I would personally like to pay homage to America, but it is surprisingly difficult. So far I have:

Also considering historically Germanic/Anglo-Saxon names, like Eric, Audrey, William, and Kendra. Celtic names might be worth a look too.
Protip: Many classic all-American names, like John and Sarah, are actually Hebrew. Avoid.
