Why there was civilians movement in the movie that wanted to make peace with fucking bugs that mained their soldiers in half?

There's liberals in every universe unfortunately

not politics

There's no such thing as "species"

Would you like to know more...?

Because leftists are inherently suicidal.

Dunno but we were in it
So that's cool.

Michael Moore is so fat that he extends into fictional space sci fi

Because, as Anonymous Conservative said.

"The subconscious goal of every Liberal ideologue in matters of group conflict is to have it both ways. Betray their in-group to gain the favor of the out-group, while maintaining they cannot be attacked by the in-group they betrayed due to the warrior’s loyalty to in-group. If the in-group wins, they protest they are a part of the in-group, and shouldn’t be killed by their own people. If the out-group wins, then they plead that they helped the out-group and should benefit from favoritism.

If a cop shoots a criminal, then take the side of the criminal, since the cop can’t shoot you, but the criminal can. If it’s a war against Saddam, take Saddam’s side, since the Marines can’t kill you legally and Saddam can. Viet Cong, Communists, whoever. Liberalism in group competition is just a strategy of using intellectualism to justify treason to in-group for personal self-interest."

>civilians opinion
>mattering

why are space mormons so aesthetic?

>make peace with fucking bugs
Was all out war man, never any peace.
Then the ultimate weapon was developed after years of hard fighting, the day had come.

Space meteor was an inside job

>Why there was civilians movement in the movie that wanted to make peace with fucking bugs that mained their soldiers in half?
The media in Starship Troopers is controlled by the state. Civilians are considered cowards so it's not outside the realm of reason that the state would portray pacifist civilians as ineffectual stupid cowards who want to make peace with a species that doesn't understand the concept.

Every time I watch the movie I want to punch this constantly smiling bitch in the mouth.

Read the book; the movie has almost nothing to do with the source material but an understanding of both helps you understand just how much satire and subversion of themes is in the movie. In the book pacifists do not exist except for leisure planets where the population has given up the evolutionary struggles. In the movie I have forgotten the scene in question but a lot of the hidden humor is due to sheer juxatposition: soap opera casting and lighting about war mongering space fachists.

never had a good eye for allegory, have you?

Think of the bugs as muslims and then you'll have your answers.

Interdasting. Fails when it comes to Jews as they do drink their own poison but do not self identify with their hosts. Nor does it answer the root of harm care explanations

this is profound

I've met alot of nice mormons but your religion is retarded.

watch Wild Things instead

You sound really homosexual.

Here's the sauce.

anonymousconservative.com/blog/touching-the-raw-amygdala-part-ii-mike-wallace-debates-a-marine/

They were Mormons so I mean....

I liked the bit where the bugs shot off robocops hand so he became the terminator, and all ripley could do was watch through the window while he went "buuuugs!"

youtube.com/watch?v=xk4U8BembHM

This, there is a lot of hidden moking of the far-right utopia, in casting, lighting, editing, writing(true loves of both main characters are dead, "we are still dear friends and we are happy in this fashist world").

Until you start punishing treason again, then these fucks straighten up right quick.

Why didn't they just nuke the whole planet rather than land there and fight?

Humans encounter bugs on planets that the bugs have colonized. Viewing humans quite understandably as a hostile invading species, they defend themselves. An asteroid impact on Earth is blamed by the state-run media as the work of the bugs despite there being no evidence for this, as well as the concept making no sense.

The "attack" on Earth is used by the fascist world government to whip up a jingoistic desire for revenge, boost recruitment numbers, and further justify the bloated Earth military provided by the intertwined state-military-industrial complex.

The civilians wanting peace simply recognize a false flag attack when they see one, as well as the fact that all the bugs have done is defended themselves against human aggression towards planets the bugs occupy.

Kind of like 9/11.

What was the name of the cartoon that starship troopers but on the moon? I saw it as a kid and don't remember much more.

THOSE GOD DAMNED BUGS SHOT THE ASTEROID AND TOOK OUT A CITY YOU FUCKING CIVILIAN
Would you like to know more?

Every time I watch the movie I want to dick this constantly smiling bitch in the mouth.

I think in the books the bugs attacked human outposts like the covenant in halo...

They mistakenly thought they were in Ender's Game

Kek

imagine this,
>Canada has more resources then U.S.A
>U.S, want's said resources
are you going to nuke Canada and wait 10k years to be able to only dig up worthless rocks? or are you going to rake the Leafs and claim the resources?
btw i did not see the movie soo idk much of this shit

>Mormon extremists
This will never not make me laugh

And there was something about the space plasma bugs being a whole lot more of a threat than depicted in the movie, plus the whole underground colony thing. Can't nuke them unless you break the planet in the process.

On the other hand: They're bugs. You shouldn't feel bad for killing them.

And this goes for muslims as well.

Yes you were in it...as a bunch of mutilated colonists

...

>civilians movement in the movie that wanted to make peace
... bcoz peace has a better social outcome for everybody
(but munitions manufacturers) you stupid shits.

'cause they were the "apes that wanted to live for evah"

because libtarts gonna be libtards , why are there pro immigration movements in europe?
well kikes is the answer so there are probably space bug friendly kikes, too

there are, there are...
you remember the "mind control bug"?

SAY THAT TO BUENOS AIRES YOU HIPPIE

Because that version of Earth is ruled by a military junta and allows no other path to political participation than through the army. Presumably they make liberal use of the death penalty.

Fuck you jarhead I deserve rights

you have not read the book and you do not understand the essence of fucking meritocracy so, why don't you make like a tree and gtfo

so the militar junta actualy copied the original democracys/republics?
nice

taking literally a fucking cartoon as allegory... Stop pls it hurts

Same here. This bitch is ugly, it's like they tried to find the most disgusting actress for this role.

...

...

...so does pol still think that starship troopers is a redpilled movie showing a fascist utopia?

ur cool

The idea of voters having to earn it and cherish their vote is a nice one. I can give the book that. Otherwise the book is badly written and juvenile. The system proposed is too open to abuse, war for the sake of war is required which is retarded and the society is a fairly shitty one.

The movie is excellent. It can stand on its own a well made cheesy action Sci fi as well as a satire of the book and the fascist state that it proposes.
The bugs are the perfect enemy for the never ending war that heinleins society requires.

Buenos Aires was an inside job

On both Sup Forums and Sup Forums people will troll and insist that it's red pilled. They don't mean it. They just want to generate some genuine responses so they can feel smart for having tricked someone.

>Otherwise the book is badly written and juvenile.
Pure Heinlein basically.

>The movie is excellent. It can stand on its own a well made cheesy action Sci fi as well as a satire of the book and the fascist state that it proposes.

Paul Verhoeven's run of films between Robocop and Starship Troopers is so good for this quality that it even manages to redeem Showgirls, if you reconsider it in this context.

Few things I've never understood
>How exactly did the bugs launch an asteroid at Earth
>Did they do it deliberately
>How did they know where Earth was
>Why

see
humans were the bad guys the whole time
but i'm not sure we should even feel bad, they're bugs, they're not even individually sentient. only the brain bugs could be said to be sentient. and how many of them were there? so i dunno. drop some rods on them from space and steal their planets and you also prevent the bugs from becoming the bad guys later by attacking first. i guess. but it might have been cool if instead we made peace with the bugs so that we have an alliance in case another alien race shows up.

but perhaps at the rate at which the bugs were spreading and reproducing, conflict was inevitable. and therefore why not attack them while you still have an advantage

“Some say the bugs were provoked by the intrusion of humans into their natural habitat, that 'live and let live' is preferable to war with the bugs.”

This leaf has it right

Unironically yes. I'd take what's depicted a thousand times over what we have now.

You know why, they are a metaphor to the retarded brainless leftists with their bullshit like "islam religion of peace" "they are humans like us, there is no races, but you are a racist xddd"

>but perhaps at the rate at which the bugs were spreading and reproducing, conflict was inevitable.

Klendathu is on the opposite side of the galaxy to Earth. The bugs have no technology, and there's nothing to suggest that they have a "natural" FTL capability. The humans are only in conflict with them due to their FTL drives allowing them to reach that part of the galaxy.

I think the bugs are only able to spread by being shot out of orbit in a hibernating seed/ball by something similar to the plasma bugs, and hoping that they land on a distant planet after years of drifting through space. They're no risk to humans.

Also, interstellar fascism when?

youtube.com/watch?v=CIGHCoVzqtk

It's a fucking movie retard

i was under the impression that the brain bugs were capable of genetically re-engineering the species to develop weapons and so forth. the bugs themselves are the technology, genetic technology. how long until they spread and become impossible to defeat? and then do they develop ftl and turn their sights on earth? and by then will there numbers be too great to stop them? do they even have the human concepts of mercy and empathy or would they ignore those concepts like humans so often do and attack us anyways? do you let a potential threat grow? if they were all sentient individuals then our empathy and mercy should compel us not to attack them as we did irregardless of a potential threat. but lets be honest here, they're bugs, most of them are mindless drones. is it really so bad to wipe them out now before they become a problem later? perhaps they are coldly logical and once they set their sights on earth it was only a matter of time before they decided to wipe us out as a potential threat.

Based on a book bet you didn't know that hotshot

Holy fuck you are gay. Shes pretty. Anyway Dizzy is best girl

Sheen gave her hiv

>Shes pretty.

Qt

Pig-like nose, lips too big, retarded open mouth. I didn't find my dick on a scrapyard to masturbate to this.

I know right, why go for worst girl when you can go for best girl? Rico you fucked up!

She giggles like an idiot during wartime and almost crashed couple of trillions $ worth spaceship during flirtation with her instructor.

She would be court martialed and shot irl.

My white nigga

Why could they resurrect Rico but not Dizzy? Because his parents were rich or something?

wtf her actor is german/austrian jewish

> S-sieg heil!

>no girl will have such a crush on you that she will follow you on the battlefield just to get maimed by giant bugs

why live

Don't they use Gravity to catapult themselves or something.

Best girl. Pretty little tits too.

In the books, the bugs were an intelligent, technologically advanced alien civilization who were in a more or less conventional war with humanity. Their biology did not come into play, and they fought with technology. They happened to have stuff built underground, but that only comes into play in a situation where their ability to dig tunnels (via machines of some kind) is fast enough to move forces around the battlefield under cover. It's mentioned that if the goal is to destroy an enemy, the WMDs come out. Mobile infantry is used where precision serves some goal.

>hurr durr starship trooper iz redpills

The movie is not, it's supposed to ridiculize the book.

if you want the real redpill read the novel, Heinlein was a redpill master, pro-military, pro-nuclear weapons, anti-commie, even though he was criticized by liberal faggots and called "fascist" many times, they were forced to recognize his great talent as a sci-fi novelist.

this as a kid I found her tits horrendous, now I don't mind them

Bugs have big underground cities that can't be nuked

Best girl passing through

the movie is a satire just like pretty much every verhoeven movies.

It's still a great movie tho'

The filmed utterly failed to ridiculize. We have subverted it and Verhoevens faggy boomer ideas.

Daily reminder that she posed naked for playboy :^)

richardsdenise.free.fr/pages/playboy.php

The movie was still great because Verhoeven didn't even bother to read it, so instead of being a satire he somewhat promoted it.

I'm sure a fleshlight looking like that would sell well

You limp-dick son of a bitch. Even in the far future you are trying to betray us.

>he didn't read the book

the absolute state of (you)

Gravity points away from space, user. Not towards it.

theres a theory that the movie was analogous to the iraq invasion iirc. the bugs were supposed to be a satirical view of how the US media portrayed ppl in the ME to justify invasion. im guessing peace protestors are just that

>he doesn't use gravity to gain momentum

can you even into rocket science, fag ?
