Saying that you like and care about something leaves you vulnerable and makes you a easy target for criticism, because now people have something to use against you on a place where no one knows anything about anyone. for the most I just get reminded of shows I've been wanting to watch and get more reasons to pick them up, although occasionally I find stuff like Mashiro Symphony that I never heard of before despite being pretty active looking up shows when it came out, there's always something that gets past even the most determined anime watchers I guess.

We are slowly turning more and more into Sup Forums 2.0 as time goes on though. But I'd say it's not really our fault, it's just that Sup Forums got insanely popular and every board is now filled with normalfags.
