Not one characteristic, trait, or gene distinguishes all members of one so-called race from all members of any other so-called race. >Most genetic variation is within not between races. >>The early U.S. economy was built on slavery. A concept of race was invented to justify the denial of rights and freedoms others took for granted. A hierarchy, a power structure was born.
How could old societies divide people with physical differences? There was no mass immigration as there is today.

>>Race is a modern idea. No it is not. The word RASA, meaning Race is not a new word. Is as old as times. The Kaste System in India was established to prevent Aryans from mixing with Black Indigenous people, to preserve Pure RASA.
>Race has no genetic basis. Yes it does. DNA studies clearly shows Races, just not the way some people would like them to be.
>A hierarchy, a power structure was born. Implying the USA invented hierarchy is retarded. Hierarchy is part of the hardwiring of human brain. Aka the Lobster.
>Race is a modern idea It was recognized by the Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, and the >religion, status, class, language largely had an ethnic component to it. I agree with your greentext, because that's just the reality we actually live in. Ethnicity is what pre-late-modern people cared about and, in their opinion, Florentines and Genoans were two different ethnicities.

>Race is a not a modern idea. False dichotomy. There are more periods besides modern and ancient. The idea of race has been around for a long time and people were very conscious of it. (voting laws). >Race has no genetic basis. False. Even computers can detect race with near perfect accuracy. Even if you were right, then that would mean affirmative action is based on nothing. >The early US economy was built on slavery. No, the US economy would have been fine without slavery. Slavery was just a slight boost.

Millions of whites were slaves in North Africa and the Middle East. Also the first slaves in North America and the Caribbean were Irish and homeless from English cities.
They found white slaves (indentured servants with 20 terms) to struggle in the hot sun (redneck). Also, whites tended to revolt and kill their overseerers, whereas blacks managed fine in the sun and subservience came more naturally. There were some black revolts (like Haiti), but largely, they worked hard.
The term 'indentured servant' is basically the same as a slave but, if you lived long enough, you might become a freeman. Most died before they became free and any child an indentured servant had was owned by the master.
Slave owners in the Caribbean plantations bred white slaves with black slaves to save money but this was eventually put to stop because it threatened the lucrative triangular trade of people and goods. This is why many blacks in America and the Caribbean have some white DNA.
Are you 12? Read the archives, you sound retarded and you are very uninformed.

Bullshit. Slavery actually hurt the U.S. economy, as did it to Rome. Slavery stunts technological advancement, and is general degenerate for a society to have a repressed population present within it.

>"Roman nose" >"Mongol eyes" >"Moorish skin" I could go on. Mass migrations have largely defined Eurasian history, btw. Europeans are not indigenous to Europe. Our ancestors migrated there in pre-history and displaced most of the natives. The Basques are one of the few surviving indigenous Europeans.
>The early U.S. economy was built on slavery. No bud it was built by the European natives, slavery was only important in the late colonial era and only in the south.

In the 1970s and 80s, a wide variety of Marxist conceptualizations of race. class, and the state emerged, including a substantial body of theoretical studies which attempt to develop a more precise and systematic understanding of racism in capitalist society as rooted in the dominant social relations and power structures."

Race wasn't developed by the Spanish, it comes from Muslims. The earliest references are from late 7th early 8th Century Arab traders describing the "Zanj" (Arabic for black) people of Southeast Africa. They described several Bantu ethnic groups as being the same ethnicity due to their cultural similarity, which is not surprising because the Bantu only spread from the Niger region very recently in the scheme of things. Much later, when Muslim slaving grounds in Eastern Europe were cut off by the Crimean Khanate, the Ottomans, and the Commonwealth, Ibn Khaldun and other Arab scholars began to develop the idea of race to justify the enslavement of Muslims from Southwest Africa. Under Sharia, Muslims are not supposed to enslave Muslims, so they came up with the idea that dark-skinned Africans had a biological predisposition to slavery and that Allah wanted them to be enslaved. So if you believe in race, you believe in late Medieval Muslim bullshit. Kind of like if how you are a Christian, you believe in late Bronze Age Jewish bullshit.
Break the cycle, embrace science.

You're making a lot of unsourced claims there, Chaim. Let's begin with a simple one:
>Race is a modern idea. Ancient societies did not divide people according to physical differences, but according to religion, status, class, language.
Creating extensive scientific textbooks about race might be a relatively modern (18th/19th century) concept, but you need to prove your claim that e.g. in Ancient Rome, a black man and a white man were, if they both happened to be slaves or downtrodden cityfolk, not treated differently based on their skin color..
>Race has no genetic basis. Not one characteristic, trait, or gene distinguishes all members of one so-called race from all members of any other so-called race. >Most genetic variation is within not between races.
>Ancient societies did not divide people according to physical differences, but according to religion, status, class, language. You're forgetting the main one - tribe. Tribes were divided, even though they'd be mixing sometimes.
American racialists can't have tribal unity so they think people will neatly fall into 'White identity' whatever that means. I don't think that'll work out

we could literally fuck their whore moms and bully them into killing themselves, stop giving a fuck and start lifting weights

>Race is a modern idea. Ancient societies did not divide people according to physical differences, but according to religion, status, class, language. Maybe that's because ancient societies didn't see much of other races. It's different today because of increased contact and easier travel between locations. People would of course have distinguished by physical differences, because that is literally the first thing people can notice about each other.

They weren't, assuming neither were Italians. The hierarchy of Roman society was >Patricians >Knights (Equites) >Plebeians >Citizens from a handful of favored cities (Capua pre-Hannibal, e.g.) >Italic Citizens of Rome >Non-Italic Citizens of Rome >Greek non-Citizens (flip these two during the Republic) >Italic non-Citizens (flip these two during the Republic) >Non-Citizens of other ethnicities >Allied citizens >Foreigners (mainly Persians) >"Barbarians" (definition varied over time, included Germans until Justinian or so [Byzantine period]) >Jews >Christians (until Constantine) >Slaves >Traitors >the damned

>This isn't even true, though. Aristotle spoke about the different races. That's a misrepresentation/bad translation. He didn't mean race in the modern sense. Persians, Greeks, and Italians were different "ethnoi" to him. Ethnos is the Greek word often translated as "race."
Josiah Jenkins
Ibn Battuta, 14th century
"beyond [known peoples of black West Africa] to the south there is no civilization in the proper sense. There are only humans who are closer to dumb animals than to rational beings. They live in thickets and caves, and eat herbs and unprepared grain. They frequently eat each other. They cannot be considered human beings."
Daniel Davis
Yep, Muslims invented race in the late 13th/early 14th Century. Nice to see a European who actually knows some history on this board.

How do you recognise a foundation myth? It fulfils three functions. 1)It explains the origin and structure of the world (and society). 2)It defines ultimate good and evil (and from those definitions are derived the values that are used to justify the holding of power). 3)It determines what is held sacred in that society. For modern Westerners the story of WWII has become their foundation myth. It fulfils all three functions. 1)We live in the ‘Post-War World’. The lines on the map, the institutions, the sense of what era we live in, all arise from the starting point of WWII. 2)Ultimate evil is Nazis. Ultimate good is opposing Nazis. The values derived from these definitions are anti-racism, equality, diversity, anti-nationalism and so on. 3)The only thing that is held sacred, that cannot be denied or mocked in the contemporary West, is the Holocaust. The problem is that all three functions are backwards or negative. Instead of the origin event being one of fertility and new life, it was a conflagration of death and destruction. Instead of ultimate good taking the central position in the story that slot is occupied by ultimate evil. Everyone knows that Adolf Hitler, the personification of evil, holds the centre point of the WWII story. Instead of that which is held sacred being something mysterious and sublime it (the Holocaust) is an obscenity. Having a negative foundation myth means the tree of life for Westerners is poisoned. > Having a negative foundation myth means the tree of life for Westerners is poisoned.
Let’s not forget that’s more then 800years ago since then Muslims have been dumbing down and inbreeding like rabbits

>Race is a modern idea. Ancient societies did not divide people according to physical differences, but according to religion, status, class, language. False, see pic >Race has no genetic basis. Not one characteristic, trait, or gene distinguishes all members of one so-called race from all members of any other so-called race. Race is genetically defined by clusters of gene variance and there are traits that distinguish populations from each other. The earliest modern classification was in skill shape which is where we get the terms Caucasian, Negro and Mongoloid from. See next picture >Most genetic variation is within not between races.
