As the other user said what they were GOING for is a bait and switch between Airi and Kayo, Protag and Airi get together at the end and everything's cool. Problem is there's so much dumb shit immediately before that that the order its presented is completely unsatisfying, if you liked Airi seeing her presented as the second choice is pretty bad. Just having the bridge scene before the baby scene would be a big improvement.
