A dude bored with being a high ranking nazi becomes the personification of destruction with the help of his gay wizard friend
It says in the filename right there, Dies Irae.
So the stuff about some japanese high schooler with a guillotine is just going to come next episode and this was solely a "look what the bad guys look like!" presentation, right?
>nickname is Kemono
So he and his subordinates are the Kemono Friends?
Pretty much, yeah. In the VN this was the prologue and a side story.
That was the least interesting episode 0 I've ever seen.
Right after watching and not reading further than "Berlin in 1945" in the summary with no knowledge of the source, I was kind of hoping Heydrich and the other Germans would be the main characters and villains and the good guys just showed up on the side/have their story as the manga.
Would have been an interesting way to combine the two mediums.
Any chance they saved all the budget for episodes 1+ and this was just an outlier?
if the first episode is QUALITY, it does not bode well for the rest of the series
>Ren vs Shirou fist fight has better animation than the entire Battle of Berlin
Such an interesting concept ruined by horrible dialogue, scene transitions, and in general just jumping all over the place. I was honestly wondering what the fuck was happening and even skipped the last 2 minutes. At least I am now interested in checking out the VN.
The common route is free on steam. Or you could just pirate it.
apparently the Ren vs Shirou fight is even worse than anything in episode 0.
Maybe for the last few chapters we find a justification for the budget, in my opinion the anime is just a great reminder for the nips buy the mobage.
There's a mobage?

Why does Karl talk like that? He sounds somewhat homosexual....and wtf was that nonsense with the 3 bitches having to escort him somewhere?
I would try and forget everything you saw from episode 00. It has no business being an introduction to Dies Irae.
Isn't this crowfunded by nips and even surpassing the initial goal?
it got 3 times the intial goal but it was supposed to be for 1 OVA not a TV series.
This was some of the most shitty chuuni edgelord powertripping I have ever seen. Doesn't help the episode had the budget of a 2nd grader's lunch money.
Yeah nazis are alright and all, but could they defeat a wod mage ?
>This was some of the most shitty chuuni edgelord powertripping I have ever seen
That's a large portion of its appeal
I'm okay with it if its well written, but this was just garbage.
It depends. What spheres are we talking about?
Why in the ever loving god fuck did Reinhart punch those two girls? I don't get it. What was the point of that? Walk through them or push them to the side.
The most Chuuni VN ever made, including Demonbane
Really anyone should be able to understand at least this much from the episode even without reading the VN.
The vn is well written (and with a great translation) chunni bullshit and a sprinkling of Nietzsche throughout. It is very long though, quite a bit longer than FSN for comparison.
He doesn't like women. He said that they are like cheap candies.
WHAT!? Well written yet episode 0 is a complete cluster fuck.
He talks like a sly and omniscient god, which he is. And a bit homo also, yes.

The entrophy sphere, implying the mage is not in a public space, or an arch mage that has perfected the life sphere.
Episode 00 is a side story which tried to compress a few hours into less than 30 minutes, with no context or budget.
Oh! It really was that simple. Okay. I don't know why, but I got that and just assumed I misunderstood something. This show is going to be fun at the very least.
Its baffling that episode 0 wasn't just the actual prologue to the VN. There was enough material with Mercurius' monologue, the fall of Berlin, and Ren and Shirou's fight to set up everything appropriately.
Instead the director went with this mess, trying to do everything while succeeding at nothing. I hope this episode is just an outlier, but I doubt it.
Archmage or not, life shpere is not a problem for sure, even Machina can simply erase a mage like that. If we're talking about KKK as well, then it's even more simple, Yakou can kill the concept of immortality and even Soujirou can cut it.
Entropy is a bit more tricky. Obviously Longinus's effect still overrides any concept of probability warping, so Reinhard can do it for sure. Other than that, there's always Yusa with his Malignant Tumor, as long as mage remains a mage, it would work and bring him down to being a simple human without any abilities.
And all of that is before we start talking about Taikyoku/Atziluth level of Hadou gods, where it becomes a one-sided battle since Hadou always stronger than Gudou, and WoD mages have only their own soul, which makes them Gudou type. Shinza is pretty retarded in terms of power levels, so comparing it even to WoD mages isn't that interesting.
Monocle boobs is going to be best girl, isn't she?
angry day
It really doesn't make sense about the 3 bitches escorting him, but in the VN the bitches only met him accidentally on the fighting spot. The 2 woman officers were trying to solve the serial murder by themselves while dragging the purple slut around since she knows the location
She will lose her boobs, still best girl though
day of anger
did she became a loli or what?
>Why does Karl talk like that?
He's a literal god, he knows everything, he can talk however he wants.
>He sounds somewhat homosexual
He'd totally fuck Reinhard but he's loyal to his first love.
She's a 300 yo witch who's chasing after immortality, so she's turned into loli form once she made a pact with Reinhardt.
dies angry
Why the fuck did they even make such a quarterass cartoon?
...
To advertise the mobage is my guess
Yeah I think we would need Ascended mages, but no one knows exactly how that works other than all paradigms can coexist and that in some way the ascended humans are somehow their own cause and effect.
How would antedeluvians fare against DI characters?
>300 years old loli
this got my attention

REEEEEEE GIVE MY NORMAL EVERYDAY LIFE BACK
An ante and a very high level archmage are more or less the same powerlevel. So the answer is the same. The main problem here is that both settings have very different cosmogonies and metaphysical rules so it's hard to measure. A Discipline at level 10 is according to the rules a Plot Device that it does whatever the Antediluvian in question needs to do with the Discipline in question after all.
But you lost.
Two times actually.
>WoD discussion on a DI thread
Fuck, I love you anons.
Who's that kid on the far right? Never saw him before.
Isaac, the bastard kid
whitewolf.wikia.com
I think that if you pass this guy through an anime filter and scale his powerlevel accordingly he could work pretty well as a Shinza villain. He even has the millions of souls thing going on.
Apart from God and Caine, most WoD characters could easily be scaled to Shinza powerlevels.
Archmages and Antes would have Hadou God-tier powers and Methuselahs would be Gudou-tier
I don't know much about how the throne was created but iirc Dai Ichi Ten's world was an advanced high-tech civilization and they created a device able to bind, control and create universes and that's how the throne was created.
But then, who created the initial universe?
Wouldn't that be God? Or is it a butterfly effect kind of thing where the throne was always meant to be created at that one point to then create the universe?
>Or is it a butterfly effect kind of thing where the throne was always meant to be created at that one point to then create the universe?
This.
The throne is the source of everything, past, present and future.
Also, I really hope Pantheon's final boss is Naraka and the game ends with the destruction of the throne.
Would be nice to have all Hadou gods + Naraka's sensories vs. Naraka + the throne.
We don't know anything certain about the Ichi world, and nothing at all about the pre-Throne world, but it doesn't really matter since from the point when Throne was created, the whole universe was created anew. Even if there was some initial supernatural power, be it God, or Alaya, or pre-Throne Taikyoku, it doesn't matter now since it doesn't exist anymore.
Nah, Hadou and Gadou would need Oracles or the like to be defeated, not just archmages. Archmages and antediluvians would be pre-Hadou Reinhard tier.
>Also, I really hope Pantheon's final boss is Naraka and the game ends with the destruction of the throne.
Mercurius already does this in one of tge routes. The Throne is a good tool for the god in it, but it's not stronger than them.
Mercurius cannot destroy the throne.
No Hadou god can destroy the throne.
The only thing that can destroy the throne is a new throne and no society after Dai Ichi Ten's pre-throne has been able to achieve the technological level to do it.
Masada already hinted that the real key to the throne is the observer, Naraka and his sensories are the key.
Who the fuck is Naraka? Is he from KKK?
Naraka is only vaguely mentioned in Kajri Kamui Kagura.
Masada talked more about him in one of his interviews promoting Akebono no Hikari.
He's the lover of Dai Ichi Ten and the throne observer.
He's in charge of keeping the multiverse far away from creating high tech civilizations able to over-throne the throne.
His sensories are Shirou (aka Sukuna in Kajiri Kamui Kagura) and Judas from Paradise Lost.
Naraka is loyal to Dai Ichi Ten, but ever since Mercurius's paradox created the concept of Apoptosis, Shirou's existence as Ren's apoptosis has affected Naraka's loyalty for his waifu and he now has a soft spot for Ren/Yato.
>expect cute girls in nazi uniforms

The fuck am I reading?
He is a person who fought at the side of Dai Ichi Ten in the original shinza world. He installed himself into the Throne and became something like a system administator. He exists deep inside the Throne system, so deep that nothing can reach him or even notice him. After 6 heavens, only Hajun came close enough to be considered a threat for Naraka's existence. He is the prototype of the Observer. Observer in an entity that appears when the Throne era is about to change. It is currently unknown if there was an Observer in the Dai Ichi Ten era, since Naraka wasn't the Observer at that time. Most likely not, since for now Judas is considered the first one.
The first Observer (Dai Ni Ten era) is Judas Strife, Madan(magic bullet), one of Nerose's subordinates.
The second Observer (Satanael's era) is unknown, most likely he haven't appeared because of the Mercurius's nature.
The third Obserever (Mercurius's era) is Yusa Shirou.
The fourth Observer (Marie's era) is the unnamed person in the cult that created Hajun.
The fifth Observer (Hajun's era) is Tenma Sukuna (Yusa Shirou plus Ellie Strife), one of Yatsukahagi's Tenma.
It is currently unknown if the Observers are actually Naraka's sensories, because Naraka isn't a Hadou god, so they might work in a completely different ways.
>It is currently unknown if the Observers are actually Naraka's sensories, because Naraka isn't a Hadou god
Masada uses the word sensory, check his twitter.
>The fourth Observer (Marie's era) is the unnamed person in the cult that created Hajun.
Was it ever explained why Naraka thought it would be a good idea to create Hajun only to be like "fuck bring Tumor" later? Why did Naraka want to destroy Tasogare?
Not him but Japanese fans like to joke about Naraka being yanhomo for Ren and hating Marie.
He couldn't accept a universe ruled by Ren's lover and decided to "awaken" Hajun.
He fucked up majorly though.
>Masada uses the word sensory, check his twitter.
Yes, I might be wrong about that, I was a bit out of all that shinza stuff lately.
>Why did Naraka want to destroy Tasogare?
Because she had too much potential, enough to threat the very existence of Throne in the future.
5th Heaven technology was advancing too much and Naraka was worried that her world might create another Throne so his plan was for Hajun to destroy Marie and reset the multiverse, he didn't expected his plan to backfire on him spectacularly like that.
>Because she had too much potential, enough to threat the very existence of Throne in the future.
Wouldn't Amaterasu be a bigger throne? He literally replicates the best of every rule.
Civilization is going to progress a lot under his rule.
Amaterasu is quite possibly the biggest savior of civilization and also biggest threat to the throne.
We haven't seen Naraka's response yet, but I really hope that's what Pantheon will be about.
Maybe not, even KKK cast was sure there would a new Hadou God who will rise to take the Throne in a world like the 7th Heaven.
>I really hope that's what Pantheon will be about.
Man, I'm so hype for Pantheon.
Can't wait to see old man Dai Ni Ten kicking ass.
>old man Dai Ni Ten kicking ass.
Me too, user. Me too.
He looks so fucking cool
Where's Amaterasu? Unless he's been replaced by Rindou and Habaki's child.
>Unless he's been replaced by Rindou and Habaki's child.
Possibly Japain is speculating that the girl with the beret is Rindou and the girl doing the SNL pose is the MC and she's Amaterasu.
>Can't wait to see old man Dai Ni Ten kicking ass.
I just want our lord and savior Satanael to come back.
The throne can be destroyed. Hajun almost did and Yato does this just through existing. The throne isn't that powerful. It merely provides a plane where Hadou Gods can paint their Law and any God could just destroy it by painting to much on it. Painting too much on it creates a hole in reality called a singularity which leads to the throne core, the highest domain of existence.
His silhouette looks great.
Can't wait to see the ParaLost cast by Gyuusuke.
Maybe but I personally doubt it, Rindou would have her Japanese clothing.
