Your concern is illogical. Assassinating Trump during the proposed talks (a highly auspicious event) would result is NK being obliterated. Kim is obsessed with KEEPING his power, not being exterminated.
It is more likely these talks will either be cancelled, or unproductive. I suspect it is a stall tactic to take the heat off the centrifuges he has fired up quietly. NK pulled this trick once before, and we won't fall for it a second time.
