Which anime films have you seen on the big screen?

Which anime films have you seen on the big screen?

Also No Game No Life Zero thread, I guess

Thankfully not that trash.
I saw Akira in the theatre though.

Only NGNL Zero since I couldn't watch it online.

>No Game No Life
>trash

Saw Kaguya Hime North America premiere.
Was pretty great stuff, almost cried at the end.

Ponyo, Arriete, Madoka 1 and 2. The Madoka films convinced me never to go see weeb bait in a theater again.

Now that would have been worth seeing.

Some of the Pokemon movies when I was younger. I think I still have that Mew card.

user almost crying would have been worth seeing?

All three Madoka movies. That was about it.

The Cat Returns
Almost saw Kimi no na wa but was late and watched Life instead.
Also I think I've watched several other anime films as private screenings but can't really remember.

NGNL Zero is trash.

>weeb bait
You fell for it, what does that make you?

Kimi no Na Wa 5 times for various reasons
Koe no Katachi
Kono Sekai no Katasumi ni
Kizumonogatari
SAO: Ordinal Scale
Ancien and the Magic Tablet
Belladonna of Sadness
The Red Turtle
Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru: Washio Sumi no Shou 3

user, why would you watch a 6.5/10 movie 5 times?

Most of Ghibli films
Kimi no na Wa, Hoshi no Koe, Kotonoha no Niwa, Hoshi o Ou Kodomo, Byousoku 5 cm
Ookami Kodomo to Ame no Yuki, Summer Wars
Redline, Colorful, Hottarake no Shima, Momo e no Tegami, Blood C, Berserk 1-3, Patema Inverted, Fox Girl
Enough?

>1. by myself
>2. with a friend
>3. with some other friends
>4. on a plane
>5. in IMAX

I was just there for the russian-inspired cutout animation

fair enough
was it showing on an Asian flight or did you just end up watching it to pass the time?

Both, I was on a flight to Japan, couldn't sleep so I watched it. On the way back they have Kono Sekai on there but I didn't see that one.

Patema Inverted

>Belladonna of Sadness
What was the audience demo like for this?

>having friends

Not him, but my showing was full of old white people, and artsy teenagers.

The 3 madoka movies
Anohana
2 of the 3 kizumonogatari movies.

The best kind of audience

It was part of an animation day at a local film festival. Basically a bunch of nerdy students and some older folk. Some stereotypical neckbeards too.

But you have friends too, user!

I like to believe everyone on Sup Forums is a disaffected hipster, and that's why we don't use reddit. Well, everyone except the Brazilians.

Only Kimi no Na Wa because most anime movies don't come to my state

I saw it too and people were laughing at the sexual imagery.

Tamako Love Story
Nanoha Movie 1st
Nanoha Movie 2nd

Does Monsters University count if I saw it in Japan?

>The Madoka films convinced me never to go see weeb bait in a theater again.
What happened?

Only Your Name and SAO: Ordinal Scale cause my uni gifted the tickets for it.

None of them.

I might go see 4.0 if only to hear the collective anger in the theater when Anno executes his master plan.

Nothing in particular, it's just like every time I've ever gone to see something with weebs. Smelly, loud, and more focused on the spectacle of an event than just seeing a good movie.

just watched it, was surprised there were a good number of couples there actually that didn't look like whale beasts

Comedies are especially awful, but that's not unique to anime. I always seem to end up sitting right next to a douchebag who thinks it's appropriate to laugh loudly at every line and react to everything that happens.

I go to a lot of movies and the only kind that are on par with limited showing anime flicks, are movies made for black people.

Akira, K-On movie, Redline. That's pretty much it.

Forgot to mention I was dragged to watch Koe no Katachi and thought it was mostly okay in the end.

Worst audience I've ever had was for a live action comedy manga adaptation, compared to that disaster I don't mind most anime screenings. Maybe I am getting used to obnoxious people. Yuasa commented that Westerners laugh at everything, even touching scenes, after the Lu premiere.

I'm going to watch Kimi no na Wa tomorrow. Stopping myself from torrenting it was hard but it will be worth it, I hope.

I saw the film Ponyo in a theater, it was really adorable.

I have never seen another Miyazaki film, however.

Many Ghibli films like Spirited Away, Ponyo, Mononoke and The Wind Rises.
Koe no Katachi
The boy and the Beast
Rebuild of Evangelion 1 and 2.
I wanted to watch Madoka Rebellion but I couldn't make it due to work.

By the way I like eating my cat's shit, I can't get off without it.

Sage and report screening threads.

>go to watch The Wind Rises
>public was mostly old people, specially old ladies
It was pretty comfy.

>watching anime in public

the english dub of ngnl0 isnt as bad as people try to make it out to be. There is nothing that the characters did that seemed too out of place, besides when Riku proposes to Schwi and when Schwi challenges Riku to a game and he says he will play by different rules, we arent shown the game (even though he did say it was impossible, but later on it turns into manipulating variables/cheating), and nothing after the credits :(.

>Nanoha Movie 1st
>Nanoha Movie 2nd
Man of culture.

My cat is living with my little sister now, unfortunately.

I miss them both dearly.

However, I did save a few weeks' worth of his shit to savor while whacking it daily.

I just realized im retarded, after thinking about it the rules he was talking about probably referred to treating the races as chess pieces and just to finish it off, i give it a the dub a 9/10 overall

I saw all 3 Kizu movies. No ticket stub but two Sup Forumsnons gave me some (you)s.

That would have been wise, wouldn't it have?

One correction, however--my cat is a female.

>had to see Zero dubbed because the only subbed screening was while I was working

Please stop impersonating me.

Rabbits breed like crazy, it seems.

Is the Mahouka movie any good? Its here in my shithole soon.

I said... STOP IT!!!!!! MOOOOOOOOODS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

>all the fucking spoilers from the voice actors before the movie

Did they seriously not playtest this or anything? I have never seen an entire theater united in their annoyance.

They'll never hear your screams!

In what backwater burger state are you on barefoot?

Pokemon Movies 1-4, Madoka Rebellion, Anohana movie, and Love Live. I'm planning on seeing the newest Pokemon movie in theaters next month as well.

all 3 Madoka Magica movies & Kimi no Na wa

Im planning to go watch the new pokemon movie

shit me too, on the same day. In dallas niggy.

OP here.

6/10 film

At least Sentai Filmworks cares about their fans showing this nationwide.

>tfw AniplexUS won't be showing the new Fate trilogy nationwide like they did with Ordinal Scale
>tfw some of the idiotic audience I watched it with said "I have no idea what the fuck I just watched"

>Dubbed

Nice Cinemark ticket faggot

Paprika.

Apparently the theater I live near is AMC now so it might have some anime movies coming up. Do they usually do subs or English dub?

>rated G

I gave GITS(2017) a try, if that counts, and was utterly disappointed.

> have big cinema near me
> shows anime films regularly
> exclusively shonenshit

yea i know
i went as a 3rd wheel for a friend and the chick likes dub

I was warned about that so I walked out for 15 mins until the film started

>while I was working
Well — there's your problem.

pokemon
i cried

All 3 Rebuild movies, all the Madoka movies, FMAB Movie, Momo e no Tegami. and Kokuriko-zaka Kara. This was in L.A. so aside from the last 2 there were a fuck ton of autists in the screenings. The Madoka movies were by far the worst, it was just as bad as being around Meleefags.

>being a useless neet

Except that is the receipt of payment and not the movie ticket, which half would be missing since it gets ripped off by the employees.

So, I would guess in his home.

as soon as i saw they were doing that i was the only one out of like 13 people that left

>go watch the first Madoka movie
>A group of people kept screaming and clapping (which isn't normal here) every 5 minutes or so
This made me hate anime movies and the Madoka fanbase in general.

Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods and Resurrection of F, and one of the Evangelion rebuilds. Don't remember which one.

Is it the dub or sub that is showing right now?

The first two Pokemon movies
FMA: Conqueror of Shambala
Sailor Moon R: The Movie

Still kicking myself over missing a screening of Castle of Cagliostro

Are you a flipfag?

If so, they did show the Love Live movie, you have no right to complain after that

I dragged my two friends to the theatre to watch Kimi No Na Wa and they actually really liked it.
Im going to see Koe no Katachi in a few weels

It is indeed.

>flipfag
Filipino? No, German.
I've got this vague feeling like the whole anime scene is
going down the drain over here, but I can't quite put my
finger on it. Have an image from a recent convention that
was pretty fun at least.

Mononoke Hime
Nausicaa
Spirited Away
Ponyo
Laputa
Kiki's Delivery Service
Totoro
Pom Poko
Poppy Hill
Kaguya Hime
The Wind Rises
Castle of Cagliostro
Wolf Children
Millenium Actress
In This Corner of the World
Girl Who Leapt Through Time
Evangelion Rebuild 1+2+3 marathon
Your Name 3 times
Red Turtle

That's about it I think. I'd give a lot to see End of Evangelion and Akira in a theatre. And Jin-Roh right after those.

Since my local cinema is going nuts and started screening several Sup Forums related stuff I got to see Princess Mononoke and kimi no nawa (will watch Howls moving castle in a couple of weeks). Also watched koe no katachi early this year (I still don't know what the fuck is going on since the only anime shit we've got ever was pure shit like the DB movie, nurutu and Saint Seiya from time to time).

Sad thing I missed watching Spirited away and Akira on the big screen because fuck me. If anyone knows what is going on here on Peru please tell me.

The wind rises and your name

Don't support Fathom. Those guys are moneygrubbing psychopaths.

I went to see Dragon Cry and was very surprised to find so many people, adults and women even, watching it in the self proclaimed heroine capital of Europe.

REDLINE
The Wind Rises
Kizumonogatari
I'll throw in Shin Godzilla because of Anno too

Kizu was a damn experience

This happened when I watched TFA. I hate them so much. They even laughed and cheered when that important character died.

Its only showing on October 5th and today and today was the last day showing it. If you missed out, the live action Tokyo Ghoul movie should be getting a limited but nationwide release next week and I have been hearing good things about it from people who saw it at Anime Expo 3 months ago

For screening shit most people won't go see?
