I have new research to drop

The Bronze Age collapse was caused by a femin outbreak - and the same exact thing is playing out right now

Birth control can also end up causing serious defects to the sperm that manages to get through it.

A. Indications of Femin Infection in Minoan Culture

Minoan culture was highly advanced for the time. Some of their technological achievements (such as sewage and toilet systems) were not rivaled by modern European civilization until the Victorian era. The Minoan society may have been able to establish a “Pax Minoa” in the Aegean. What is uncontested is that, similar to modern attempts to disarm society, Minoan civilization had little in the way of a standing army or weaponry, as almost none has been left behind in the archaeological record. It’s interesting that these efforts to disarm preceded a total civilizational collapse, much like the present day.

That's true

It is important to note that Minoans worshipped either a single female deity, “Mother Goddess” or several female deities. The archeological record also shows the integration of snake symbolism in the worship of these female goddesses. Snake symbols in religion and mythology are representative of the femin virus.

>scribd.com/document/125622896/Is-Divinity-a-Gender-Issue-the-Case-of-the-Minoan-Goddess
Evans also expresses the view that the Minoan goddess was a maternal mother goddess and that the Minoans were essentially monotheistic

We know that at some point, the Minoans began engaging in human sacrifice, another known trait exhibited by femin-infected populations.

>archive.is/ZYXxP

Crucially, the Minoan mother goddess worship is associated as being a previous incarnation of Asherah worship in the Eastern Mediterranean. This is important because it indicates that people groups who had been in heavy contact with Minoan people and civilization were infected with the virus. Minoan mother goddess worship is considered to be the inspiration of the Phoenician Astarte as well.

All cultures who came in contact with Minoans appear to have started human sacrifice. Phoenician Astarte worshippers practiced child sacrifice, and the record shows that prior to their collapse the Mycenaeans engaged in it as well. What is interesting is that the Greeks (who experienced a subsequent civilizational resurgence) purged this practice from their culture. Aeschylus's Agamemnon portrays the sacrifice of his daughter Iphigenia as negative and the reason for Agamemnon’s subsequent assassination for example. The later classical Greeks similarly ended practices of allowing women to hold influential positions in society.

Minoan culture was distinct from all other cultures around it because it afforded women a high amount of respect and gave them much higher positions in society compared to all the surrounding civilizations, even the neighboring Greeks. All scholars agree that Minoan civilization was not patriarchal. In fact, some think that it became more and more rare to see men in positions of authority in Minoan society especially towards its demise.

Women in Minoan culture, especially towards the end, had no interest in raising children. While men at times would wear little more than loincloths, women would dress elaborately and display their breasts. All of this indicates movement towards a “postmodern,” individualist and possibly degenerate society just prior to collapse.

Most importantly – the Minoans were genetically of white/European ancestry. This is important to note, since so many femin virus outbreaks have been centered around white populations who are vulnerable to it. The Myceneans who immediately collapsed after Minoan culture were also predominantly white.

Bump

B. A Femin Outbreak Which May Have Begun in Minoan Culture Caused the Bronze Age Collapse

Scholars don’t actually know why Minoan society ultimately collapsed. Some blame the eruption of a volcano on the island of Thera for the demise, but Minoan civilization persisted past this disaster. In fact the record shows that Mycenaeans conquered Crete some time after the eruption.

>en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minoan_civilization#Collapse
>archive.is/PQFtK#selection-6731.0-6787.5

But this would prove fatal, as signs emerged that Mycenae had begun to adopt Minoan notions of goddess/snake worship, human sacrifice and feminism. The historical record appears to indicate that either Minoan cultural influences or the civilization’s collapse caused a domino effect of further collapses. Much like a modern collapse in say, Sweden would create a cataclysmic end to the Western world today. Many conflicts including some famous ones such as the Trojan War occurred in this time period as wider society imploded.

>en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mycenaean_Greece
>archive.is/nBySq#selection-6561.0-6573.108

The Mycenaeans’ conquest of Crete and the destruction of the weakened and feminist Minoan civilization lead to a series of inter conflicts that gutted Mycenaean society and unleashed the invasions of Sea Peoples against all Bronze Age nations in the Mediterranean. The Sea Peoples are generally thought to be a mix of groups genetically related to Mycenaean, Minoan and other nearby people groups. This violent series of migrations utterly destroyed the Hittite Empire, and brought the Egyptian empire to its knees. Today it is known to historians as the “Bronze Age Collapse.”

>en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea_Peoples#Mycenaean_warfare_hypothesis
>archive.is/eZy89#selection-4137.0-4236.0
>en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Late_Bronze_Age_collapse
>archive.is/K5K3C#selection-2977.0-3043.736

This collapse has been described as "the worst disaster in ancient history, even more calamitous than the collapse of the Western Roman Empire." And cultural memories of the event told of a "lost golden age.” This total and complete calamity had a ground zero in a culture that was feminist, gave prominent roles to women and showed signs that it’s females lost the desire to reproduce.

Within a few years of the femin virus-caused Sea People’s ravaging of the Bronze Age world, the Assyrians broke out forcefully from the Middle East (Iraq) and viciously destroyed any remaining remnants of Bronze Age political structures. They wiped out all political opponents. Even Egypt, who had survived the Sea Peoples’ invasions was too weak to resist this new threat and was conquered before the Assyrians installed a vassal to rule the country. The total collapse of European/white societies is traditionally followed by invasion and conquest by Middle Eastern powers. The modern day feminist fueled migrant crisis in Europe is no exception.

C. Signs That Descendants of Mycenaeans and Minoans Were Femin Infected

A specific case study showing that successive people groups were aware of the femin infected status of refugees and survivors of the Bronze Age Collapse such as the Philistines.

The Philistines are generally thought to be of Mycenaean or some other kind of similar Aegean (possibly Minoan/Cretan) descent.

>archive.is/V2zso#selection-3979.0-4247.141

They worshipped Asherah, and historical references show that elements of their worship included ritual sex practices and human sacrifice. Asherah is a deity with Minoan roots (a tribe who also sacrificed humans).

>christianpost.com/news/the-canaanites-child-sacrifice-and-abortion-144152/

The Old Testament explicitly warns Israel from adopting this religion or breeding with anyone who adhered to it. In fact the Philistines were one of a number of groups that Israel was told not only to avoid breeding with, but to totally wipe out along with all other survivors of the Bronze Age collapse.

>Upon entering the land of Canaan, the Israelites were to destroy all of the Asherah poles and high places (Exodus 34:11-13, Deuteronomy 7:5, 12:2-4)
>Prior to entering the land, the Israelites were commanded not to follow after the Canaanite gods worshipped in groves and high places (Deuteronomy 16:21-22)
>God cited their failure to tear down the altars of the Canaanites as the reason why He did not "drive them out" (Judges 2:1-3)
God told the Israelites to slaughter Canaanite children, women, even animals
>religionnews.com/2015/01/12/god-command-genocide-bible/
>archive.is/jF3Q7
>“Thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth. But thou shalt utterly destroy them, namely, the Hittites, and the Amorities, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee.” (Deuteronomy 20:16-7)
>whistlinginthewind.org/2012/04/18/terrible-parts-of-the-bible-part-1-genocide/
>brandonvogt.com/did-god-command-genocide/

The commands not to breed with them are important since femin can be transmitted like an STD
>Do not intermarry with them. Do not give your daughters to their sons or take their daughters for your sons (Deuteronomy 7:3)
>Now therefore give not your daughters unto their sons, neither take their daughters unto your sons, nor seek their peace or their wealth for ever: that ye may be strong, and eat the good of the land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children for ever. (Ezra 9:12)

The historical record shows that non-infected populations should 1) avoid sexual contact with infected populations 2) avoid adopting cultural or religious practices of infected populations 3) eradicate infected populations to remove them from the gene pool

The Minoan (and ultimately Bronze Age) collapse is a stark warning to modern generations. How many cultural traits found in Minoan history can be seen present today? How many can be seen developing (worship of the female etc.)? The reminder that the Bronze Age collapse was assured by an invasion from the Middle East should alarm the modern day West. We are just a few generations away from seeing a similar cataclysmic collapse.

As a side note, f*minists today continue to be triggered by the idea of culling the infected

>“The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully.”

kek

Damn this is some real autism at work here

I try

This is pretty spooky to research, the parallels with the current day are unnerving. How many generations away are we from a collapse? 2? 3 maybe if you're being optimistic?

Thread is now being slid hard, have another bump

You can't hide the truth roasties

Let's see how long it takes for the catalog to get filled with slide threads

Oh good. Been waiting for this. I'm that bastard britbong you were accusing everyone of being yesterday.

Dug more into the toxioplasma gondii theory that's been going around - it's interesting. First things first, lets address the question of strains.

T.gondii came from S.America (pic related). It appears to have followed roughly the reverse of human spread. Also implicated with T.gondii (specifically for the cognitive impairments which have been noted in infected individuals) is a bacterium (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helicobacter_pylori).

If we assume T.gondii represents one of the causative factors in this phenomenon, there are some interesting parallels. T.gondii has interesting genes. It's an asexual organism, that only reproduces sexually in cats. Cats first started associated with humans ~10,000 y.a, at about the same time agriculture developed. This is also the time (roughly) that T.gondii developed it's prevalance for asexual reproduction. Given the high rate of human infections (they would have been higher historically, based on higher infection rates in people living in mud dwellings vs modern ones), humans and their close living communities provide ideal environments for it to spread. The prevalence within wildlife also explains why it hasn't dissapeared from populations. It doesn't kill, and it can be gained from the environment.

Also of importance is the fact that infections normally do not occur till people are older (most cases begin occuring after ~30). This means that by prolonging the age at which we have children, we increase the possibility they will be exposed to the pathogen.

However, the children can only be influenced (as far as I can tell), if the mother is suffering a particularly virulent stage of the infection whilst pregnant. So people influenced by T.gondii within the womb probably don't represent a huge stage of the population.

In general, it's a really interesting theory, but I don't think it's enough on it's own. Cont..

I don't remember anyone making undeserved accusations in the last thread

Are you the bong shill who just comes here to post anything that isn't related to the femin virus and post links to sources you don't understand?

However, there is an area that might be of more interest for your viral theory. I mentioned a bacterium (H.pylori) that has also been implicated, and is present within a huge number of humans (~50%). It's a benign bacterium, plays a role in gut health. However, if ~50% of the population has this bacterium, that makes it a viable vector for a virus. Virus' generally hide themselves, and bacterium make a good place to hide. Case in point (npr.org/sections/goatsandsoda/2014/07/24/334089538/globe-trotting-virus-hides-in-people-s-gut-bacteria). If you were a big bad alphabet agency and you wanted to release a virus to influence people, I would suggest that T.gondii represents a mechanism you could influence that is known to affect personality, and that H.pylori represents a damn good hiding place for the virus. The virus might not actually need to do anything more than influence the H.pylori themselves. After all, if you don't want to be discovered, restricting your environment to a small localised area is better than spreading throughout the body. The interaction between H.pylori and T.Gondii has been noted already (ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4295891/).

I think there might even be a mechanism here if you wanted to "pass it on". as it were. Generally speaking T.gondii goes through an active phase once it enters the body, then becomes quiescent within small nodules. However, if you had some way to make it wake up again in response to certain environmental signals (say, hormone fluctuations associated with pregnancy) you could get up to some mischievous shit.

pt 3 - how t.gondii and the historical femin virus might interact inc.

>All bronze age civ's mysteriously disappear/collapse except for Egypt

I'd wondered what caused this for ages.

>0th wave feminism might have done it

FUUUUCK

>feminism makes people less attractive to the opposite sex
infowars.com/poll-feminism-makes-people-less-attractive-to-the-opposite-sex/

Really gets the noggin joggin

No one gives a fuck faggot explain how this is related to the femin virus or fuck off

Read the thread user I linked the entirety of the research here, the final straw was invasion from the Middle East just like today

The similarities are startling and it's even more spooky when you realize survivors were treated as if they had a communicable disease

The Femin Virus symptoms are not in line at all with the symptoms of t.gondii.

You're using the term wrong, miss shill

Very impressive dump OP

So - if T.gondii is related to historical instances of feminism, how could this play out?

India/S.E Asia appears to be a high risk area for T.gondii (journals.plos.org/plosntds/article?id=10.1371/journal.pntd.0002737). The same is probably true of S.America, although local strains make this harder to tell (ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3373049/). In S.E Asia there is a significant degree of goddess and snake worship. This is especially true in Hinduism, but also of note are cambodia etc. They also have a high frequency of transgender concepts within the region (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hijra_(South_Asia)#Terminology). For example - "third gender" in Hinduism. This is also true for N.America, and I've even found suggestions it was true for pre-colonial mesoamerica (thegayreich.tumblr.com/post/147875246670/homosexuality-in-the-maya-aztec-empire-the). My theory is these places, with naturally more "serious" T.gondii infections have had to adjust themselves to a slightly higher baseline level of the "depravity" that accompanies feminism. Hence why the snake is worshipped rather than feared (although it is also feared), and why they're more accepting of certain practises provided they remained within proscribed roles. Basically if you can't stop them creeping in, at least make rules for where they can sit.

If this theory is true, it might also suggest why N/S American civilisations never really achieved any great kind of heights. Higher natural tendencies towards depravity might limit the time-frame your civ operates on. Example of one probably failed civ I found in brazil
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marajoara_culture
>The general pattern of change found throughout artifacts on Marajo, especially in ceramics, is one that moves toward more complex, elaborate, and specialized wares through the Marajoara Phase. But later in the Marajoara Phase, specialization and complexity declined.

Awkward wording, but I would have to agree.

Whabout the mascul virus?

What are the symptoms of T.gondii in the first place? I wouldn't be surprised if you couldn't even list them out.

Thanks ausfriend I have been holding on to it for a while just needed to organize

lel who has time to edit shit

I was actually referring to the statement "Very impressive dump OP" lol.

I think we are growing i can almost not tell some of you seppos apart now i know one of you is from atg but thats it. Point is more numbers of quality posters are coming

All the posts about the witch trials yesterday got me thinking:

>Everyone died out in urban areas where femin infections are most likely during the black plague
>witch hunts kick off immediately after
infogalactic.com/info/Witch_trials_in_the_early_modern_period
>Barstow (1994) claimed that a combination of factors, including the greater value placed on men as workers in the increasingly wage-oriented economy, and a greater fear of women as inherently evil, loaded the scales against women, even when the charges against them were identical to those against men.[121] Thurston (2001) saw this as a part of the general misogyny of the Late Medieval and Early Modern periods, which had increased during what he described as "the persecuting culture" from that which it had been in the Early Medieval.[122] Gunnar Heinsohn and Otto Steiger in a 1982 publication speculated that witch-hunts targeted women skilled in midwifery specifically in an attempt to extinguish knowledge about birth control and "repopulate Europe" after the population catastrophe of the Black Death.[123]
>there is certainly evidence of misogyny on the part of those persecuting witches

Spanish were actually breddy based

Look at the prevalence of human sacrifice in Aztec society and who their main deity, Quetzalcoatl
>a feathered serpent, a flying reptile (much like a dragon), who was a boundary-maker (and transgressor) between earth and sky
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quetzalcoatl
They then reengineered the Mexican eagle and snake symbol
>Father Diego Durán reinterpreted the legend so that the eagle represents all that is good and right, while the snake represents evil and sin
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coat_of_arms_of_Mexico
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diego_Durán

He was a Dominican friar who re-engineered the Aztec legend of how they founded Mexico city for evangelism. Apparently before he refocused the evil analogy on the serpent the natives had lost that part of the allegory.

I'm the one who makes the /ATG/ threads. There are new posters since the last thread I noticed though, which is very good.

And here's something about one of the female leaders who opposed them

>Mysterious snake appears in painting of Queen Elizabeth I
telegraph.co.uk/culture/art/art-news/7367751/Mysterious-snake-appears-in-painting-of-Queen-Elizabeth-I.html

Here's some more food for thought OP. Seems the Celts did indeed practice some form of human sacrifice. I would have to find a source for it but I do believe it was in fact child sacrifice in particular.

Would help if I actually posted the link, lel.

Finding a source for this Celtic/Druidic women tribe that sacrificed children is being a bitch to find. Some pretty well known anti-feminist women wrote about I remember. Was about how when men are in charge they build civilization and when women are in charge they practice child sacrifice. I think MILO even referenced it once.

Im going to have to do one on witch hunting and that massive hit to the population that was caused by it, my mood swings and insomnia are really messing with me at the moment.
The descriptions of witches line up solid with feminists, time to get out the pitch forks.
(You)

Didnt see that post, yes the witch trials is really interesting and most likely related, still haven't caught up on the thread i better do that.

This represents why. IDGAF if you cunts listen or not, but the similarities are there. Notable sources of infection for T.gondii - gays and cats. Things associated with witches? Cats. Things hinduism (the only stable snake + female positive religion I can find) discourages association with cats. Almost all religions discourage gay people. It's also something you can easily get from eating certain meats, such as pork.

Basically its something that a lot of evidence points towards various societal and social compulsions to limit the spread of, and avoid contact with infected members of. It's also known to influence the brains and sexuality of mice, Infected humans also score differently to uninfected humans on personality tests (ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2526142/).

If you want to believe feminism is caused due to your mythical "femin virus" that has been present throughout history, you need a species. And my point is its probably not a virus, but that if it is due to some kind of infectious agent, T.gondii fits the bill. There are flaws, but they could be worked out.

I'm done so you don't have to worry about any more evil "shilling". But you retards should really try and include slightly more plausible theories, and slightly less circlejerking.

>but muh T.gondii isn't a virus........
>well no I'm not a biologist but.....

The Carthaginians were Phoenician and worshipped a god more or less was the same thing that came from Crete

That would be a great write up, if you dump some stuff I'll make another pastebin and we can stack it all up in the OP

Our mass of research is growing

>muh t.gondil
>muh studies I don't understand
>muh cats
>stop looking into the femin virus
lol

This user knows what he's talking about, and the digits confirm.

T. Gondii can spread to the brain.
And we know it can alter behavior in rodents.

And the rat brain really isn't too different from a human one in the structural sense.

HAHAHAHAHAH, wow what a little bitch you are. You can't even muster the brain power to simply explain to me what the hell the symptoms of T.gondii even are?

What are the symptoms? Why is it so damn hard for anyone to discuss the symptoms?

t. shills who took crash courses in bio 101 before hitting these threads

It doesn't make hosts start doing human sacrifices/killing their offspring and it doesn't make females suddenly stop wanting to have kids which is their primary biological purpose

They failed because they were indios. Have you ever met a BR native lad? Here's a tip: they're not bright. Be careful not to let wishful thinking skew your research. And there's also the matter of resources. Although Brazil has a lot of resources, they are very spread out, unlike Europe.

I believe there are even female health repercussions to never having kids. Might be something to look into.

Don't some women go crazy if they don't have children?

Even the hueposters can see this "research" makes no sense kek

Seems to hit women the hardest.

Crazy cat ladies driven by the parasite to collect more cats (which the parasite needs for its life cycles) investing her energy and resources into the cats instead of her own reproduction.

This is a fairly common parasite strategy.

All, or if not at least most, symptoms of the Femin Virus tie into its small list of goals:

1. Reduce population.

2. Implode the host civilization.

3. Make the infected see all men of their tribe as "weak". Even if they see men of other tribes as strong, once they mate with them they too will see that even foreign men cannot satisfy them and the cycle will continue.

4. Spread to other individuals within the tribe and outside of the tribe.

1. It's not wide spread

2. It doesn't share the symptoms of the Femin Virus.

Yes, and I think there might be physical symptoms as well. I know something happens to the female reproductive organ if a woman never has sex.

Just spitballing ideas user.

The work of Thomas Aquinas in the 13th century was instrumental in developing the new theology which would give rise to the witch hunts

>Thomas Aquinas

I may have a lead, im using Info-Galactic its created and run by Vox-Day the man wrote the books sjw's always lie and sjw's always double down so hes our guy and i think his website will be better for info then Wikipedia

I didn't know that, probably both sources are good to use but I bet we'll get better info from Infogalactic

Also noticeably influences human behaviour. And it influences men and women in different ways. I don't think its the whole answer, but its a radically better theory than "muh virus". These retards don't understand why speciation would be a problem (especially with the whole suicidal aspect of feminism), and they don't understand how hard it is to retain viral presence in basically every human population over time, especially if you keep purging the infected or they keep purging themselves. But T.gondii has mechanisms that both control the speciation issue, and the reinfection issue, as well as one or two of the other nitpicks I had for a historical feminism 'virus'. I don't think its the whole deal, but it might actually play a role.

r.e merica-shill, you can look up the symptoms if you give a shit. I already listed and cited multiple studies on differences between infected and non infected individuals. I wouldn't worry your pretty little head about it though, you actually have to understand parasite life cycles to get a grasp on why that question is hard to answer, and since you don't and won't, it's not worth thinking about.

From wiki talking about infected peoples personality scores vs normal peoples:
>This means that men were more likely to disregard rule and were more expedient, suspicious and jealous. On the other hand, women were more warm hearted, outgoing, conscientious and moralistic.[71]

>still can't list the symptoms of T.gondii
>meanwhile lectures us on "speculation"

Oh my word. I know i said I wouldn't rspond more but fuck me the bait is real.

>It's not widespread

Are you literally fucking DEAF? I just pointed out how it is literally, LITERALLY, WORLDWIDE IN SPREAD. Everywhere. Every fucking where. It's in animals and humans and even the fucking mud in places.

>its small list of goals:

>well you see it's a historical virus, but it has clearly defined goals in a macropolitical sense
>well no you see you got it wrong thats just the modern EVIL CIA VERSION
>well no but yeah its also historical and shit and it still has these goals because idk, time travel?

>3. Make the infected see all men of their tribe as "weak". Even if they see men of other tribes as strong, once they mate with them they too will see that even foreign men cannot satisfy them and the cycle will continue.

T.gondii could actually manage this. It changes personality, and affects men and women differently.

>4. Spread to other individuals within the tribe and outside of the tribe.

Yes my god this is such a unique aspect of a parasite / virus it truly needs to be mentioned.

keep bumping my thread loser

This is actually a really interesting point.

Real talk : this whole "cats are the greatest" thing. Anyone know the timeframe on that? Because they do seem to have gotten really, really popular since, say, 1960's or so.

I don't know how much your theory r.e acquiring cats is true vs say theories of wanting to have surrogate "babies", and cats being preferable to dogs for women, but its a good theory. And unlike damn near everyone else here you've got a grasp on how parasites work.

T.gondii uses cats (and only cats) for sexual reproduction. So here's my crazy theory. T.gondii increases in population. It has a 'trigger' of some kind. One possible mechanism might be exposed to antibodies for it whilst in womb, and then infected later in life, or something like that. Some kind of 2 step process that mostly keeps it from activating until societies reach a certain "critical density" of population.

Once "activated", the pathogen might seek to spread itself. This could come in 2 forms - promiscuous behaviour (spreads parasite asexually), and acquiring cats (allows parasite to breed sexually, and potentially create a better form to reinfect the local large population).

At this point, it might simply be the accumulation of very small personality factors + gay behaviour that lead to societal breakdown. Once the marriages begin to be unwound, the collapse might be damn near inevitable, and invariable include something that tends towards "feminism", led by the women, who end up the most effected, and attempt to vent their frustration by changing their place in society?

Don't like the theory entirely. I still reckon feminism is more likely a social issue, similar to Calhouns experiments. But I do think if the CIA did release some kind of bioweapon virus, the mechanism I suggested earlier works better than most.

>social issue
>calhouns experiment
>where behavior was altered with chemicals
>it's solely caused by (((ideology)))
>the virus isn't real

The absolute state of bong education - you've already shown multiple times that you have zero fucking clue about what's actually in the links you post

Also word of advice when you link the same handful of generic, shitty memes every thread it makes you stand out :^)

Could that be symptomatic of transracial gene migration strategy rather than any particular virus?

>A single-celled parasite called Toxoplasma gondii causes a disease known as toxoplasmosis. While the parasite is found throughout the world, more than 60 million people in the United States may be infected with the Toxoplasma parasite. Of those who are infected, very few have symptoms because a healthy person’s immune system usually keeps the parasite from causing illness. However, pregnant women and individuals who have compromised immune systems should be cautious; for them, a Toxoplasma infection could cause serious health problems.

Well would you look at that, this shit you've been going on about doesn't even show symptoms in people most of the time.

>Once a diagnosis of toxoplasmosis is confirmed, you and your health care provider can discuss whether treatment is necessary. In an otherwise healthy person who is not pregnant, treatment usually is not needed. If symptoms occur, they typically go away within a few weeks to months. For pregnant women or persons who have weakened immune systems, medications are available to treat toxoplasmosis.

Wow, it's literally fucking nothing. Now neck yourself and actually read any of the links you post.

The virus makes this happen in women who have no need to mate with foreign men, that's what makes it different.

regarding the eagle/snake symbolism, most research i've done led me to some scholar or teacher telling me the same thing about the roman eagle, the nazi eagle, the us eagle... I think you should add a part about arabic writings and the snake that it represents, such as pic related. What do you think ?
>The reminder that the Bronze Age collapse was assured by an invasion from the Middle East should alarm the modern day West. We are just a few generations away from seeing a similar cataclysmic collapse.
>the parallels with the current day are unnerving.

I suspect the t. gondii hijacks or reroutes the womans maternal instinct into cats somehow.

(Spiking oxytocin levels when interacting with or observing cats to imprint them into the woman?)

The part of the brain that secretes oxytocin is the hypothalamus, which t. gondii does target in rats.

Webster, J. P. (Dec 1994). "The effect of Toxoplasma gondii and other parasites on activity levels in wild and hybrid Rattus norvegicus". Parasitology. 109 (5): 583–589. doi:10.1017/s0031182000076460. PMID 7831094

Which again is structurally similar to the human brain.

That's just only one parasite that has been identified. Would it be accurate to presuppose that there are hundreds if not thousands more?

I'm out for now lads, keep the thread alive I'll come back later

I did not know that about Arabic writings user, can you share a link or two to get me started? I will check it out sounds interesting

The Femin virus is actually toxoplasmosis.

Witch trials in the early modern period

The period of witch trials in Early Modern Europe were a widespread moral panic suggesting that malevolent Satanic witches were operating as an organized threat to Christendom during the 15th to 18th centuries. Those accused of witchcraft were portrayed as being worshippers of the Devil, who engaged in such acts as malevolent sorcery at meetings known as Witches' Sabbaths. Many people were subsequently accused of being witches, and were put on trial for the crime, with varying punishments being applicable in different regions and at different times.

>suggesting that malevolent Satanic witches were operating as an organized threat to Christendom
>Those accused of witchcraft were portrayed as being worshippers of the Devil

While early trials fall still within the Late Medieval period, the peak of the witch hunt was during the period of the European wars of religion, peaking between about 1580 and 1630. The witch hunts declined in the early 18th century. In Great Britain, their end is marked by the Witchcraft Act of 1735. But sporadic witch-trials continued to be held during the second half of the 18th century, the last known dating to 1782, though a prosecution was commenced in Tennessee as recently as 1833.

>the peak of the witch hunt was during the period of the European wars of religion, peaking between about 1580 and 1630.

Over the entire duration of the phenomenon of some three centuries, an estimated total of between 40,000 and 60,000 people were executed. Among the best known of these trials were the Scottish North Berwick witch trials, Swedish Torsåker witch trials and the American Salem witch trials. Among the largest and most notable were the Trier witch trials (1581–1593), the Fulda witch trials (1603–1606), the Würzburg witch trial (1626–1631) and the Bamberg witch trials (1626–1631).

>40,000 and 60,000 people were executed
>Scottish North Berwick witch trials
>Swedish Torsåker witch trials
>American Salem witch trials

The sociological causes of the witch-hunts have long been debated in scholarship. Mainstream historiography sees the reason for the witch craze in a complex interplay of various factors that mark the early modern period, including the religious sectarianism in the wake of the Reformation, besides other religious, societal, economic and climatic factors.

Background

The witch-trials emerge in the 15th century out of the practices surrounding the persecution of heresy in the medieval period, although they reach their peak only during the Wars of Religion following the Protestant Reformation.
The work of Thomas Aquinas in the 13th century was instrumental in developing the new theology which would give rise to the witch hunts
The resurgence of witch-hunts at the end of the medieval period, taking place with at least partial support or at least tolerance on the part of the Church, was accompanied with a number of developments in Christian doctrine, i.e. the recognition of the existence of witchcraft as a form of Satanic influence, and its classification as a heresy. As Renaissance occultism gained traction among the educated classes, the belief in witchcraft, which in the medieval period had been part of the folk religion of the uneducated rural population at best, was incorporated into an increasingly comprehensive theology of Satan as the ultimate source of all maleficium.

That would just be speculation that could be applied to any situation. If it was a parasite then people would HAVE to be able to notice it in tests and such. Something that affects DNA in a minor way would be much harder to see. Especially if people looking at it don't know what they should be looking for.

>As Renaissance occultism gained traction among the educated classes. infogalactic.com/info/Renaissance_magic
>the belief in witchcraft
>was incorporated into an increasingly comprehensive theology of Satan as the ultimate source of all maleficium.

These changes the doctrinal shift were completed in the mid 15th century, specifically in the wake of the Council of Basel and centered on the Duchy of Savoy in the western Alps, leading to an early series of witch trials by both secular and ecclesiastical courts in the second half of the 15th century.
Malleus Maleficarum, the 1485 treatise by Henricus Institoris met initial resistance in some areas, and some areas of Europe only experienced the first wave of the new witch trials in the latter half of the 16th century.

T.gondii was being used as an example for how an infection can change the host's behavior; follow along better, you lack reading comprehension.

Magic and witchcraft

Early Modern Europe and its North American colonies were replete with a belief in the reality of magic and witchcraft. Belief in the witch, an individual who practiced malevolent magic, was not new to Early Modern Europe. Witches had appeared both in literature – most prominently with the character of Circe in Homer's Odyssey – and in reality, with many individuals writing curses on leaden tablets across the Roman Empire. In parts of Early Medieval Europe there was a widespread and long-lasting belief in witches who rode out with a goddess, varyingly known as Diana, Herodias, Holda, or Perchta; in the Canon Episcopi, the Roman Catholic Church maintained that cavalcade did not really happen, and that instead it was an erroneous superstition caused by the Devil.

> a belief in the reality of magic and witchcraft
>an individual who practiced malevolent magic

Many Early Modern communities contained professional or semi-professional practitioners of folk magic; in England they were known as "cunning folk" although other terms were used elsewhere. They were believed to be able to cure disease, counter malevolent sorcery, identify enemies, foretell the future, and locate treasure and lost property, and would offer their services in these areas for a fee. In contrast to this low magic was the high magic practiced by learned men of the Renaissance. Advocated by the likes of Marsilio Ficino and Pico della Mirandola, this Renaissance high magic was influenced by ancient philosophies like Neoplatonism and Hermeticism and was theoretically complex, seeing the practice of magic as part of a wider spiritual system.

Infected people show different personalities.

The reason you retards are having trouble is that this is a COMPLEX organism. It has minor symptoms, but many of the issues appear to stem from what is does in response to the bodies immune response (aka symptoms) - it forms tiny nodules within the body, including the brain. These are how it can influence people over the entire lifetime, once they are infected, and once the symptomatic stage has passed.

> read any of the links you post.
How about you actually learn biology.

>Sage goes in all fields

>clinically asymptomatic ≠ clinically irrelevant.

Look at how successful HSV1+2 have been by being kind of innocuous. The odd site every now and then, goes away after 3/or 4 days, so what?

90% of all humans carry this virus.

~8% of "your" DNA is wholly viral, i.e., not yours.

This kind of thing can have ramifications beyond anything clinically or symptomatically obvious.

Look at the gut microbiome for an example of how poorly we understand the interactions between our bodies and the organisms inhabiting it.

>Consistent and significant differences in Cattell's personality factors were found between Toxoplasma-infected and -uninfected subjects in 9 of 11 studies, and these differences were not the same for men and women. After using the Bonferroni correction for multiple tests, the personality of infected men showed lower superego strength (rule consciousness) and higher vigilance (factors G and L on Cattell's 16PF). Thus, the men were more likely to disregard rules and were more expedient, suspicious, jealous, and dogmatic. The personality of infected women, by contrast, showed higher warmth and higher superego strength (factors A and G on Cattell's 16PF), suggesting that they were more warm hearted, outgoing, conscientious, persistent, and moralistic. Both men and women had significantly higher apprehension (factor O) compared with the uninfected controls.

Holy shit, lol. You honestly do not read a single one of your links. None of these personality differences in the infected correlate with what you see in feminism at all. I still can't believe you're even trying with this shit. Your own links defeat your arguments.

The symptoms are not the same as the Femin Virus.

This is possible. I suspect in terms of behaviour, this might be partially measured by the higher "G" factor (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/16PF_Questionnaire) amongst infected. Interestingly, in women it appears to increase in proportion to the duration of infection, whilst it decreases in men (ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2526142/). This could easily form the basis for fracturing relationships once divorce laws appear, no? Personalities that shift in opposite directions over time (since after all if one person has it, their partner also will) could lead to more breakups?

G also relates to things like being rule abiding and tidy and orderly, and I find having pets goes along with that. It gives them things to organise and look after.

I wonder if you're right, and cats are essentially "close enough" in terms of cuteness to trigger maternal instincts, especially with a little bit of parasitic aid? If the cat urine / smell attraction is at least partially retained, it could help drive attraction towards cats?

You're 100% right in terms of the structural similarities in the brain. A large amount of what makes us different from other animals comes from our Neocortex, which is just the surface crap. Most of the deeper machinery is very ancient, and largely preserved with our close relatives. Honestly even without any speciation on the part of T.gondii AT ALL, I wouldn't be surprised to see them being able to influence human behaviour notably.

The fact that as mentioned their modern asexual reproduction ties very closely to human agriculture suggests we play a primary role in their reproduction. This makes me think they probably do influence us subtly, and have done since before the dawn of history. The only real question is how serious the infection issue is. On the other hand, I am now someone worried about the prospect of a bioweapon that utilised t.gondii.

I'm still a feminist btw

Perhaps the d̶e̶m̶o̶n̶ femin* (silly auto correct, strike through text generator doesn't strike through "demon" properly... Hmm...) virus is actually a self-sustaining social, cultural, and memetic virus rather than being attributable to any particular parasitic microorganism.

Gender conflict

An estimated 75% to 85% of those accused in the early modern witch trials were women, and there is certainly evidence of misogyny on the part of those persecuting witches, evident from quotes such as "[It is] not unreasonable that this scum of humanity, [witches], should be drawn chiefly from the feminine sex" (Nicholas Rémy, c. 1595) or "The Devil uses them so, because he knows that women love carnal pleasures, and he means to bind them to his allegiance by such agreeable provocations."Nevertheless, it has been argued that the supposedly misogynistic agenda of works on witchcraft has been greatly exaggerated, based on the selective repetition of a few relevant passages of the Malleus maleficarum. There are various reasons as to why this was the case. In Early Modern Europe, it was widely believed that women were less intelligent than men and more susceptible to sin. Many modern scholars argue that the witch hunts cannot be explained simplistically as an expression of male misogyny, as indeed women were frequently accused by other women, to the point that witch-hunts, at least at the local level of villages, have been described as having been driven primarily by "women's quarrels". Especially at the margins of Europe, in Iceland, Finland, Estonia and Russia, the majority of those accused were male.

>An estimated 75% to 85% of those accused in the early modern witch trials were women

>widely believed that women were less intelligent than men
>women were frequently accused by other women

Barstow (1994) claimed that a combination of factors, including the greater value placed on men as workers in the increasingly wage-oriented economy, and a greater fear of women as inherently evil, loaded the scales against women, even when the charges against them were identical to those against men. Thurston (2001) saw this as a part of the general misogyny of the Late Medieval and Early Modern periods, which had increased during what he described as "the persecuting culture" from that which it had been in the Early Medieval. Gunnar Heinsohn and Otto Steiger in a 1982 publication speculated that witch-hunts targeted women skilled in midwifery specifically in an attempt to extinguish knowledge about birth control and "repopulate Europe" after the population catastrophe of the Black Death.

nigger stop just making shit up

Precisely. If you have your magical 'femin virus' with the 'goals' of destroying civilisation, and which repeatedly gets its infected members genocided, it's going to very rapidly speciate into some form that is better for spreading in the population and then not killing its hosts.

>Look at the gut microbiome for an example of how poorly we understand the interactions between our bodies and the organisms inhabiting it.

This. We know very fucking little about how various aspects of the body work, and neurobiology, and natural interactions between humans and non-human organisms (and neurology, because gut brain) are some of the biggest fields we have huge gaps in our knowledge in.

The entire history of biology is one of various organisms bootstrapping themselves up on the backs of others. Hell, its been argued quite elegantly that the story of agriculture is one of wheat and a few other plants domesticating humans so they obediently planted lots and lots of these plants. Biology is a tandem waltz with pistols rammed up your partners armpits, and the idea that our rise to civilisation has gone completely un-partnered by some parasites is laughable. We know of some (fleas, ticks, women), and there are certainly some more left to be discovered.

If you're interested in parasitology and enjoy sci-fi the novel Parasite (think it's a trilogy now) details the deliberate infection of humans by a major pharma company with modified tapeworms to enhance the human body.

It works great at first, but as you may know tapeworm larvae can leave the GI tract and wind up in the brain (Cysticercosis) which is what starts happening in the novel. Author is Mira Grant.

Not having alot of luck with the witch point of view perhaps i will look more into some of the key figures behind it obviously any symbolism of snakes/serpents should stick out if they are there and help my search.

Bumping with pasta from previous threads

Collapse of the Khmer Empire:

Serpents, or nāgas, play a particularly important role in Cambodian mythology. A well-known story explains the emergence of the Khmer people from the union of Indian and indigenous elements, the latter being represented as nāgas. According to the story, an Indian brahmana named Kaundinya came to Cambodia, which at the time was under the dominion of the naga king. The naga princess Soma sallied forth to fight against the invader but was defeated. Presented with the option of marrying the victorious Kaundinya, Soma readily agreed to do so, and together they ruled the land. The Khmer people are their descendants.
