China is still 99% poor. Don't fall for the retarded lie that China has gotten most people out of poverty. This is one again China playing the system to their advantage rather than actually fixing the problem.

Long answer is, most people in China are still poor as fuck. But they earn 0.1% more than the official poverty line so they're not considered living in poverty. But earning a penny extra a week doesn't take you from being poor to being well off, it just makes the statistics look better.

Food is a problem, but if you go to eat in hotels like I normally do I have had some of the best meals ever both Chinese and Western food for similar prices to that of eating out in the west (not sweden mind you your prices are crazy)
