTER the second has come out? You know, after people have been sated with a new batch of episodes and the runway hit has been effectively established as a franchise that isn't going away anywhere soon? It's not like people wouldn't expect another one, and for it to not be as good as S1 or the theoretical S2, and might be more willing to give any new changes a chance. I think people would be more willing to give a more kid-centered "spinoff" a chance by then.
But here, they've pretty much pulled the fucking plug on the entire thing, and for reasons so transparent, even a child could see.
And while the typical "Find X guy, sacrafice him and make false promises isn't great" instead, they're just doubling down as hard as possible. "No, it was the director's fault! He didn't have permission!" That isn't true, he did. "Get the voice actresses! Make them apologize for the mess at the program! That'll smooth things over!" We all know that these new voice actors are being forced into doing it. "I-i-i-it's Mine's fault! He was jealous, and we had to do something about it!" We know he's not that much of a bitch nigga.
I mean, we all know the stories behind the stuffiness and stubbornness of the Japanese Corporate World, but it just baffles my mind that you get a blunder on this level. The buckets, the buckets with a picture of a Friend and the Japari symbol were flying off the shelves. It's hard to imagine what KF material WOULDN'T sell. But I guess since the golden goose didn't make platinum, it was time to kill it.
Nobody believes it. The guy has been in work for like what, 20 years by now, has done plenty of literal "WHO?" series, and makes references to plenty of shows only people his age would actually remember. People have daily been acknowledging his work put into the series on twitter. What exactly could he feel jelly about?
Jack Anderson
pray for kemonofriends
Leo Wilson
>lol Please don't write like a retard.
John Clark
I cant even imagine the grinning face of the bucket guy right now
Charles Nelson
I only expected 2 seasons since the studio wants to do original works. Can't do KF forever.
what isn't talked about is exactly what happened in regards to the contract that Tatsuki supposedly had issues with. It was either/ a mixture of the following: A. a very bad contract made by kodakawa B. contract that just wasn't compatible between the two parties' visions of the show C. Tatsuki being overconfident and pushing for more control/power over the series than what kodakawa wanted
add into the mixture a dose of stubborn japanese company honor culture 「上司より先に帰るのは絶対にだめ!」 and general incompetent and boom we have a clusterfuck situation
so yeah, i'm under the assumption that it can't be pinpointed to one distinct event, we just got unlucky and the 10 events that were required for this shit to have happened, did in fact happen
Luis Perez
>Tatsuki let's repeat
Tatsuki != Yaoyorozu
Eli Cook
...
Levi Stewart
Extinction of the Thylacine was a real pity. The Australians have very strict pet laws to protect their native fauna. I imagine that Thylacines would have been a great replacement doggo. Adds some variety too.
Brody Jones
just wake up, did we win yet?
Owen Richardson
help translate these 、「既に2作目の発表をさせていただいているが、ファンの皆さんと思いは同じ。
(His) second work has been announced; however, I share the same sentiments as the fans.
何とか将来、第2弾が実現できてファンの皆さんに喜んでいただけるような努力を惜しまないつもり I will spare no effort in the effort to somehow insure that second (installment=第2弾?)'s result will make all the fans happy in the future.
Zachary Stewart
Lastest news come from Tokyo TV CEO saying that he'll try to make S2 meet up with the fan's demands
Hopefully it means that he understands Tatsuki's value to the project
Zachary Martin
Has Yaoyorozu made a statement yet? Do you think they will explain the real reason Kemono Friends died?
Lincoln Gray
They won't say anything unless Kadokawa says they're back in. If they don't say they're back, then that's it, they won't say anything at all.
Josiah Robinson
Yeh, suck it up. Be happy you're eve getting a "sequel".
Jordan Williams
you'll never know the real reason why it died. no matter what happened, it will always make the bigger company look retarded for fucking up so badly. they'll do everything to prevent that from happening.
with that said, it probably will leak out because this entire thing has been comically bad for kadokawa
Sadly none of them offer any more interesting information than kemono-friendsch.
Jacob Phillips
That speech confirm Tatsuki is not going back, but they will try to make S2 good (so the fans will forget Tatsuki).
Aiden Adams
>be happy about yet another generic show
Liam King
Unfortunate truth.
Though honesty? Honestly. If this does indeed firmly end with NO YAOYOROZU then...fine. But don't give me a second season. Make your whatever animes, make your merch, make your games. I disavow myself from the franchise. Enjoy comparatively making pennies off of kids' moms and dads.
Ayden Walker
>Voice actors
Wait. what? Why?
Gavin Allen
so basically by saying he'll try to make it good, it confirms it will be shit
Logan Hernandez
KF has done so many impossible feats. I refuse to believe that Kadokawa would be the one to dictate the limit of its miracles
Cameron Kelly
Not sure about all of them/rumor but last I heard it was speculated that a few of the seiyuu (like Fennec, Arai, and I think Emperor) were part of the company that Yaoyorozu is part of so they're likely out.
Aaron Russell
Great. This means its all over. These weasels aren't bringing back Tatsuki.
Worst timeline. I wish I never woke up
Jonathan Carter
how do you get the definitive reading out of it. that's completely speculatory
Nolan Perry
They underrated KF too much, and they think they can recreate the miracle by themselves.
Logan Jackson
which is absurd considering it was already doomed to failure and let's be honest, so was the anime
Cooper Hill
I highly doubt that. Most voice actors belong to an agency or are freelance. I've never heard of a voice actor belonging to a animation company.
Dominic Bailey
Ok, so what the real reason Kadokawa pull this stunt Most likely >Kadokawa want full control over the series and Yaoyorozu won't bend over >Kadokawa go full Jewish and give a shit deal to Yaoyorozu >Yaoyorozu have ideas for S2 that Kadokawa view as risky and they both pull out Unlikely >Mine jealousy of Tatsuki and tried to get rid of him >Yaoyorozu violated the contract and they refuse to sign up again >It's just a huge Halloween trick
Xavier Taylor
Just something or the other was the name. I'm not supporting or denying the claim, just playing parrot.
Logan Murphy
I fucked up a little. It should be "the second season has been announced," not "His second work has been announced"
As in, what I initially wrote gives a completely wrong read of it: "he's already gotten over this, he's started a second project on his own, HOWEVER" type of meaning is wrong.
pretty much
second season announced, i feel the same as fans. i will (somehow) do whatever I can to make sure the second season makes all the fans happy
Assume the (somehow) means whatever you want it to mean. For example, delude yourself into thinking it means he's going to try to get Tatsuk back, if you want to be happy for now
Jose Turner
Yaoyorozu is in Just Production which those VA are from.
Michael Kelly
It's just a rumor from an anonymous source supposedly involved in the animation process though, not an official statement. Still, it could be spread by Kadokawa unofficially.
Although I'd find that odd. Why would they paint Mine negatively (outright calling him "jealous" even and apparently forcing Kadokawa to move against their wishes) rather than Tatsuki (They could easily say he wanted to take over the franchise and not collaborate with Mine anymore).
Hudson Ross
Casual "dodging the topic" speech, blame the Committee but confirm that they don't show any effort to go against it, just casually "we are innocent". Then confirm they will make S2 good but don't mention Tatsuki. I've seen too much speech like this.
Justin Watson
It's just too dumb. Literally everyone loses.
Juan Thomas
They just announced more Kemono Friends related events in that live show with the apology. It doesn't seem like Just Pro is out.
Daniel Taylor
whatever statements they give off to the public are going to be meaningless no matter their intentions.
they have to be vague and completely ambiguous, otherwise they could be acting out of line and unintentionally fuck over a different party.
you shouldn't have expected a definitive response including Tatsuki in here. that will/has been already been discussed behind the curtains, and once that's done, we'll get complete closure to this entire event in a week or so
Bentley Young
As a Nipponese, the reaction to this is beyond retarded.People are acting like Fuji is erupting.
I really do not know what is the common factor of obsssive fanbases like GuP,Kancolle,Touhou and idol shit ASIDE lacking male characters.
Caleb Moore
Because that would be far too obvious. This is obvious too but it at least allows them to spread suspicion. Dividing the group rallying against you is an extremely strong and proven tactic.
Robert Cruz
You don't know why people have fun?
Joshua James
Really? You can't tell what all those have in common besides all female cast? It's one part sandbox world and one part large cast of diverse characters.
Dylan Clark
There's a whole layer of reality you're missing out, and you're proud of it.
