Why are the most "progressive" cities in America so segregated ? I've used this map and even the most leftist cities (except for NYC) are just as segregated as the deep south

Because everyone wants to live around people they feel comfortable with and nobody feels comfortable living next to the other. SoCal does a good job of integration in the burbs but it's only because nobody leaves their houses.

I live here in South Miami. Yes there lot of white Cubans. Mostly the ones that left 2 generations ago and kids who grew up here. The new Cubans who grew up under communism are dark skin and mixed. They suck, all welfare queens. There are a lots of conservative Cubans here who are very patriotic and hate communism but they are mostly are the light skinned ones.
