Why is full on Nazism (or neo-nazisim) elevated or supported in the alt-right?
I get that there are similar views of race, history, and identity and I can respect that. But doesn't the historical context of Nazism (as a historical enemy of the US, for instance) work more against your movement than it does for your movement? It makes the alt-right unpalatable to newcomers or the curious who might be able to access and understand our message.
I agree that the Nazis were right about bolshevism, the JQ, etc. and there is something to be said about their aesthetic. Hell, I don't even find much wrong with celebrating their culture.
But I'm concerned that the optics serve to immediately repel people who might otherwise be converts to our cause and, if we're being pragmatic; we need people.
