How will this work do you think? Will Ainz retire his present lich appearance and use Momon and his armor as the inheritor of his will? Make it like in order to control the hordes of undead bound to the Sorceror king's will and protect the people of E-Rantel and the world he has to commit the ultimate sacrifice to bind them etc etc. No one could suspect the noble Momon of anything then.

Momon will seek to avenge the death of Ainz and defeat Jaldaboth.
I see three outcomes from this:
1) Once Jaldaboth is defeated, Ainz will finally reveal that he was Momon all along.
2) Jaldaboth defeats Momon. Ainz come back from "death", claiming that because he is its master, he can self-resurrect. Moreover, he can claim that each time he dies, he becomes more powerful. He will then defeat or subjugate Jaldaboth.
3) Momon defeats Jaldaboth. Here Ainz does not reveal that he is Momon because the extra persona is to valuable (and it gives him the opportunity to relax from kingly duties). Ainz then "resurrects", claiming that death cannot defeat him.
However, the main reason for Ainz to "die" is to bait surrounding countries into attacking the Sorcerous Kingdom . This will reveal those who seek to do harm to Ainz's new country (including potential players). The SK will then have a justification to invade its surrounding countries and secure its position in the continent militarily.

You’ve got it backwards. Momon is just a tool that exists solely to make Ainz look good. Ainz is the one who will be the eternal legend.

Why? That's stupid. That would mean admitting that he decieved the world into thinking he was two different people. That would mean admitting that he pretended to struggle against Clementine and Jaldabaoth when he had the power to easily stop them and end their schemes before however many lives were lost due to his acting. This is not in any way a good idea.

That would defeat the purpose of their plan in the whole Kingdom, which is to make Ainz look good. Ainz has to be the one to defeat Jaldabaoth, not Momon. Momon is popular enough.

Actuallly. When it's revealed that Momon is Ainz and Jaldaboth works for Ainz and Shalltear works for Ainz, all the human nations will just go "we give up" cause they were just playthings for Ainz all along. There is no hope against that kind of power.

Well Aura did kind of disobey orders. She distracted Shalltear at the end of the fight against Ainz despite being told not to intervene. Though it was subtle and went unnoticed it's still something she was told not to do and did anyways.
Mare is pretty much the only one who has 100% followed every order to the point and fulfilled it. Followed by Pandora's Actor.

1) Get some time off so he can play around as momon for a bit or work on other projects
2) Garner sympathy and inspire loyalty for the Sorcerous Kingdom for 'sacrificing' himself
3) Awe allies and plunge enemies into the depths of despair when he inevitably comes back alive anyway.

Conversely Aura and Mare sit at -100 with Mare being stone cold and Aura tending to agree with Shalltear whenever she proposes the solution of extermination. I dot not think either of them would feel some affinity with New World elfs just because they share long ears and be outraged over how he treats them.
