Looking at him in post election videos,
he sometimes seems really distressed and tired.
I hate what the media is doing to him right now, and I'm still amazed of his strong heart and his will to be a good president.

He is the most powerful man in the world. Period. He is also the most hated in the west. But to his mindset, if they hate you you are doing something right.

Probably not "happy" per say, but he knew that going in. He knew it wouldn't be easy. He knew it would be complicated. Heck, he probably didn't even REALLY want to do it in the first place. He just felt like he HAD to do it or else he'd lose everything about this country that he loved.
There's almost no way he can be enjoying it. Big entrepreneurial drives for people are being anti-authority, not liking to answer to others, total incentivization of effort, and not liking to be constrained by bureaucracy. If you attain success on Trump's level, you are liberated. You are free to fuck who you want, say what you want, and be the truest version of yourself you can be. Being president of the U.S. is the direct antithesis of someone like Trump. It's putting him in a box and there's no way someone like him enjoys that.

I'm willing to bet he underestimated what he signed up for, but it doesn't seem like it slowed him down.

All presidents age quickly. His life was easier as a property speculator than a renegade politician so naturally he became stressed. Also people tend to go downhill in his seventies. It's more that he didn't look so old before than that he is starting to look his age now.
As to happiness, it seems to me like 2016 and most of 2017 were really tough for him, under fire from all sides, but now he is starting to get the upper hand and get into the swing of things. Things are ramping up, his team seems to have stabilised after the turmoil of 2017 and at this rate he may actually win in 2020, which I didn't think he would a year ago.

He wanted to be an actor, but daddy wouldn't let him.
He knows he's not ment to be happy, he knows he's ment to be a hero. The mark of a hero isn't happiness it's self sacrifice. He's thrown his name, his image, his worth, to the vicious wolves of modern context to do what he knows is right.

Trump is as happy as such a serious guy can be. A lot of us are in the same boat. Our lives are fine and we aren't bothered by some fags throwing insults at us, but we can never be happy because we're thinking of the future and we have plans we need to worry about.

It's not that Trump sees hate as a sign that he is doing something right, but like any rational human bean he looks at who hates him and why.
If people hate you because of your agenda, if they hate you because they're completely against you politically, their hate is not something you should care about.
If you're a conservative in the US, you should absolutely not care that 50% or more of the US population hates you.

No just that it takes a lot of a man to do what he's done. He put everything he is as a man on the table. They all gather around taking bites of it with their little teeth. Gloating about it with their mouths full as it fills the stomach that is their own self worth. A man dying by a thousand cuts, it must be really hard to focus on the problems at hand.
It isn't about whether or not he is happy. He is doing this for all of us. Not his happiness. He believes in humanity and the light.
