How poor and crime ridden is Mexico in reality? It seems like they're far from the worst latino country

Government corruption

It’s pretty bad. It’s all that Aztec blood in them. Fucking awful people, just as bad as niggers.

depends on the area

some states are self ran by armed militias, other areas are ran by narco. then there's several "safe havens" in cities like merida where it's pretty much normal life

The sheer amount of mexicans living in the US should give you a little insight...

>some states are self ran by armed militias, other areas are ran by narco. then there's several "safe havens" in cities like merida where it's pretty much normal life

Could you point out which ones belong to said categories? I assume the ones bordering the US are the worst?

So are you saying that the government has lost control in several areas? Are private militias legal in Mexico?

ive been to most south american countries and the locals all fucking hate mexicans. im not even larping. mexico is pretty bad. i thought i was gonna get killed in mexico city at the airport one time.

Well... the US are one of the wealthiest and most prosperous countries in the world. If 2nd world Eastern European countries would border the US, those people would migrate as well

Why?

Which South American country was the comfiest?

different cities and municipalities fall in that category. Michoacan, Sinaloa, Guerrero. those are hot spots where shit happens all the time. it's usually the areas where there's fields for drug harvesting

Is their chance that this will ever get sorted out?

Really makes you think if you reflect that a lot of drug using degenerates in the US are also Democrat voting lefties

argentina, uruguay and even chile...

but we are doomed, blacks are EVERYWHERE now.

it's hard to tell. declaring a drug war was the worst thing that has happened to this country. unfortunately we live under the US, so until they legalize drugs, Mexico won't follow. it's not the only solution, but it's a step forward I guess. there's a lot of corruption in government so we have to take care of that also

I went with the company I work with to Mexico D.F., Ciudad Juarez and Guadalajara.
It's really surprising how beautiful some places can be and how dangerous it can be to go from one and the other because all of the things in between.
It was very difficult to do business there because they're very protectionist which is something I admire, but they received us really well in most of the places.
The worst latino country is Honduras or El Salvador

>blacks are EVERYWHERE now

Is it like this street in Brussels?

Its horrible in some areas and safe in others.

I went to Juarez once as a co-op organization to help reduce violent crime. When I got there, some cartels already kidnapped and killed some of the volunteers and destroyed the research in progress had to help identify violent criminals and their communication web.
We didnt spend a week before abandoning the whole thing.

It depends on location. If you are interested in a particular area look it up. Its not just towns or cities either you want to look at neighborhoods and then consider their proximity to other locations so that you will have an understanding of where gangs and criminals move around. People book hotels in nice lovely neighborhoods and wonder why they get mugged or worse oh look its because the area is literally 10 blocks away from a community that looks worse than anything you will see in Escape From New York.

colombia was able to pull out of the narco state and at least keep it under control.

so dont put all the blame on USA. thats the easy excuse.

But are things safe if you're not involved with cartels and keep a long distance? Or do they just kill at random like in the Brazilian favela's?

While you're in the safe spots it's safe. You can go to Costco and nobody will stab you on the back while you're trying to get to your car.
The problem is moving from there to another area (we were told not to stop at redlights in certain places, we were given false addresses to check if we were not from a cartel trying to loot a warehouse, etc). There are precautions you need to take if you're from the outside which I'm pretty much is the same case for many of european countries now.

I never blamed the US. I said mexico won't change its drug policy until america does.and if you read my post I explicitly said corruption is the big problem right now. that's up to us to change. we're heading for the biggest election yet so who know what will happen in the following months

unless you're doing shady shit you should be fine. I live in yucatan so I can't say much about cartels or violence. it's a really safe state where I live

Let's not forget that murica is Mexica clay.

YES! many places are taken.

>thought i was gonna get killed in mexico city at the airport one time.
Damn shame you didn't.

Make a map

>colombia was able to pull out of the narco state
Contrary to now that the FARC has guaranteed seats on their parlament?

I have a friend that drove all the way from Connecticut to Darien gap on motorcycle, guess where he got robbed by cops? That's right it was in costa pobre.

This is why Americans don’t like you, by the way.

Thanks for the input mohammed, now get back to the raping on that peace truck.

Are there really parts worse than that movie?

there are several ones on google, but I believe they are outdated. it's kind of hard to know if you don't live specifically in those areas who's running the show

Poor Coast?

I live in the best part of Mexico, for me southerners are like from another country.

No narco gunfights, no kidnapings. My main concern are meth users (a pandemia really).. they will steal your shit.

Also cops are really crooked... like in the rest of the country.

fpbp

How poor? varies a lot not only by state, but city by city and sometimes block by block. Mexico city for example has one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the world, next to a literal dumpsite (pic related). If you have money you can have a better life overall in Mexico than anywhere in Europe or the USA. Narcos usually kill each other, they hardly do random violence shit, even the recent bomb at a ferry was payback against the mayor and the owner of the ferry company.

Why don't they just throw tomatoes over that wall?

sorry Hermosillo bro, but as your neighbor, (Chih here) I know for a fact right now your city has a growth spur due to money laundry, that's how we were in the 90s and early 2000s. We had almost no violence in Chih city up until 2008. If the trend goes on, your city will have a huge violence problem either when you get a governor from a different party or when el pejendejo wins...

dunno I don't live in CDMX.

I always wanted to visit because my money will go far as fuck, and there are some beautiful places I want to see like acapulco, tampico, merida but then I hear about gringos being kidnapped and extorted...fuck that. Also I have no problem with mestizos but you guys have these evil looking dark indios, the skinny ones with sharp features not the chubby asian looking ones, who seem to be bad news every time I've met one.

It's alright, but I live in Guadalajara where a lot of European influence took over the place, so take that as you will.

Agreed, The people are decent but the politicians in power are fucking corrupt as shit, traveled southern Mexico around Oaxaca, Vera Cruz, and Tabasco for several months.
Based people steeped in tradition with shit politicians that they obviously fear.

Can any mexibros estimate how much in US dollars it would take per month to live at a Trump like level?
Also, can you stop being Cuckbois fans? Thanks.

I worked in Mexico for a few years. The difference in rural places (or small cities) between rich and poor is humongous. The rich people live like oldschool hacienda kings, while the rural poor live like in horrible conditions. This however is slowly changing, since Mexico is investing billions into rural education, which is slowly starting to bear fruit. (This is also the main reason why Lopez Obrador might win the election)

Bigger cities in Mexico are actually really "Westernized" in the sense that there is a pretty decent lower middle class, which is growing every year. The social migration between classes is actually quite doable, since public education is universal and most universities offer great scholarships. However the average son of a farmer will struggle greatly to "make it". Minimum wage is quite low and worker security is non existant for non-skilled jobs.

As to crime... Its a tricky one. Norther Mexico (border zones) are essentially a Escobar-tier war zone.

Poor areas definitely have alot of petty theft and the occasional kidnapping. Big cities' biggest crime is kidnapping. Especially when the target is a very wealthy person. A big trend in Mexico city these days is the "ATM kidnapping", where they stop you in (never ending Mexico city traffic), they take you to the nearest ATM at gun point and they make you take out the daily max.

Sadly, the biggest danger in a "safe" city is simply getting involved with some shady dudes.

Example:
>go to club
>dance with cute girl
>suddenly some guy tells me to fuck off
>I say fuck you
>Then this guy snaps his fingers and 3 bodyguards take me outside and beat me up

This happens, when rich kids go to clubs alot. I saw this happen quite a few times.

Another danger is going to a rich club and you start shit with some dude, only for him to pull out a gun and shoot you. To your unknowing, hes the son of some cartel jefe and hell walk away untouched.

Depends on the city, but say about 400k a year would be enough to have a harem of pornstars and rent great places. If you want to buy real state? well that changes everything.

yup, for sure not a place for me. What were you doing down there teaching?

Consultant in sustainable development in agriculture.

Nah, I just wanted a high water mark. Thanks, Mexibro

Outside of big cities like Monterrey and Mexico City, there are less economic opportunities just like the US. Most of my family is from the middle of the country, Zacatecas, and have their own farms and/or small shops in their towns. Plenty of them have come to stay with us for months or years at a time to work here in Chicago, usually restaurants, and bring back money and new gadgets to open up their own businesses in Mexico.

As far as crime goes, I've never had personal problems in Mexico and I've been there about a dozen times. I don't doubt all the reports but they are the usual media sensationalism. Some Sup Forumstards think Chicago is a war zone as well but in reality, it's confined and doesn't affect the population at large just like Mexico with its cartel violence.

How would you need only to fuck the normal mexicans not the porn hookers.

you are just going to get brainwashed by rednecks and niggers about how bad mexico is and malinchistas from mexico will only """confirm""" this.

Reality is, Mexico is a fantastic place in almost every major city you will get to experience great culture, people and history.

The smaller to medium towns is when it starts to get a bit sketchy only if you clearly look like you are visiting or don't belong there. as these are the places the cartel can hold down without too much public outrage that the larger cities can contest against the federal police.

Long story short, Mexico has a great economic potential as a nation it can leave the "shithole" category within a decade if the government decides to fight against corruption which is mostly found in smaller and rural localities helping the cartels thrive.

As a tourist Mexico is a fantastic place to explore culture, food and sights as long as you stick to large cities or even the smaller "wanderlust" tier cities found in travel sections of websites like Medium, Thrillist, Lifehacker or the many blogs from Youtube "travel" celebrities.

Jesus I thought those two pics were shopped together at first
